lol, from where are you pulling this "5"?
Arbitary number for discussion, but, considering ICS metagame revolves around chaingrabbing and olimar's metagame is heavily reliant on low % grab combos, this will really drop them, more so than any other characters

Unless you can. I haven't played Melee in years. Too boring. But I don't think you can change anything in Melee.

Doesn't this mean characters that Dedede relies on pummeling to infinite are now safe?
Mario, Luigi, Samus... as well as the new buffered pivot grab on Snake. And I might be wrong, but does the Wolf ledge infinite require pummeling?

Still, this just made the MU against Olimar a lot easier.

it would be wise to throw as soon as you grab with other chain grabbing characters as well.

Is it not just as quick and easier to rotate the Control Stick and mash A/R/both?

Only gripe with this is having to remember to change hand position on the controller but otherwise this looks like pretty strong stuff. I'll be interested to see how IC's and Olimar's fare after this

Pummel cgs will only work at high %s. So some of the infinites might not work.

This won't do anything for characters who don't pummel in their chaingrabs/buffer them straight away (e.g. Falco, Pikachu)

It'll probably slightly mess up the chaingrabs of character's who have to get the damage from pummeling (e.g. Bowser's Grab releases and maybe bits of DeDeDe's chaingrab that need him to pummel) or those where you have to wait for a short time (e.g. IC's) and I imagine it'll mean that characters who suffer from grab release stuff (e.g. Mother Boy's and Squirtle) won't take as much damage since people won't be able to get as many pummels in before they break out

wow this is such great news, I'd be interested in other methods though since I am right handed and my left hand is a little ******** at times. rotating the dpad is not easy for me (but I'll certainly be practicing the hell out of it), and the change in hand position is uncomforable

what next? turbo controllers? loljk

but hey I would like to see if someone would test it out with one to see how much more/less effective effective it could be

Nah, that ain't "own" worthy. It's interesting though.

Now, if Falco or Wolf could do that, that could be "own" worthy. Needs hitstun to be at that level. :troll:

Well, wavebouncing isn't that bad and I do it all the time, but doing a quarter circle that fast sounds difficult >.>

The fox laser thing is fake.

Edit: And the grab breakout thing doesn't really affect good ic players.

I think it's dumb to make people sit and practice something that is impossible. I would rather not waste peoples time and it really isn't funny to me. Maybe to one person specifically it would be funny but not a lot of people.
