Capital Lan is Canberra's new BYOC LAN. The 1st event was on November and smash will be present at the second one!

I don't know of any weekly hangouts, but Calibur has said he is planning to do some more regular tournaments starting in February. We just had one last week and it had a pretty decent turnout.

Yay new people. I've confirmed the booking for next month on the 23rd so start spreading the word. I'll update things properly in the next couple of days.

Outside of tournies I occasionally hold smash meets at my place and Gords (who is in Japan right now) tends to host big meets on roughly a monthly basis I believe.

Thought I'd give you a heads up YSB is finally kicking off for 2014 on Saturday 15th of February. We've got the smash wall reserved for you guys like last time if you're interested in heading down. Details can be found at http://forum.ozhadou.net/index.php?topic=8137.0 and I assume it'll be the same rule sets / tournaments as last time (though if someone could confirm that'd be cool, believe it was singles / doubles Brawl + Melee). Discounts if you bring set-ups just see me on your way in, i'll be entering Melee anyway so i'll be around.

Any dramas shoot us a PM, hope to see you guys there!

I've edited the post, I got the wrong info it's on the 15th not the 22nd. It makes sense that Mascot should take priority as it was announced first / is a more Smash focused event but the space is there for casuals / tournaments / whatever for people who want to double down on meets. I've got the info for March YSB sorted so i'll be in touch with Cal / whoever else to see what we can do to create less overlap like this in the future and get things spaced better.

I'm really good at reading things. Sorry for the confusion

I would like to go but i dont know if i will be up for it considering it is my first weekend back in Aus and i will have to drive there and back on the same day since i am more interested in goiong to Cals tourney.

YSB is in the city and is probably(?) being TO'd by zxv. RoS2 is in mascot at the bowling alley and is only Melee and Project M

It might not be that bad to travel in one day actually. Yes you have to wake up early but my tournaments end early anyway. Worst case scenario, the tournament will end at 7pm since the venue closes. This should give you plenty of time to get back to Sydney at a reasonable hour and get a good night sleep in . Shaya seems to prefer travelling in one day. Others might prefer that also.

It's more that I don't feel like driving, especailly so far when I haven't been driving for over 2 months (and my lat driving experience gave me the biggest headache of my life). If someone else drives I would be more inclined to go. I guess I will see how I feel after a day or 2 back in Aus.

I think I'll be going to RoS2 over CC4. Having been to both regions recently, RoS had a bigger turnout and is closer.
