My top 3 would be:
1. Rayman: He is an iconic character from the 90's, and aesthetically fits in Smash perfectly. Nintendo and Ubisoft seem to have a good relationship, so it sucks he was relegated to a spirit in Ultimate, after being relegated to a trophy in Smash 4.
Origins and Legends are masterpieces and you should try them out, if you haven't.
2. Neku: When TWEWY first came out, I hated Neku; but that's the point. You see him grow from this emo loner, to a character that actually respects others. Besides he has so much potential for a moveset, and he would also bring in some amazing music.
3. KOS-MOS/Estelle/Yuri: I had a hard time picking between these 3, as I think they all have their own merits. KOS-MOS has a really cool design, brings in some amazing music, a ton of moveset potential, and we could use some more Xeno reps.
Estelle from Trails in the Sky, just has a likeable personality. Like KOS-MOS, she would bring a pretty unique moveset, especially because she wields a staff and can use magic. Trails also brings in some great music. Falcom is one of the oldest Japanese game companies out there, and they definitely have left a mark on the industry despite not being all that well known.
Yuri Lowell would be my choice for a Tales pick; throw your generic anime swordsman insults at me. I just find that his personality is rare for JRPG protagonists, being more laid-back and antihero-esque without becoming too edgy. They could also make him combo-based to differentiate him from other swordfighters. Give him some overlimits, burst artes, and a mystic arte as his final smash and you have a unique fighter.
