Yeah we think it's whoever has the higher %, but it also seems to work like Sonic's homing attack. By that I mean that if you're invincible it doesn't consider you a target, and won't try and hit you(We haven't actually tested this part out yet, but it sounds like it makes sense o-o).

That's at least a pattern we've noticed/guessed at-ish. We haven't actually sat down and tested this, but it seems to be relatively consistent.

Have any of you gotten a glitch on fd where you get a second upB? This has happened to me plenty of times before on training mode under the right lip of fd but yesterday it happened in an actual match.

Could someone tell me what Snake is supposed to do against Wario, and Luigi? I know spot dodging is awful against them, but learning anything else would be awesome. ^_^

Against wario? Avoid him.

Act like you want nothing to do with him.

Camp from afar, retreat with pivot grabs, use mortar slide to avoid when above. It's gay, but you need to play this way.

Ergh.

Sorry, nope.

Alright, here is what I have come to learn. Nothing in the game is bad to do except when it gets you into trouble. If you happen to spot dodge and not get punished for it. Then you did nothing wrong.

Rolling all the time is not bad if the opponent is not doing anything about. Once they do, then you realize this won't work all the time.

Playing in a way that can be caught onto is what really gets you into trouble. So, do whatever you can that won't get you into trouble.

wario - pivot grabs **** his dair bomb approaches. grab release to sweet spot bair kills at l20 if fresh. if you read his jump, intercepting bairs and nairs are amazing. warios wait for the dacus to punish with waft, use it unexpectedly. warios will try to poke with sh retreating fairs. don't try to shield and punish dair bombs or dair in general: if its spaced wario has too many mix ups. he can also mix dair up with bite if you rely on shield too much.

hit him hard with tilts and tech chasing wario is where we profit.

camp the hell out of wario, make sure you're not pushed to one side of the stage, you need to keep control of the stage.

luigi - if he gets in, you're done. keep him out with tilts and run away and camp.

So essentially I have to run away from them and camp, but Wario kind of leaves me some room for me to work up close(i.e. Tech Chasing, Challenging certain aerials with nair, etc.)? o-o

i reckon there's plenty of characters we beat up close. on the ground at least.

wario isn't one of them though :(

I've got another question. =D

Does anyone have any experience with a Falco/Snake team, or have any tips?

EDIT:How well does u-tilt work as an anti-air against Wario? o-o

Badly. Unless he's bad.

He can punish hard on Wiff or miss. His mobility is 2g. Your main anti-air is retreating pivot grab.

I'm still not seeing anything unusual, it looks like he's missing an instant throw or airdodge catch to me. What exactly do you mean by fake throw, then?

Now that I'm breaking it down, I think he dropped it and already had another grenade out and because he had 2 out you can't throw again. So really he just shielded and attempted another throw, all in one motion which looked like a fake throw.

I'm guessing your referring to the nade snake has at 7:35 game time or :27-29 seconds on the youtube time.

That's simply holding a grenade, moving forward and shield grabbing.

What setups should we be using to pressure olimar from a neutral position?
try to intercept his pikmin throws and his landings after jumping pikmin throws with dash attack or dacus.
if you are very far away from him, you can lob some grenades. don't pull grenades when anywhere near him obv, you'll get grabbed. and don't try to grenade camp him, that wont work on most olimars. pikmin are better lol

tbh i think that's all you can do. the good thing is dash attack pops him into the air, and its quite easy to punish olimars landings. other people might have more insight. there's basically no safe approach in this matchup, and also you can't outcamp him. personally i think its snake's hardest matchup.

resist the urge to spotdodge unless your spacing is perfect because both his f-smash and his GRAB (WTF) beat close spotdodges.

Thank you for your insight, but this isn't quite what I was looking for. What I meant by my question was more along the lines of, "How do we pressure him with our projectiles into getting grabbed?," although I understand how I didn't give that impression.

My tech chase game against the whole cast is far and away the strongest part of my snake, but I feel like my pressuring setups are completely inadequate against the good Olimar I play. I'm kind of uncomfortable just dash attacking/dacusing at people (especially olimar because of whistle) but I'll try this out anyway.

I think his grab has a hitbox while the pikmin is coming back, so I think that's why it beats close spotdodges.
Oli's grab is dumb. >_>

IMO against Oli, don't approach unless you made him jump. Lob nades in his general direction, forcing him to shield or jump. Obviously he can't shield forever; when he jumps, you move in. Otherwise I'm really hesitant to move inside his range; it's just too easy for him.

Does anybody use Fair on purpose and on a regular basis?
I do did. It has a unique spacing to it that once you get down you can see the instances it can be used. I've had quite a bit of success with it. Especially in certain matchups.
