well, i never thought much about it cuz FC was faster and usually more effective
then i played my friend's ness and he was spamming DJC attacks and they were actually really fast
but idunno if peach's will be as fast as ness' or as useful cuz his fair and bair are crazy stuffs

Well peaches second jump give her a sort of horizontal push in the beginning of the animation so I've been using it to jump behind someone's shield and Nair behind them -> jab and such. I just notice that I DJC a lot more than that probably out of habit, like accidently DJC an aerial off the ledge to smack someone and then dieing...

is DJC really that important? i only FC or shffl my aerials, never tried DJC
and if it is really important, can anyone tell me what exactly a DJC is and how to do it properly?
I'd say it's not to be overused, but certainly has its time and place. DJC b-airs are neat. Using DJC aerials can help you mix up your game and not be as predictable. But... that's just my scrubby $.02

DJC aerials are onlygood (as someone mentioned I think), for the random moments where you dont like where your momentum is taking you and you wanna attack right there or even change direction slightly. Its really good for instances during combo's where you can DJC nair out of a combo, where otherwise your momentum would put you out of range and then even more vulnerable for a follow up. But also, using floating aerial from a combo starter is nice against lets say CF where he'll uair you and try to follow up with a knee, sometimes you can float back fair and space it perfectly.

all are fairly situational though.

Great answer, XiF.

It's funny how often Peach can escape combos when people play impatiently against her. She can often times automatically space with backwards floats and fair/nair out pretty often, like you said. You just kind of get the hang of it with a lot of experience and know when it's possible to do so.

In conclusion, if you play patiently against Peach you will **** her.

Yeah... I talk about how to **** Peach in my thread. u_u

from my personal experience, the first step to being patient is picking marth. But than if peach plays patiently against you, she will **** you right?

the bottom line is that peach is slow, and that anyone that is faster can be patient and just run circles around here. hence why its seems the faster they are, the harder the counter is.

minus CF, cause she eats approaches for breakfast lunch and dinner.

I still have a lot of trouble against CF because of his speed, and ways he's able to maneuver around platforms and stuff and just randomly space bairs/have good combo ability from grabs. Maybe I play somewhat to offensively, or maybe offensively the wrong way >_> But I only have an easy time against CFs that I can shield grab (no one should be able to shield grab a good CF...) Otherwise I tend to either do somewhat poorly against CF or completely annihilate him, it's rarely even. u_u

Brinstar and Mute are kinda wicked stages. I have absolutely no idea about Kongo and how Peach even does in that stage. (Huzzah Cort, answer me that (Or XIF) ).

I don't think I've ever taken a Marth to Jungle Japes, ever.

And I've gone over it in the topic...

Marth generally doens't go very well on stages that aren't perfectly flat. I like DK64.

I thought it was a good level since you can Vidjo people hard (AKA camp turnips and dsmash as they try to approach with fairs or w.e)

I'm not the pro here, lol. But did you go over how Peach does in Kongo? lol I'll look through the pages again if you have.

It's a giant stage, the edges are annoying but not really for Peach, the level has slants in it (bad for Marth, good for easy pseudo cc'd dsmashes)

It's fairly campable with all the platforms.

Now that I think about it, I do poorly in some of the counterpick stages. How should Peach play on the counterpick levels? Like Floats, Cruise, Green Greens and Brinstar? And when would I need to use them?

I'm sorry if my question is vague.

Floats, just turnip camp and camp up against walls of Pokemon. The level is gay so it calls for gayity.

Cruise... is a fairly neutral stage. I play it like any other and pay attention to where I am in correlation to where the stage's boundaries are/are going.

Green greens? I'd probably change to Fox, lol. That or check out how Xelic (or what it DoH?) did in regional crews against Chillin at FCD. www.youtube.com/omnigamer

Brinstar is a good Peach level, I don't know why anyone would counterpick it against Peach. Just laugh and play gayly

hey Cort, i was wondering if you knew any ways to approach a good samus, and then what to do when you get to them? like i have to play this samus next week http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdpV1H8mo3k
and i have no idea how to fight a samus like that.

Hey Cort. I wanna take a shot at this one

Samus can be a problem for Peach. But you can be a bigger problem to her. here is a few things I want you to work on if you want to get better at this match.

When you hit her off the stage, if she is far away and below the stage coming back, throw turnips. if they connect a good 2 to 3 times you can send her backing. If she is above you, create a wall of turnips and throw them at her.them when she comes down slowly, hit her with a N-air or some else to keep her off, If he is hanging on the edge, Float over it and do a FC to D-air, then N-ar her for the kil (time it)

when you fight her on the ground, at times you have to be evasive with her. watch for missiles, its always good to have a turnip in your hand and follow up with a combo.. Use the FC techs, to take her out and make the match hard for her. Samus cant really do much about that. Also be patient when fighting her. Watch how the samus moves. watch how they come at you and all.

If getting comboed, DI away. Don't try to get a hit in before her. get some space then go into the fight. Back off when getting comboed
If samus throws you down, DI away from her cause she will hit you with a N-air
Move around alot, wave dash, Dashdance, and Use FC techs, try not to stay still so much. Confuse them in your movement
Watch for her missiles, if you have to retreat go ahead and get some space from her, then you think you got it, go back into the fight. nothing wrong with running away and getting space
Mix up your grabs and dash attacks.
Don't crouch cancel aginst samus too much, you will get owned for it hardcore.

Of course I'll play. I remember enjoying our friendlies at that Zenith many moons ago, your Peach reminded me a lot of mine, so I can't wait to see how you've improved over these months.

I'll get back to the Samus question when I'm not so tired.

only thing i can say about DK64 is that it has high celings.. yayz. but peach doesnt move up and down very fast, so i'm not sure about it as a peach stage, but i wouldnt freak out if it were counter picked against me

rainbow cruise scares me, but i havent really played it with peach enough to say much

green greens isnt too bad for what DoH said. however, i dont see it as survivable (?) for peach, though u can camp the ish out of it. i guess this stage is pretty playable if u can play it

Green Greens is such a terrible stage.

It was Xelic in this video. DoH did poorly immediately following.
if thats the c\FCD crew battle, i believe those were vs foxes... who ***** peach neways. and green greens is a fox stage, so... XD

i'll reply to the vs samus ? later. omw to another class now :) yay mobility

So Cort, got a few questions in mind.

1) What kind of advantage and disadvantage you have with Peach on Final Destination.

2)What was the worst match you ever had?

3) Do you think your CF can beat PC's or Isai's CF?

1. What matchup >_>
2. I don't know. Probably one where I SD'd twice or more.
3. I go pretty even with PC in Falcon dittos, if not winning the majority. I've never ditto'd Isai, but it would be fun as hell.

Read the topic, particularly my posts... from the beginning. It's respectful to me and the rest of the people in this topic asking new questions/following the topic.

Link - Don't have experience at all in this matchup/stage really
Samus - Annoying to approach without any platforms to camp, I really dislike this stage for this matchup
Fox - lol CGs, but can also kill you at < 100%
Falco - see fox, minus the deaths, plus the ****
Marth - x_x
Bowser - ...Bowser?

This might have been asked but...:

how come when i try to climb FD using peach bomber, it doesnt actually 'bomb' the wall. she more or less floats into the wall like she would if i didnt use peach bomber at all. is there an exact distance from the wall i have to use it and if so, about how far?

thanks

You make it sound like you never played Bowser on that stage. lol

Well, is Peach effective on Final Destination in general? Can she be really agressive and spacey on this?

Also, I was expecting Marth to be **** on that stage, but I hoped for some kind of advantage. How about Shiek and Captain Falcon?

You can't be too close to the ledge, or too far away.

It's.. a stage. The only real effective things Peach can actually abuse there is her CGs against the spacies and Falcon, otherwise the stage isn't that amazing. I really like platforms because of all the possibilities of approaches and chances of people pseudo-CCing your dsmash on platforms if they happen to jump into you or are pushed off a platform as you dsmash.

cort when do you usually float cancel into nairs or bairs? like after wavedashing? or just straight float cancel as ledge gaurd?
and will the bair or dair or nair save you against a foxes uair after you get up throwed? its happend to me a couple of times and i dont know if its the fox upairing at a different angle or if its just good to do that.

There's no specific times to decide "Hey, I'm going to float cancel into a nair or bair!" You've gotta use your brain for this.

It all depends on where your opponent is and how things are swinging. It just comes with experience of playing the game.

At very very low %s you can float out or air dodge out of uthrow uairs, at mid to high %s it combos, so the best you can do is smash DI the weak hit of uair out of range of the 2nd hit, thus saving you.

Dair definitely won't have priority over a uair, neither will nair or bair unless the Fox spaces the uair HORRIBLY. You shouldn't be able to react to a good Fox's uthrow uairs aside from DIing and hoping your SDI works, you can't just rely on the Fox to be bad and mistime the jump to uair..
