I want to thank everyone who showed up for the Brawl Tournament on Saturday @ Play N Trade in Chandler Mall for the release of the game. It was a HUGE turn out. 102 competed. Biggest Tournament. It could have gone smoother, but not bad overall.

Too predicatable, as usual. It seems, the same people are winning or coming in top 8 every time. Come on everyone! Is everyone else just mediocre? Where are the other good players? We're planning another tourney next month. Now that many of the Wii's are mostly unlocked (thanks Nintendo for not allowing trasfer of game data), we should have about 7-8 for next one. Let's see some new blood next time.

By the way, all Wiis had component. I'm told there was no noticible lag.

Just because it's a new game, doesn't mean that the better people will be crappy again. They are different mentally than the vast majority of gamers. The sole factor that contributes to their greatness and is lost the rest of the smashers is AZ too good.

It is our duty as humanitarians and my personal mission to enlighten those bright-faced people looking to play Smash with this philosophy.

Lag is not a terribly hindering circumstance for Brawl, as it is already a crappy game.

For example, let me paint you a picture: if your dinner already tastes like sh*t, you shouldn't be expect to be outraged if somebody farts on it.

Or if you've just been kicked in the testicles, it would be silly to start crying when someone pinches your arm.

Don't get me wrong; Brawl is an entertaining game. It's just not as good as Melee.

My name is Ryan B Tucker and I hail from Phoenix, AZ as indicated in the post - I am 23 years old, am a full time ASU student (Software Engineering, Junior) and I work part time as a security guard. I'm a semi casual semi competitive Smash player who's been with the series since the 64 - I'm just looking to see if anyone would like to exchange friend codes for 1 v 1s or all out 4-man brawls (or anything, really) -

It really doesn't matter - I just want to make sure there's always someone to play with online (for whatever reason my "anyone" wifi doesn't work - ever).

Connection wise I am using cox cable on a NETGEAR wireless router which sits 3 feet away from my Wii.

Ah, and don't let my post count fool anybody - I've been actively reading these boards since 2006 - too bad there isn't a "posts read" counter

Hey - you and the rest should PM me your friend codes :D I still have optimism about Brawl and although it will never be as tech savvy as Melee I can still see it having potential for competitive play - although tripping in front of ike still makes me want to kick babies and what not.

stop being ******* ad arguing abuot the game. get used to it. many people (including Ken) hated melee at first.
