Hehe, I believe all of the BiWeekly goers (who give to the NorCal Fund) should have a say with what to do with the money. Maybe a vote or something.

I vote No for Ian's cube (we don't need anymore for the tourny). Get the capture card first, then save up money.
capture cards are a huge waste of money...about a month ago I bought a USB one at frys for $19.99 it works great, no lag what-so-ever the only downside is it comes with NO SOFTWARE!! I

I have a capture card. If people wnat matches recorded and put online I can start doing it, all you need is a VCR at the biweekly room to record the matches on (or even have multiple VCRs.) Then once I get a VCR hooked up in my room (which should be after I get back from thanksgiving break) I can record the matches onto my computer and put them on GooTube or GoogleVideo or someones website if they have fancy hosting capabilities.

Just a heads up incase people are interested in me doing this.

Yeah pre-ordering your stuff is nice haha. I just showed up, got my Wii, and left. We spent the whole day playing on that thing, playing Wii Sports and Red Steel, which are both pretty amazing games. The Wii is ****ing awesome haha. I might show it at the next biweekly. Meh.

I'll bring my capture USB... it needs a lap top/computer next to the TV to be hooked up 2...and a TV w/ AV out which I believe TV#1 has(the silver one) I'll find a program for it and I'll bring it on a CD or write down where it's download able.

Capture USB things are only 20$ @ Frys a good fundraiser can buy us like 10!

We definitely need to start getting matches recorded, I think Norcal is getting pretty strong; I'm not just talking top 10, I mean 25 and beyond. Having videos of peeps would help a lot of us improve our games. I'm talking as many as possible.

Anyone that can help out in doing so is rad...perhaps even super rad.

Kizzo or Mike, please PM me about what's going to take place for this biweekly. I think people feel a DRIFT coming on, but I'm not sure...

Yen just copy someone else's Smash data to a memory card you own.

I can put a good assortment of matches to be recorded on one TV, though two would be the ****. All winner's matches could be recorded.

Oops, I forgot I need sleep. Brb.

I wont be at this upcoming biweekly, but if someone wants to record (especially someone from deep norcal, that way they can bring it by sooner) on a vcr and then bring the tape by my house or give it to me next biweekly or something, then that I could put matches up.
EDIT: If sheridan or the other UCSC people are going to be there and are willing to stop by my house and drop it off, then you could just hand them the tape. If you do this it would be nice to have someone keep track of whos playing so I when I get them uploaded I can properly label. Or do it MLG style and have people put a tag on. Or neither, and I just upload them and then ask. Any of them are fine.

Or I could even just burn the software onto a CD and bring the capture card with me if someone is willing to have their laptop set up.

Oh, and you can buy splitters for AV cables from radio shack for like 4 bucks each (ouch :(). They say Audio splitter but they work for video too. Right now I have only one (so I can split the video to my TV from the VCR, so i can watch the videos on my TV with no sound and capture in sound at the same time.) or instead of splitters just hook up cables from AV out on VCR to input on TV. These are cheaper then splitters if you arent buying monster/other high-end cables.

But yeah, this will be... SuperRad!

I'm coming but I'm coming down from Novato, my hometown. Nobody knows where it is despite the fact that it's like 50,000 people. Mapqeust it.

So yeah I won't be able to give Deep Norcal peeps a ride there, nor can I pick up a VCR or whatnot from SC.

I saw a band from Novato live once (D.O.D.)

they were... interesting.

but yeah, all you would need to do is get tape(s) from people who bring VCRs to record matches and then sometime when you are back in SC drop it by my house or something. if you cant do it then people can still record and i can pick them up at the next biweekly.

I bought a gamebridge from the last wootoff a few days ago so maybe we can use that too.

Edit: Nevermind. The gamebridge lags almost as much as plugging in the game directly into a video capture card. It could be used as an external video capture card, though.

Haha, wow, you saw D.O.D.?

I know a couple of those guys, though I've never heard any of their music; they are just people that I've known for a while from hanging with Novato cool kidz.

I have the gamebridge from woot also. The quality is great for the $25. You can't play it on... just hook up a VCR to it and then record the matches that way.

Get ready for me, biweekly! The Afro is a-comin'! I think it's only right for me to return, new and improved, when we are doing the DRIFT or SBS or whatever we've named it. I'm still Norcal, even if I'm only there for about half a year now. But yeah . . . See you guys saturday! And WhiteBoyNick, make sure you practice. =P
