Nice, I’ll take a look at these later tonight when I get out of work and share some of my own.Sure thing! Here are a few that I made:

Man, this sure could be avoided if the staff recognized that it really is that important for the next smash speculation to have such a subforum for dedicated discussion and fan creations for certain characters because a simple general discussion would then become a flooded mess given the amount of popularity for certain dolls or bandicoots or whoever else am i right or am i right hahahahahaI was wondering, since character support threads aren’t a thing at the moment, would this thread be a good place to share some basic movesets and ideas for our favorite characters?
there's only like three posts here a day do you want to splinter it further.Man, this sure could be avoided if the staff recognized that it really is that important for the next smash speculation to have such a subforum for dedicated discussion and fan creations for certain characters because a simple general discussion would then become a flooded mess given the amount of popularity for certain dolls or bandicoots or whoever else am i right or am i right hahahahaha
But for now, this is pretty much the definitive spot. I might dabble in certain movesets at some points if I feel like it.
For now, this place is considered dead. At some point, it won't be, and no one will be ready. I like to be ready than to not be. I'm not suggesting we splinter off into everything, I'm just suggesting that certain topics (i.e. movesets) can be segmented into their own little space as we bide time. Topics such as that are just as broad as speculating characters in itself, imo.there's only like three posts here a day do you want to splinter it further.
I say we cross that bridge when we get there. When things start picking up in a few years, we can start opening up some more sub-threads, but until then I say we keep everything here. For now, this place is considered dead. Does anyone remember that one moveset thread from back in the day where they were making it into contests?

Well, I've recently become obsessed with Poppy Playtime (which is weird because I'm not much of a horror fan), and have toyed with the idea of Huggy Wuggy in Smash. Granted, it's JUST an idea, as I can't make a moveset to save a life, but hey: it's something.I was wondering, since character support threads aren’t a thing at the moment, would this thread be a good place to share some basic movesets and ideas for our favorite characters? I came up with a few that I’m pretty happy with that I’d love to share at some point if anyone is interested. I figured it might be a good way to try to start building some support or at the very least show people the potential of some characters that don’t get much discussion otherwise.
No offense, but this is one of those characters where when somebody mentions them, it makes me think of how absolutely pissed the majority of the community would rightfully be if they actually got in before, like, at minimum 30 other characters.Well, I've recently become obsessed with Poppy Playtime (which is weird because I'm not much of a horror fan), and have toyed with the idea of Huggy Wuggy in Smash. Bruh all they said is that is that they think it'd be cool.No offense, but this is one of those characters where when somebody mentions them, it makes me think of how absolutely pissed the majority of the community would rightfully be if they actually got in before, like, at minimum 30 other characters.
You can want who you want, but if anyone around this level got in before Dante or Chief, I would salute those going into an absolute meltdown because at that point it's inexcusable.
People were as hostile as this over Freddy Fazbear back when FNAF was still a relatively recent creation.Bruh all they said is that is that they think it'd be cool.
No need to go on the attack there.

For what it's worth, I've seen what his opinions on certain things are, so I'm not surprised by the response. Besides, like I said, it's just an idea. Not much I can do with it besides share it around and hope I don't get lynched.People were as hostile as this over Freddy Fazbear back when FNAF was still a relatively recent creation.
Maybe Indie Horror just isn't hip and cool for the geno fans and their 90s games.
Yes, because the character threads serve a real purpose beyond what we do here.there's only like three posts here a day do you want to splinter it further.
Right...when it's too late to affect anything.I say we cross that bridge when we get there. When things start picking up in a few years, we can start opening up some more sub-threads
I think I said 'Hmm, I think people would be angry if this popular fad character got in before a heaping list of requests since the dawn of Smash, and I would completely understand it too.'For what it's worth, I've seen what his opinions on certain things are, so I'm not surprised by the response. I'm teasing you bro, take it easy. That's why is there. You're here long enough to know is the /s button. Will Will Just to clarify, until my PC blew up I was actually playing Let It Die and some legacy N64 games I never played before while finally getting into the Legend of Zelda series for the first time. If I cared about playing 90s games solely, SNES online does a good job of that for the most part, and I only touch it occasionally when extremely bored. This is what happens when you believe in your own (or someone else's) assumption of someone without getting to know them: you end up being mostly wrong, sarcasm or not.
I also know that people use /s to get away with actual crap.I'm teasing you bro, take it easy. That's why is there. You're here long enough to know is the /s button.
You're out here fighting for your life when no one was fighting you in the first place.
Well neither does prefacing your post with "no offense" and then immediately bringing out every offense to call someone's idea an outrage that you would willingly support in outraging against. People just want you to respect (and/or respectfully disagree) the idea is all. Surely that can't be difficult.I also know that people use /s to get away with actual crap.
I have reasons for being defensive, but I wasn't upset or anything, merely clarifying that I don't fill said role.
I can't relate. I still like Melee and all its jank. To call it "awful" is a little extreme unless you despise it that much.Though while on the topic, I will say that going back and playing games you grew up on is a mixed bag: a lot of games you loved turn out to be actually awful in some ways or just outright bad (Spyro 3, DK 64, Melee) while some actually stand the test of time or even outshine modern games (Gen 3 Pokemon, SMRPG, DKC, and many others).
Keep in mind, there's a difference between "this was always bad, and I was too young to know any better" and "this was good at the time, but better stuff came out since".I will say that going back and playing games you grew up on is a mixed bag: a lot of games you loved turn out to be actually awful in some ways or just outright bad (Spyro 3, DK 64, Melee) while some actually stand the test of time or even outshine modern games (Gen 3 Pokemon, SMRPG, DKC, and many others).
Melee really is awful in retrospect, at least in my eyes. I used to prefer it over Brawl, but I'm not sure if I can anymore. I had an eye-opening moment on how broken the game is and that all the hype for Melee stems around the abuse of that brokenness and not the actual game or what it was meant to be. Brawl just lives up to its design intentions and is a better built game in so many ways, it's incredible.Well neither does prefacing your post with "no offense" and then immediately bringing out every offense to call someone's idea an outrage that you would willingly support in outraging against. I wish Sony just pried them from Universal Interactive's grubby cow milking hands before they moved on to the PS2.I've said this before, but I wish Traveller's Tales was free from the LEGO mines and owned Crash and Spyro just so they could be under better circumstances.
Hard disagree. My dude, Spyro 3 was far from outright bad and is still replaya-ble to now. Melee, while gameplay can be unbearable, still holds up, has peak single player modes and gives you a sense of a classic game. DK64 has its own dilemma. The games maybe starting to show signs of struggle, to say that "Outright bad" is like having lack of chill pills. A game can still eventually serve as a quirky call back.I also know that people use /s to get away with actual crap.

Okay, here me out: MissingNo. becomes Pokemon #1000. Also, when you first discover it, it displays as #000 because the Pokedex can only do triple digits.Would MissingNo. be regarded as never ever in smash?
I think his addition would be crazy to have
Well, I do have two concepts, but one of them is from a long-dead 3rd-party series, and the other one is a real person, so neither are likely to happen at all. Nonetheless, here they are: Beat, from the Jet Set Radio series, and Neil Cicierega, internet icon.I was wondering, since character support threads aren’t a thing at the moment, would this thread be a good place to share some basic movesets and ideas for our favorite characters? Tiger Heli was great..Keep in mind, there's a difference between "this was always bad, and I was too young to know any better" and "this was good at the time, but better stuff came out since".
Does Sora have any major bugs concerning him? They must be so major that they’ll affect replays. Idk.
Could just be balance changes and they don't want Sora to be the next Bayo or something. I don't know, I haven't really been watching competitive Ultimate lately so I have no clue how well Sora is doing compared to someone far worse (as in high tier) like Pyra or something.Does Sora have any major bugs concerning him? A single mechanic to me is not enough to trump...Hard disagree. My dude, Spyro 3 was far from outright bad and is still replaya-ble to now. I agree that Brawl is better built than Melee, but tripping makes Brawl difficult to revisit. This will always give Melee the edge over it.
pretty bad almost no villain besides Kazuyahttps://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/r48k0d
Stolen from reddit but here's a thought experiment:
How would ya'll feel if there's a Smash game that only allows one character per franchise? To go even further any newcomers to the game can only come from new franchises and would be the ONLY rep of that franchise.
Thoughts?
Honestly, not good. Different installments in franchises can have something unique to offer, and you miss on that by having only one representative of that franchisehttps://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/r48k0d

Mii has to be an all new character then, but otherwise, hell no with the DK/Yoshi/Wario thing. They are officially different franchises.https://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/r48k0d

Hey, that's doesn't sound like a bad idea.also, WHICH Mii is being used? Swordfighter? Brawler? Gunner? …a weird combination of all three?
Goku and ****ing Mickey Mouse? Yeah, No!Yeah I’m not a fan of it either but I think it would be more likely for Goku and Mickey to get in smash before they would only do one per franchise
SEGA has recently officially acknowledged Shade and Sonic Chronicles.
