You missed what I was trying to say. Yes I understand that you have to win against the best competition to be "recognized." However, as a competitor, the main object should be to beat everybody and win the tourney. You do your thing but you can't travel much and can't go to every tourney a PR member is at. True Blue can and does. He made a comment that didn't sit well with me as a competitor (not personally).

When a player goes through a bracket and wins all their matches but doesn't play the tougher players in their bracket, maybe because the PR players lost their matches early on. Why would I look down on that person who just kept winning? It's not his fault the PR player lost their match so he couldn't play them. He just kept doing his thing.

Lastly, I understand if the player wants to be recognized by peers and the PR being an outlet for that. I just don't think they should put that above winning a tourney.

I think wanting to be on the pr is a fine thing. But yeah it definitely is secondary to doing well and winning. The pr is just like icing on the cake. Not necessary at all but it's cute.

actually no bracket pools go quite well, and I really didnt have a problem running it. If we did round robin we'd still be there

since there doesn't seem to be an option for the pools bracket to get bigger, my FL wins at NLL were against Awal, ******, Trump, Viper and Hungrybox.

im so ****ing tired of people saying "i placed in the money"

WHO GIVES A ****?! LOL, is that why you enter tourneys? or is it cause you love the game and the community? if you are only playing for cash, then get a job, or get more than one job >.>

when i hear about people money matching their own crew members just cause they feel thats the only way they wont sandbag, i dont know what to say

i want to feel like im playing with people who care about the game, and how well they did, aka what they placed, and not the stupid mentality that money is everything


ive gone to tourneys and won over 100 dollars, etc, and i dont speak a word of it, cept to my parents cause thats all they care about from smash, but all i ever talk about is how much fun i had, who i beat and what i placed, cause thats all that really matters to me

how is japan so godlike with out prize money? cause they dont have our ******** mentality, and they actually care to win TO WIN
