capture cards are a huge waste of money...about a month ago I bought a USB one at frys for $19.99 it works great, no lag what-so-ever the only downside is it comes with NO SOFTWARE!! IHehe, I believe all of the BiWeekly goers (who give to the NorCal Fund) should have a say with what to do with the money. Maybe a vote or something.
I vote No for Ian's cube (we don't need anymore for the tourny). Get the capture card first, then save up money.
oOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH that kind of capture card........I thought you ment the one where you hook the TV up to the computer ~_~;I have a capture card. If people wnat matches recorded and put online I can start doing it, all you need is a VCR at the biweekly room to record the matches on (or even have multiple VCRs.) Then once I get a VCR hooked up in my room (which should be after I get back from thanksgiving break) I can record the matches onto my computer and put them on GooTube or GoogleVideo or someones website if they have fancy hosting capabilities.
Just a heads up incase people are interested in me doing this.
so who has capture cards/VCRs that they will bring to the biweeklies? should we have a capture card/VCR fundraiser biweekly?
I saw a band from Novato live once (D.O.D.)I'm coming but I'm coming down from Novato, my hometown. Nobody knows where it is despite the fact that it's like 50,000 people. Mapqeust it.
So yeah I won't be able to give Deep Norcal peeps a ride there, nor can I pick up a VCR or whatnot from SC.
haha weirdHaha, wow, you saw D.O.D.?
I know a couple of those guys, though I've never heard any of their music; they are just people that I've known for a while from hanging with Novato cool kidz.
I have the gamebridge from woot also. The quality is great for the $25. You can't play it on... just hook up a VCR to it and then record the matches that way.I bought a gamebridge from the last wootoff a few days ago so maybe we can use that too.
Edit: Nevermind. The gamebridge lags almost as much as plugging in the game directly into a video capture card. It could be used as an external video capture card, though.
Yeah, but I was expecting there to be no lag while playing as they advertised, though.I have the gamebridge from woot also. The quality is great for the $25. You can't play it on... just hook up a VCR to it and then record the matches that way.
so afro justin is coming? man, it sucks that i can't make it. maybe next timeGet ready for me, biweekly! The Afro is a-comin'! I think it's only right for me to return, new and improved, when we are doing the DRIFT or SBS or whatever we've named it. I'm still Norcal, even if I'm only there for about half a year now. But yeah . . . See you guys saturday! And WhiteBoyNick, make sure you practice. =P
