V I think you have Pit too low.

My guess is the next tier list will be made with respect to the international (Japanese and European communities) where Pit is popular and does quite well against very good players. I don't think putting him in mid tier makes much sense anymore.

In my opinion I think Zelda should be next to ganondorf, Falco should be in A tier, Ness should be in Mid tier, and Wolf should be in front of rob.

I'm willing to buy that people think ROB belongs in the same tier as Wolf/Fox. I've thought that, myself, in the past, and am open to that possibility.

Being above them, though? That seems like complete madness to me. If ROB made it into D tier, he'd deffo be at the bottom of it.

I just don't get how anyone can think ROB should be top of mid he's bottom of mid/low tier, heck i'd feel more comfortable to just admit he's low tier there i said it.

Europe and Japan have their own communities, their own tier lists, and their own metagames that have developed and continue to develop separately from North America. I'm not too sure the North American tier list should reflect developments that North Americans don't fully understand.

Also, Pit doesn't even do that well in Japan anymore, maybe if you only consider West Japan, but the only really notable regulars at SumabatoX tournaments are 9B, Souther, Cross, and the Pit players themselves.

Fox gets -3'd by ICs, Pikachu and Sheilda, and also has a really tough time with Diddy apparently. On top of that, he doesn't really go even with anyone in top tier outside of Falco (who should be less common since he also gets beaten fairly hard by ICs and Pikachu) and MK I suppose.

Wolf gets -3'd by Pikachu (I suppose this could be -2), Wario and DDD, while apparently going even with ICs, Oli and Marth.

ROB gets -3'd by DDD and ZSS, and also has a pretty tough time against MK and Falco (no I don't think MK is a -3 for ROB) and apparently Olimar (I don't agree with this either, seems like -1). He goes even (or possibly beats) ICs, and also goes evenish with Marth and Pikachu.

I suppose realistically you could make a case for Wolf > ROB cause his counters (Pikachu, Wario, DDD) aren't that common, and he has more even top-tier MUs than ROB, but I think theoretically ROB is better because I think Pikachu and Wario should have more rep, but they don't.

It's also a matter of personal bias.

@G-heb although I can agree to a serten dagree with you I still think diddy isn't that much overrated actualy. ADHD is back and doing some good work as well as Zinoto who is getting better and better. And guys like P-1 and GDX are still placing decently. I think diddy is at least top 4 tbh. And tbh I am not so sure if IC's ara sacond as easely as people think they are. In Japan I say yes deff but with the Current American and Europian ruleset As well as IC's not placing at all in europ makes it an hard guess.

I think it's kinda hard to guess which 5 characters are the best other then MK for 1st.
Falco,Diddy,Snake,Olimar and IC's all could be considered top 5.

@ V115: Pikachu and Wario are both -2 for Wolf. Other than those two and D3, he has an even amount of 0 and -1 MUs with the rest of top/high tier. I think that's a lot better in the tournament scene than ROB and Fox who have to worry about worse/more common counters :x

Honestly I think ROB > wolf. Of the top/high tiers, ROB has imo more favorable mu's than wolf vs IC's, diddy, snake, pika and wario. D3, falco, marth are equal. Wolf is (slightly) better vs MK and oli, heaps better vs ZSS.

Just a note To anybody making a tier list of their own. There honestly isnt more than 5-6 seperate tiers of viability (including one of mk by himself so 4-5 w/o him) for all the characters in the game
Characters that are expected to win tournaments
Characters that dont surprise you when they win tournaments.
Characters that DO surprise you when they win tournaments
Characters that really shouldnt be winning tournaments.
And characters that dont/wont win tourments.

I don't see how could be argued as better then either having a ton of -3's and -2's. Anyone ever seen / vs ? Those 2 matchups are terrifying to watch as gets limited incredibly. And those aren't even his death matchups.

has one death matchup () and two bad ones vs /. Other then that he a few -1's, and the rest of MT/LT is his favor or even for the most part.

I suppose I can't really make a case for Wolfikachu being -3 cause stupid ESAM lost to McPeePants and the MU barely gets played out and stuff

And as for Wolf:Wario I guess I'd also have to see it played out more often.

I suppose it's possible that this is just ignorance on my part of Wolf's MUs, cause I almost never see Wolf matches. McPee needs to travel more.

I think wolf goes even with IC's (at best really, I played an IC recently and almost lost cuz i can space perfectly and hit one climber whereas the other powershields and grabs because im in hitlag or whatever its called. That really made me feel like the MU's an entire gamble that skewes in IC's favor)...whereas rob beats ic's with +1 or something

Gull, honestly, where do you get your matchup numbers from? I do realize rob - diddy is pretty bad, but I don't really feel like wolf - diddy is much good either. And if people consider OCEAN - ADHD, they should consider OCEAN - m2k as well.

Btw honestly I also think rob does better vs d3 than wolf. Wolf's way to grab, easier to mess with offstage. Fox just destroys d3. Weird.
