So a friend on Discord sent me this. It's an image that predicted Steve and Sephiroth. It also shows BOTW 2 Zelda, Crash and Dante.

Personally, I think this is a lucky guess. I'm not sure what the history is on this account but I do think Steve, Crash and Dante are safe bets. What do you all think?

Crash is easily the most expected character, Dante's also become a frontrunner forna while and Steve was often considered going either way from what I can tell

No. You see, he's able to slow down subatomic particles. Taking some creative liberties, he's also able to reverse them, meaning he can go back in time. This allows him to appear in front of the creators of Final Fantasy VII, thus influencing Sephiroth.

Personality wise, he is much more influenced by Cloud, hell, his VA in japanese is Cloud VA!

Though granted Jin is a bit TOO on the nose. Sephiroth is pretty much the peak of the Edgy White Haired villain in terms of popularity. That said, I do think there are still some popular characters that may have influenced Sephiroth's design (such as Griffith from Berserk), but there are no confirmed influences.

That's not fair. Not only is Jin designed by Nomura, you know, the same guy who designed Sephiroth, but the two characters are actually somewhat distantly related.

I'm confused as to your point, in what way is Sephiroth not influential? Sephiroth is practically the cornerstone of JRPG villains, the crowning jewel that others have used as a model in their own games.

And One Winged Angel is so recognizable, as soon as it played in Sephiroth's trailer they immediately knew who was getting revealed.

I think safe bets are unilikely. But given how much nonsense it would be to get yet another Zelda, it will probably happen, and it will be pass 6.

It's one thing to have an opinion but acting like Sephiroth isn't incredibly important to video games, writing in video games especially, or as though he's not the gold standard for JRPG villains is pretty much just burying one's head in the sand and singing really loudly.

If they played Dancing Mad in the reveal trailer instead of One Winged Angel, only like 10% of people max would get its Kefka when the music started going instead of almost everybody. Kefka aint Sephiroths equal; theres a reason why Square Enix left Kefka in the dustbin of history and go back to Sephiroth and the FFVII cast everytime.

It kind of looks like the team is slightly tweaking and polishing these fighters right up to the last minute before release, honestly.

I don't think it's even close to being done. Keep in mind they will release 3 fighters over a year. I do think the release dates will be April, August, and December as others have been predicting. Not to mention they haven't even released Sephiroth yet.

Hey everyone. This happened to me. In fact, I was warned by a moderator that it was specifically trolling because

I'm just going to repost this. I've been messaged by several moderators claiming that citing, by direct quotation, what was said to me, about the Geno community, is considered against the rules. And in fact, told that supporting a Mii costume for a character is not a support, and then had several posts removed. Which I expect this one will be (though I did mistake that the previous I am quoting was removed). I resigned from my role as a writer on this board (and then after removing that post, was told I had been removed due to differences), before ultimately making this post.

In conclusion, friends, I expect after 7 years here, I will be leaving, or kicked out, due to the definition of authoritarianism by which this community is run. While the rules I have broken have been rules that are unstated (such as the definition of what is a community, which apparently includes supporters of Geno- though no other character, wherein the exact same sentiment has been expressed) I urge you to be careful.

I'll also say, I always supported Geno. Once again. He is a perfect Mii Costume, and I hope he makes it in as such, because I don't degrade the value of that position.

If any of the friends I've had on this board have followed this injustice, and see it differently, please feel free to PM me and help me understand- as the moderating staff has considered my calling them out for falsehoods, and making them public, to be against forum rules (which, perhaps they should be, but they currently aren't).

How Done do you think FP9 is?

If I had to guess, I'd say they are starting to do balancing work about now. Most characters seem to be modelled and animated 3-ish moths before release (based on when directs have been filmed), but not necessarily fair yet, so that's my guess.
