The possibility of this game beign unironically better than the likes of Jump Force would be funny as hell. It's already hilarious this game has Rollback and yet multiple Major Fighting Games don't.

I wonder if some shows are gonna get major non-playable representation, but i can't think of any show that could warrant a stage but a character. So in the website, the game says over 20 new stages. We might get more stages than 20. At least 21.
The game shows, if you're not limiting yourself to animation.but i can't think of any show that could warrant a stage but not a character.
Oh yeah, a Double Dare stage seems like a no-brainer here, but Live Action Nick stuff is usually kept separate from Nicktoons, so i don't expect any LA stuff. The game shows, if you're not limiting yourself to animation.
In fairness, the recent kart racer and the mobile 2D fighter each had a live action character, not even just a stage. I think we could absolutely get stages for things like Double Dare or Legends of the Hidden Temple.Oh yeah, a Double Dare stage seems like a no-brainer here, but Live Action Nick stuff is usually kept separate from Nicktoons, so i don't expect any LA stuff.
Okay, why is Spongebob codenamed APPLE and not BURGER? Are we really gonna have a "Brave" leak in the future for this game.If you scroll down to the fighter portraits, you can mouse over them to see file names, which seem to use codenames.
SpongeBob: apple
Lincoln: rascal
Zim: alien
Powdered Toast Man: hero
Reptar: mascot
Leonardo: moon
Danny: plasma
Michalangelo: pizza
Lucy: goth
Helga: rival
Nigel: narrator
Patrick: star
Oblina: snake
Honestly kinda useless, but interesting.
Who lives in a pineAPPLE under the sea?Okay, why is Spongebob codenamed APPLE and not BURGER? Are we really gonna have a "Brave" leak in the future for this game.
EDIT: Leonard is probably named Moon because the 80's cartoon opening starts with a shot of the Moon, so it's pretty clever.
****, I feel like a moron now.Who lives in a pineAPPLE under the sea?
I think that Squidward is a safe bet, especially considering that we already have Sandy who is pretty much less popular than him in every way. Krabs could be pretty fun too, I'm not sure how Plankton would work considering how small he is (although they could just don't care about his size), but haviung a vilain representation would be super cool too.Seeing how Spongebob is the "Face" of Nickelodeon and their biggest franchise by a longshot I'm expecting the most representation from that franchise and really hoping for Squidward, Mr. Krabs and maybe Plankton.
Other than more Spongebob characters these are my Nicktoons "Top 5" (1 being the highest)
My Top 5 Most Wanted "Main" Characters
1. Rocko (Rocko's Modern Life)
2. CatDog (CatDog)
3. Ren & Stimpy (The Ren & Stimpy Show)
4. Dag & Norbert (Angry Beavers)
5 Jenny Wakeman/XJ-9 (My Life as a Teenage Robot)
Judging from the silhouette box art really happy ,But not too surprising "Ren & Stimpy" and "CatDog" made the cut, Especially the former because of it's impact.
Smash didn't care when they added Olimar.I'm not sure how Plankton would work considering how small he is
Fun fact: Minimoose was supposed to be a new sidekick introduced in the latter half of season 2. He had an intro episode written & recorded but then the show got canceled. They decided to push the Christmas episode as the last one.Btw I know it's been a long time since this was posted, but I wanted to clarify some things. The white eye lasers are probably Danny's ice beams from later in the series. And the toy moose is actually Mini-Moose, a character who only appeared in the Christmas special and the new movie.
I think it’s because he lives in a pineAPPLEOkay, why is Spongebob codenamed APPLE and not BURGER? Are we really gonna have a "Brave" leak in the future for this game.

I think the legs and the girl might be separate characters, anatomy just looks a bit oddPretty sure the mystery girl on the box art is supposed to be Dora from the movie.
April O' Niel is my second guess but it seems odd that she'd be on the box art and not any of the turtles

...No? Multiple Air Nomads used Gliders that looked exactly the same both in the original series and Korra.Y'know, it just occurred to me. Since Aang's glider is in the background of the avatar stage, does that mean it won't be part of his moveset? I wonder how he'll play like
If they have Plankton playable, he’d probably pilot a mech or vehicle of some kind. In Lights! Camera! Pants!, he drives a humanoid mech that is approximately the same size as the other characters, for example, although they‘d probably use a different mech/vehicle than that one. I can imagine that they’d still scale him up a little bit so that you can see his facial expressions more easily, though.I'm not sure how Plankton would work considering how small he is (although they could just don't care about his size), but haviung a vilain representation would be super cool too.
Dodie's a ***** and a horrible friend, yes, but other than that, and I say this from the perspective of a white male in his 20s, As Told By Ginger is unironically one of the best Nicktoons if only for the fact that no other show was really so careful and respectful with their portrayal of the pains of growing up, especially for girls - and that time is a really difficult and formidable time in a girl's life. I binged this series a couple years ago and I was highly impressed with the maturity and realism of the show. It was so different than everything else on the network at the time. It had it's funny moments, but it wasn't all about that. It tackles difficult topics - death, rejection, depression, separation, classism, love and relationships, toxic masculinity, heartbreak - and isn't ashamed to be unabashedly real with it. It gets sad from time to time - and I think that's really cool.Which is why I want Dodie from As Told By Ginger.

I wanted to keep my bias out of it (so it's not filled with Avatar characters, and I didn't skimp on ***** Fartman's characters, despite how ****ty of a person he is) and put everything I felt represent the Nickelodeon before my time, Nick as I grew up, and the Nick of today. My only stipulations were I had to feel like the character could reasonably fight.
Technically no. They're owned by Hasbro, the toy company, but their next new show is exclusively on Nickelodeon; outside of someone like a Slap City character they're about the only "Guest characters" I could expect. Maybe someone from the newest incarnations of Power Rangers or Star Trek, but eh, I digress. Is Transformers owned by Nickelodeon???
While this is confirmed to be the case, this also means Nick does actually care, multiple Ren and Stimpy characters, Catdog, Aaah Real Monsters, classic TMNT designs, they could have easily just made it 80% Spongebob and Loud Housesince it’s a Nick game & the roster seems to have been picked by them

Same for me, though it's probably been an extra year or two since I binged it. Little bit of a shame that it got made before a lot more of the world was accepting of LGBT+ folks. Courtney totally had a crush on Ginger and I recall reading that the writers wanted to do something with it, but couldn't. Oh well, Courtney remains a lesbian icon regardless!Dodie's a ***** and a horrible friend, yes, but other than that, and I say this from the perspective of a white male in his 20s, As Told By Ginger is unironically one of the best Nicktoons if only for the fact that no other show was really so careful and respectful with their portrayal of the pains of growing up, especially for girls - and that time is a really difficult and formidable time in a girl's life. I'm actually a guy haha, but I can relate to the plight of girls, considering my partner was AFAB and I understand their struggles.Oh, gurl, I know.
I knew it when it came out, and I know it even more now that I am rewatching it on Paramount +
Some Nick shows have been suggestion, but the third episode of As Told By Ginger involves older teens coming to rich girl, Courtney Gripling's, house- specifically to pull off her bikini- which she stuffs- to embarrass her.
Danny Phantom had a plot for like, the last ten or so episodes of the series, and Teenage Robot had recurring elements that made it possible to watch them in order and not contradict itself, but eh... not really.Since I know very little of Nickelodeon are there any shows with actual plots, something like Avatar for example, which is one of the like 6-ish nickelodeon shows i've watched.
In a way, with the TV movies, character development, and the best intro song on the network, it's kind of like Nick's version of Daria.Dodie's a ***** and a horrible friend, yes, but other than that, and I say this from the perspective of a white male in his 20s, As Told By Ginger is unironically one of the best Nicktoons if only for the fact that no other show was really so careful and respectful with their portrayal of the pains of growing up, especially for girls - and that time is a really difficult and formidable time in a girl's life. i'll probably watch danny phantom then, I also want to watch fairly oddparents cause of nostalgia, im just worried it won't live up to it, almost nothing lives up to our nostalgia.Danny Phantom had a plot for like, the last ten or so episodes of the series, and Teenage Robot had recurring elements that made it possible to watch them in order and not contradict itself, but eh... not really.
I frankly don't like either attitude. The AAA haters are too focused on EA, Activision, and Ubisoft, while failing to acknowledge that most other AAA developers are continually putting out incredible games. Meanwhile, the hipster heroes in the indie realm are also putting out incredible games (if you specifically like 2D platformers, roguelikes, and horror games), alongside a deluge of absolute **** that goes untalked about.I see people going about the budget, and people have to remember one thing.
Low Budget =/= Low Quality product.
Do people really think that most EA games are better because they high budgets? (that are pointlessly used on redundant advertising, and having some random celebrity as a voice actor) If anything the AAA Industry (particularily the Western one) is seen as a joke by a huge margin of the hardcore gaming community and is gaining skepticism in general gaming circles.
It's been a decade since the release of Cave Story, a game that showed that you don't need big publishers and high budgets to make a good product, and the indie industry at large puts this notion to shame, which is why Nick contracting a talented Indie studio is a good sign.
Then again Smash Bros. featured Ness, Lucas, the Inklings, and Toon Link who are all kids, plus Smash Bros. has a baby on its roster with Pichu.I find it strange that people say Rugrats can't be in because hitting babies is bad even though Tommy was a fighter back in Super Brawl Universe on mobile, but are fine with Lincoln and Lucy as well Helga who are underage kids getting beaten up.
(Probably some dumb theory I don't know)
Does Kirby count, he's said to be a young boy and as a baby in the Right Back at Ya anime? Then again Smash Bros. featured Ness, Lucas, the Inklings, and Toon Link who are all kids, plus Smash Bros. has a baby on its roster with Pichu.
