Yeah seriously, everyone go to SPOC V for Melee and other PS2 fighters. They're real fun.

Also, Chibo just says he's confident about stuff for no real reason unless he gives a reason to back it up. He just really really hopes it gets better later.

it doesnt make sense though when strikers, which is on US servers, has no real noticeable lag. and for those of you saying its not a fighter, what about doa4? i play that online and the lag is NO where near as bad as brawl.

doa4 isn't a fighter. It's garbage.

I could see how you got confused though! hahahaha

doa4 is in no way garbage lol. its not a very good competitive game IMO, but i like the game a lot. the story is interesting, the graphics have always been awesome, the game was a pioneer in online play for fighters, and i enjoy the cast of characters.

besides smash its my favorite fighter especially from what it does to seperate itself from other games. it seems like most fighting games fall into a couple categories. there are fighters with characters with real martial arts type style that all sort of have a similar feel aesthetically (dont get me wrong tho, street fighter is cool), or the bunch of animated type fighters sort of like marvel vs capcom vs dbz vs anything. then the anime style like the countless amount of anime fighters, and guilty gear.

only a couple fighters really broke this mold, soul calibur and doa mainly. i really enjoyed soul calibur, but since they released sc3, i really couldnt get into it anymore.

i like a whole ton of fighters, but doa really sticks out for me (except smash but thats besides the point). some people really dislike the counter system, and while it may not work the best for competitive reasons, i like it for playing casually. it really gets ya thinking of how combos work and trying to predict certain moves to counter them and start your own. and the online modes are the best for any fighter. doa4s online is unlike any other online game with its presentation, and how they go about everything in genral.

and you do need a high level of precision as im pretty sure you only have 4 frames to perform a counter move. the fact that online really isnt bad just shows what smash and other games could be capable of.

FD has some of the most ridiculous amount of lag. Somewhere between the space travel, or the exploding nebula in the background, **** gets ridiculous. The sunset almost takes the lag away completely. -_-

Overall, Battlefield gives the least amount of lag for me (compared to FD). And thank god, because it's one of the few good levels.

Yoshi's Island and Smashville give minimal lag (also compared to FD -_-) but it's depends on the background. While the background changes seasons/time of day, the lag practically holds my stocks hostage.

And those levels have the least amount of moving elements on the stage themselves, I couldn't imagine what the rest of them are like. I'm just shocked (and pissed) that these backgrounds are affecting the lag as much as they are.

I honestly don't know what you all are on about... I haven't often had noticeable lag in 1v1 online matches, maybe 10% of opponents, more or less. Even west coasters for the most part, and I suspect one guy in England as well. And I'm not playing with anything special, just wireless cable. But I have played online a lot more than offline, so I could just be used to it I guess.

I do notice it when it's there, it makes havoc on Zelda's kicks.

now when ppl say they dont really see lag, do they just mean frames being dropped? cause i dont really get much of that. the huge problem is the input delay which iv always experienced.

are you sure its fd that has more lag or if its just coincidence with different opponents? i cant really see how a changing background can cause more data being sent online causing more lag. since it doesnt effect the gameplay, each system should be able to process the background on its own.

Good luck Mario
the huge problem is the input delay which iv always experienced.
I've had input delay against atomsk, ryoko, and rei. vs Atomsk it started in our second to last match and was like 1 1/2 second delay or something ridiculous like that. against ryoko, the frames skip a LOT. It took ~5 seconds between every two frames LOL. And Rei lives in MD, so I'm not that surprised if I get a bit of lag playing that distance. Everyone else I've played it feels the same as playing offline though most of the ppl I have played complain they get lag on their end.

I'm thinking Nintendo knows I'm amazing so they give all my lag to my opponent so as not to upset me

Sensei lags too much.

I don't think I'll play him again online.
