1st off, the Euro is worth more than the dollar. Things already have a habit of being more expensive in Europe than in the US because of such things.

2nd off, you are giving the game way too much credit. You are assuming that the game won't be produced in an abundance, and that people will actually feel inclined to purchase the game. (Some people don't feel the need to shell out money on a game that they have already played to death, even despite the fact that it is a more portable version, or some bonus content added. Plus add in the fact that the amount of 3DS owners who will actually think about getting this game is rather small.)

3rd off, the gaming markets in Europe and America are different from one another. Just because one game sells well in one region does not mean that it will sell well in another region. Much like how certain games are HUGE in Japan when compared to Euro and US territories.

Don't assume that a game will completely sell out quickly to the point that you will have to pre-order it to nab it. I can assure you that I can walk in and walk out of a GameStop with both Tales and MGS in my possession if I wanted to.

Nothing sells out where I live.

Could even buy Halo 2 during it's hype on it's release day back in the day

Yeah. GameStops are really good at keeping a good stock of new games.

The only times I pre-order a game is if I cannot wait for the game to come out. It adds a new layer of hype. It gets you even more excited for the game to the point that you count the days off.

Also, I will be getting the Circle Pad Pro on release date for the US, I will test it out and write a review for you people over at SWF. I will determine whether the attachment will be worth it or not, and how it fares, so that you can have a better idea of it, so stay tuned until next week folks.

Well the concern that most people have with the product is is it worth that extra stick? Will it make all the difference when playing games that support it such as RE: Revelations? Is it worth sacrificing some portability? Is it worth the $20? Will it change gaming on the 3DS console for future games? Does the 2nd stick feel natural to use?

Those are the questions I want to answer for people who have yet to purchase the device. You know, a testimony of how it is.

Glad I bought the Zelda 3DS because it's a collectors, I won't feel bad buying another 3DS for dual sticks. I had to have the Zelda 3DS so it's whatever.

You guys think that RE and MGS won't feel awkward without the circle pad pro?

I hope kid Icarus isn't the same way :(

From what I remember the only thing that Kid Icarus Uprising does with the Circle Pad Pro is allow for a left-handed control scheme.

I'm pretty sure it's not required.

If anything I believe the game will play similar to Metroid Prime Hunters. So I don't think it's a big deal anyway.

On a game like MGS and RE, however, I think the pad will find more use. I severely doubt it's a requirement to play those games but it's something that would definitely come in handy.

I hope they transition into it at some point. Because they'll always have to work around not having a second stick for those who don't own one and that can effect game play of games being made later on.

Don't want another Wiimotion+ with only two games utilizing it. With that said, I'm open to having both types of control schemes.

You don't need the Circle Pad Pro with RE. The controls work fine without it, and are perfectly fine.

For a game like MGS, I would imagine that it will be the more preferred control scheme. (If you mind aiming with ABXY such as myself, it is going to be a preferred choice. If you don't, you can live without it.)

As for Kid Icarus, I NEED the Circle Pad Pro. I'm a lefty, which is why I pre-ordered the device with RE. Just to have it in preparation, and to test it out for you people.

Pretty much the Circle Pad Pro is just going to be optional. As a result, I think a 3DS redesign WON'T feature a 2nd analog built in, if devs are going to continue making the pad an option and not a norm.

I wonder how long of a game it is?
I hope it's not short and has some replay value.

I've been racking up Play Coins for weeks now. I walk to work so I just turn on my 3DS before leaving and build up my Play Coins. I did use some on Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D but I still have a good amount. I have a little over 60 of them left.

Nice. I started saving up ever since I pre-ordered Feb 1. So now I have 41 coins.

EDIT: Also, in regards to the price drop of RE: Revelations, I heard that the pre-order bonus of the Revelations 3DS case is no longer available to anyone. Even to those who pre-ordered before price drop. Maybe Capcom will sell them separately to make some more money? Kind of a waste if they won't see the light of day anymore.

Best looking Zelda after Skyward Sword.

If they aren't gonna do 3D graphics like Skyward Sword ever again, they should stick with OoT 3D's direction. It had the perfect balance of colors to have a sense of realism without spamming bloom or using a lot of dull colors.

This is a 3DS thread, so go talk about anything here. You don't have to stay on topic with anything.

Eh? How did you manage to get RE early?

Ah, well, it comes out tomorrow, so I can't wait!

Plus I can finally play with the Circle Pad Pro and write that review I want to do! =D

After I take my shower, gonna head out to pick up RE and the Circle Pad Pro. Good thing the Circle Pad comes with a battery already. =D

EDIT: Got RE: Revelations and the Circle Pad Pro at around 11 am, yet I didn't get the chance to play it until an hour ago. Let me tell you, the game plays so much smoother. Key commands are assigned to the shoulder buttons, and the ability to move, aim, AND shoot at the same time is really useful.

Also, a fun fact about the game: if you look at the side of the game box, they misspelled Revelations as Revelaitons. XD

Just be sure to take a short or long break after every episode, especially if you're going to play it with 3D on all the time.

EDIT 2: O.K. I finally finished my Circle Pad Pro review, and it is up here. Read it to find out more about the device, and my personal opinions on it. Hopefully it'll give you a better idea on whether its a pass or a buy. Enjoy! =D

I got RE: R and the CPP yesterday. At first it felt weird, but once I switched to third-person mode it played great. It's definitely the best way to play the game.

Disclaimer: The game still works well without it.

Eh, I found myself using First Person view more. It keeps my aim more consistent.

Anyways, I would argue that the game works better with it, but without is still good. I give Capcom props for that one.

As for features I love about the game, it has to be the Missions, which act as a type of achievement to accomplish, but it rewards you with stuff that you can use in-game. Which is a huge deal, as you'll find yourself low on ammo frequently.

As for Raid mode, it is too much fun. Played it online with a random person, and had so much fun. Plus, the connection was pretty solid. It would lag every now and then, but the lag isn't anything major. Not only that, but weapons that you purchase via Playcoins seem to be slightly weaker than their in-game counterpart. (By in-game, I mean obtainable with the in-game currency and not by Playcoins,) which is a nice little balance, as it only needs 10 coins to purchase an item for the price of free.

Biggest beef: Do NOT move when waiting for a door or elevator to load the next area. It lags and the frame-rate drops considerable if you do so.

Great, looks like I'll have to save up another 20$ for when I get kid Icarus to get the circle pad. I really hope that it's not bulky at all or anything, those pictures make it look monstrous

And I got SM3DL yesterday and I gotta admit 4 worlds into the game already it's a pretty damn well made game, even if it's easy so far

Its not bulky. It may not fit inside your pockets like the 3DS may, but its not bulky. It fits comfortably in your hands. It may be odd to use at first, but give yourself 15-30 minutes and you'll get used to it.

Also, if you are left handed like myself, then definitely get the Circle Pad Pro for Kid Icarus. Right handed controls use the analog stick and L to move and fire, and the stylus to aim. Circle Pad Pro does the opposite. I am not sure if they included dual analog controls though. (Left stick to move, right to fire, etc.)
