And all my disappointment gone with that?

Why couldn't it have made it on the show?

This E3 is confusing. :054:

Well, no matter, that's all I wanted to hear.

So, just pre-ordered both Luigi's Mansion 2 and Kingdom Hearts: DDD Mark of Mastery Edition. This is gonna be awesome.

I know, I'm stoked for KH:DDD, I preordered it with the MoM edition as well :D but I'm not sure what other upcoming game I'll preorder, I was thinking Luigi's Mansion.

Not gonna bother pre-ordering a game for a console that I don't even have yet. I'll just save my money for a laptop and vita right now.

That would be a good point of I didn't link to the 3DS version =P.

@sully
Yea I'm in the same boat. I'll probably preorder it around the time the dojo starts up and just go for sticker star and the like until that happens.

Well, the 3DS Smash isn't going to be the main experience of Smash. If you're gonna get the 3DS version, you also are getting the Wii U version.

I guess because the Wii U version is the console version?

Anyway, I don't see how he could say that, it's not like the 3DS version isn't going to be its own game

Well, think about it. The two games are going to have two different play styles. No doubt the home console will be a style similar to the smash we already know. So why not get the Wii U version?

The 3DS version is still a bit hazy on how it is going to be like, but it is going to be a different experience. However, the way I remember Sakurai describing some of his ideas between the two is that they go hand in hand with one another.

So, I believe that if you're going to get the 3DS version of Smash, you are only getting a part of the whole experience. The Wii U version will most likely be the version that can act as a stand alone perfectly fine.

So, it is true that you don't need to get both versions, but I would find it to be a better experience for 3DS users if they get both.

The 3DS version is going to be more than that. From what Sakurai said, he wants the 3DS version to be as engaging as the console version, and giving both games connectivity with one another. As an example, he wants to put in some kind of achievement system in the 3DS version, and possibly some kind of customization option for your character, that way you can theoretically transfer your character with their achievements/customizations to the Wii U version.

Because it might be a rip off. Pay same price for essentially the same game? It better be radically different or a discount for both.

Well, I know it's probably too late, but I do hope future Nintendo consoles do what Sony is trying to do. The concept of putting your game onto your Vita is pretty awesome.

Assuming All-Stars has that feature, well...not much to say on how convenient that would be.

I'll probably be getting them both anyway as well. But I think they will be different enough games, didn't Sakurai or someone say that the 3DS version will be more of a focus on single player while the Wii U version will be more of a focus on multiplayer? Plus I will be glad to play Smash when I'm not at home.

I'm just sure if it's a good idea in general. I hate having to miss out on some experience, because I refuse to buy a game for another system -cough- Kingdom Hearts -cough-.

The games should be different enough, and chances are, competitively it own't matter if you have a 3DS or not, but I just in general don't like that practice.

It can be assumed it will focus more on the single player, as the words they used goes along the lines of wanting the 3DS to be more of a personal experience, or something.

Yes- Black2 and White2 are going to be DS games (with extra features on DSi and 3DS models).

I've always imagine that if Nintendo does release a Pokémon 3DS game, it will be the ones that introduce the 6th generation in some form, whether it's a spinoff in the same manner as Pokémon Ranger or an actual main series 6th gen Pokémon title. Mind you, this isn't including download apps, like Pokédex 3D or that Pokémon Dream Radar.

To be honest, I really think that Pokemon is never going to make it past 5th Gen. If it was, it would have been done by now.

It usually takes anywhere between 3-4 years for a new gen to be released. Gen V has been out since 2011 (2010 in Japan). So I would predict - at the rate it's going - another 2 years or so.

Can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 3D. Only other game I have for the 3DS is Mario Kart.
I'm with you there. Granted, I also have OoT 3D, I have no need to play it anymore, so all I play is Mario Kart 7 and the occasional Ambassador Virtual Console games. Kingdom Hearts 3D and Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy are the two games that will make me focus on my 3DS once more.

Hell, it's amazing as it is.

I disagree:

1) Touch screen reliant games like that will eventually wear and tear the screen
2) The way you hold it, it has to be on a stand, making it feel far less mobile
3) if you have big hands, not covering the screen is a problem
