I'm sure it'd be something they'd mention should they add him, but I highly doubt they'd want a character to promote a spin-off of a B-C list series. Unless they tease the next game somehow within this game, Bandana Waddle Dee still has no chance.

I'm thinking shadowdrop, but yeah, sequel to a spinoff based on a minigame was not what I would have expected after the consecutive reveals of a Wii U port, anniversary collection, and spinoff prequel.
