Because Project M isn't trash like the rest of them.Just curious but why is PM getting a lot more hype than all the previous brawl mods?
Puking right now. Melees dodge mechanic is what allows for wavedashing... meaning increased movementSo I saw a match of project M somewhere. I was disappointed that they used the melee air dodge mechanic; I much prefer brawl's. Other than that, no immediate quarrels, other than it doesn't look like my cup of tea. Don't think it'll be replacing brawl anytime soon.
I'm in. I'll be there for the sleepover as well.meet at my place: UNSW Village High St Randwick on sat 19th May, come any time.
We will likely leave for the casino at around 6:30-7pmish to have dinner and good times, after which we will return to my place for more smash and sleep.
Call me when you get here and i will come and get you.
well an earlier revision of project M had a hybrid dodge system in which if you hit a direction with the joy stick when performing an air dodge you would perform a melee style dodge (allowing wavedashing) but if no direction was held when doing the air dodge a brawl style airdodge would happening where your momentum is conserved during the dodge. however this didnt fit well in the melee environment they are trying to emulate so they removed the brawl aspect completelyPuking right now. A few questions:
- When's the earliest we can go?
- Since I know UNSW, do you still want me to call you so that you can take me there?
- My friend's 21st (which I'm definitely going to) is on that day from 7 to 10 or 11 approximately. So I'll leave for that when you go to the casino or earlier, and come back after it's ended. Is that okay?
Shaya i live on campus at UNSW where the meet is held, are you going to be joining in the gambling fun shaya?Hey Gords, I'd probably be up for popping in if the base of operations is in kensington or whatever.
Well I live 5 minutes walk from UNSW now so~Shaya i live on campus at UNSW where the meet is held, are you going to be joining in the gambling fun shaya?
Moved early March, top of coogee bay road, and no.fair enough shaya was just interested if you were joining us
also how long ago did you move and where and are you still with your mum?
Keen brawler goes to Gords' place at 7 am.any time,
yes still call since you cant get in unless i let you in but you can wait near the White House if you know where that is, otherwise at the bottom of the big stair case near the quad lawn
yes leaving then returning after the casino is ok, although i am not sure at what time we will get back from the casino.
I do now; that would explain it, lol. I guess it's understandable, but I still prefer brawl's mechanic. I never learned any ATs in Melee, even wavedashing, so that's probably why I never understood what's so good about it. I just generally don't like going into helpless after an airdodge.Do you even know what the M in Project M stands for?
I understand why it's necessary to put players in helpless after they airdodge in melee, considering they can move during it. However, it does mean that you're a lot more vulnerable in the air. The main problem this creates is that you can't airdodge off the edge because you'd just die (imagine if you couldn't airdodge while I keep pelting you with arrows until you died!). There are other places where this is a problem too, but they are less common.
I'll be going to Parramatta (same as you, right?), to Central, and then to UNSW. We should discuss on msn later.Martin, what time are you planning on going to gords' place? if you plan on driving any part of the way, a lift would be great. if not, id still like to meet up beforehand so we can go to uni together.
I lol'd.
