Bomberman - Most people have their personal gaming mascot from their childhood to reference. Bomberman was one of those characters for me. Bomberman 64 was such a weirdly good time and a lot of my creative inspiration draws from it. Blow up your friends, explore weird worlds, and battle cool monsters. Bomberman wasn't the first to do any of this, but it was the first I've seen. Let's go nostalgia!
Hat Kid - This is never gonna happen, but A Hat in Time is one of those indie games that found a way to successfully appeal to my platformer nostalgia. Gameplay is fluid, dialogue is funny, the worlds are interesting, and the soundtrack is phenomenal. It's just a joy to watch and play. Wish it continued to support itself.
Geno -
Siiiiiiiiiigh. I don't wanna say I'm a Geno fan, but I do think Geno would be probably one of the cooler characters to see in Ultimate. Conceptually, I like the idea of a robot wooden toy with laser beams. Design wise, he looks cool. The blue and brown work well and it was the inspiration for an OC back in middle school. TerminalMontage supports him, and he's a guy I followed back in the day for his
funny ass comic Side Quests. It's a lot of small circumstantial stuff that would make Geno cool for me. I didn't even really enjoy Super Mario RPG outside of music, so take that how you will.
