Every mid tier besides ICs give Peach an annoying time <_< Atleast, from my experience... I've always had trouble vs Falcons, the Marios, I've yet to take a set from Wes' Samus (last time we played was in like, February though), I only went ~ even with HugS in friendlies at SCC, I recently lost to Green Mario, and Phish-it basically forfeited a winning set vs me with his Ganon. >_>
Why you have trouble with Mario? Is it because of his combos or because he's nicely balanced

Has PC ever tried to play you with Mario?

He's just.. annoying. You can only edge gaurd him while he's tornadoing, he has very solid combos on Peach. His usmash and fsmash are excellent killers... He's hard to combo himself.

*shrugs*

What's your point?

Fsmash can kill at much lower %s considering it's not always predictable.

Green Mario killed me with a nice combo ending in usmashing me on the top middle platform of Battlefield <_<

Hey Cort, what do you think about the Young Link matchup with Peach? Also how many Young Links have you played?

I'm either playing the matchup really wrong, because it's fairly annoying and hard.. but it's just.. annoying. It's not ridiculously hard like vs good Marths or Foxes, as much as it is a gigantic chore.

I just find myself chasing after the YLink the whole time instead of playing more patiently, just because it's more in my nature to be aggressive. <_<

I have a few different ideas to make the matchup easier, though. I just have to try them out first.

That's because greenmario went to VLS preprogrammed to fight peaches.

>.>

He doesnt count anyway; he uses a gamegenie to cut frames off of his mario.

So your Doc advice is to lose?

;_;
Doc is one of those chars where you learn the matchup through experience. his pills do around 8% so dont get get hit by them. your aerials outprioritize them. avoid his dthrow fair finisher(dont get grabbed). a doc will kill with this move 70% of the time. If you do get grabbed, DI behind him and pray he misses the fair. I wish I could give better advice but again, its a matchup that you can approach in many ways

I don't know, it depends on the player. =P

But I'm fairly certain death is around 1/50, and the items are all 1/100 or 1/300, take your pick.

I also find Mr. Saturn to be the most common item, while bob-ombs and beamswords are both equally as rare as each other.

Beamswords are more rare than Bob-Ombs. Stitchface is more rare than Saturn, but less rare than Bob-Ombs.

Maybe its just because Green Mario is amazing, I don't know, but he was the first Mario player that gave me trouble, he's just insanely good against Peach. At VLS I played him in 4 friendles and beat me twice and I beat him twice. Maybe I was just approaching him wrong, I'm not sure.

Cort, XIF you going to Pound 3? We really need to Peach ditto this time ;(.

We played once in crews, we were both starters. I took him to last stock 70% or something and then he grabbed me and uthrew/uaired for the win.

Just 1 game... *shrug*

No johns, but I played poorly all throughout VLS. :(

Anywho, I've been uploading new friendly matches between myself and PC Chris. I'm uploading more of them right now.

Cort, when and where did you met PC Chris?

Are there any Peach players that gives you trouble in Peach Dittos?

What are Peach's top 5 moves from best to decent?

What are the uses of the backthrow over any other throw? What directions should I throw Marth in?

I first met PC Chris at a small tournament Mofo held at his house in January or February of 2004. I beat him in our tournament match 2-0 and really felt a strong force coming from his playing that I've never felt before >_> We didn't really talk much or become friends until Smash 4 Cash in June 2004 where we teamed on a whim and did exceptionally well. <3

Reading this post still puts a few tears in my eyes. http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?p=661172#post661172

I only beat Xelic in maybe 6 out of the 10 Peach dittos we had, he's very good. Also, Mew2King usually beats me in dittos but he's not fun to play against at all because all he does is float backwards and wait. I hate him.

Top 5 Peach moves?
Dsmash
Nair
Jab/Turnips (tied >_<)
Dash Attack
Fair

bthrow? Usually to get them off the stage. Also, dthrow is usually your best bet, as Andalousa stated.
Down, until higher percents, where forward would be better. You get a dash attack out of the down throw.
Yar.
I see no Dash Attack in your list >_>

Also, Cort, are you coming to Epita?
Epita? Is that the French tournament in late February? If so, then MAYBE!
Bair should be in there somewhere.
Nope. Bair is much more situational and slightly less useful than the moves I listed.

I don't think I've stolen any tactics at all, apart from a few secret ones no one knows about that really aren't too super useful.

I kind of just run around and do my own thing.

XiF steals all my shnoz.

Cort, what characters are easiest to gimp and how?
Probably characters with horrible recoveries. Just use your brain. >_<
actually there is a REALLY sexy way to gimp fox, but i have to play other foxes to make sure it works universally and not jus on mike. lol

note for the peach ditto comment:

playing like vidjo is the best way to play a peach ditto IMO. most fancy tactics dont work and u get dsmahed to hell :(

I disagree with the vidjo Peach ditto. The last time I played M2K I beat him.

On DL64 :) It's easier to play safely and cautiously, but if you can safely play offensively, it's much trickier to deal with than people might think. It's how PC Chris and KDJ play in general, I think. M2K's Marth is fairly aggressive in general too, despite loving the ledge a lot.

Look, there's 26/7/8 characters. I'm fairly exhausted and I'd rather not go in detail on how to gimp all of them. Sorry >_<
