I honestly don't think I **** on the Geno thread.
But yes- he is treated with godly reverence as an icon, which makes it, by definition, a cult. Apparently, this shouldn't be said- and while I'll agree it is controversial, has been the actual happenings, of users and the moderators.

But I don't make light of this. I fully expect to be banned on a site I've been on for 7 years, simply for stating what happened, and the injustice behind it.


Yet it's fine to spam, talk about other games, or be sexual--- which are actually against the rules.

(I will note, this is my primary thread. Though I loved the group from BluePikmin about leaks for Sm4sh when I found this site).

I actively admit I'm blunt- but I don't think I wage war.
I also expect this site to ban me for citing exactly what happened to me, so my time is limited.

I understand it's a rough time. It's not just 2020, but I've been hospitalized for a week. I think we lot come here during hardships, frequently. It's actively painful to say I'm leaving this site, as despite my directness, I care about this community.

That is possible. Psaro is apparently the most popular Dragon Quest villain. Heck, in the Dragon Quest Heroes game, I think he was the only playable villain.

He was, but that could be attributed to the fact that he's also a post-game party member in the remake. Definitely one of the most popular villains in the series, but I'm not fully confident he beats out Zoma.

The only reason why I think Lloyd Mii costume could return with Sephiroth is that the other 2 Bandai Namco mii costumes have come back with the last 2 fighters, so following that Lloyd would be the next logical step (not to mention Sephiroth happens to be a JRPG character like Lloyd so....)
I also lost faith in any Bandai Namco character appearing as dlc anyways (as much as I want KOS-MOS, I feel Rex and Pyra/Mythra should really get their spot on one of the next 3 dlc characters)

I don't see that as this current conversation- and I think I'm decent at admitting when I'm wrong.

dont get me wrong Sephiroth (in FF7) is awesome but he is far too new to be in even a top ten list of the most Influencial Villans in Videogames

but he is one of the most Known Badguys

Bolded characters are less popular than Sephiroth, being generous in the Not-Sephorith's favor

I acknowledge how this is a shallow thought, but I really hope we get one more character that's not a serious swordsman by the end of this pass. I swear, every swordsman (I think besides Meta Knight) just has that same "I'm very serious about slicing" look on their face.

Gimmie a goofy swordsman with a big ol' smile on their face!

I don't want to repeat myself too much but besides Lloyd, there's also Dante which is really goofy. More than having a big smile all the time, he's more about mocking and taunting his enemies.

I personally don't consider him a swordfighter, though.

Personally, I think this is a lucky guess. I'm not sure what the history is on this account but I do think Zelda, Steve, Crash and Dante are safe bets. What do you all think?

This is not a leak, just a fan-art and sort of a prediction, if you want. This guy is an artist and well, I guess he just chose his most wanted characters.

If they played Dancing Mad in the reveal trailer instead of One Winged Angel, only like 10% of people max would get its Kefka when the music started going instead of almost everybody. Kefka aint Sephiroths equal; theres a reason why Square Enix left Kefka in the dustbin of history and go back to Sephiroth and the FFVII cast everytime.

edit and this is coming from someone who takes FFVI over VII all day everyday

Sephiroth is definitely more iconic and well-known than Kefka, but Kefka is also relatively well known, I'd say.

And it's not like SE left Kefka, it's more like SE has just left all FF entries behind besides VII (because of the remake), XIV and the newest one at the moment, XVI in this case. Not like I will criticize them a lot for this. I mean, it's a massive series with 15 main entries where some of these have multiple prequels/sequels, plus the 200 spin-offs the series has. So giving love to each game isn't really easy, and in the end, they're a company. If they don't see as profitable to keep talking or marketing old entries, they won't do it.

Which is a shame because sometimes I don't get why they haven't ported or remastered FFI-VI. It's ironic, because those games were Nintendo only games back then, while the entries we currently have on the Switch (VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2 and XII) were Playstation exclusive games at their time lmao

Back at Kefka/Sephiroth, both are great villains, though I have always preferred Kefka. I just think he's a better villain. Plus (FFVI & FFVII spoilers)

Kefka actually achieving his objective gives him a point in my opinion

Dancing Mad > One Winged Angel btw. Don't get me wrong One Winged Angel is fantastic and definitely a more iconic song, but Dancing Mad is still a terrific song, and still a decently iconic boss theme in JRPG history.
What Uematsu achieved with the SNES sound capabilities is ****ing NUTS. Almost 18 minutes of glorious madness:

I love the PSX & PS2 FF games, but the previous entries, especially IV, V and VI, deserve more love.

I think that is a super lucky guess, since there's no guarantee that Dante, Zelda, Crash would make it in and it won't be surprising if the remaining characters are characters people barely talk about.

pupNapoleon I really just think there needs to be some communication between this thread and the Geno thread. Both have some misconceptions about one another which are only reinforced by members of the respective threads. I swear if members from both threads were to come out and discuss their grievances, a common ground could be found, but that will never happen.

While I'm not trying to present myself as the Geno thread's white knight, I've been active there throughout Ultimate's speculation cycle. I've seen the good, the bad, the ugly, and the very ugly. I really think a lot of the problems most people have with the Geno thread are things that happen rather infrequently. 90% of the posts there are simply discussing Geno, SMRPG, Mario RPGs in general, or the Mario series, which is pretty harmless in my book.

However, members over there also have to realize that this thread isn't full of rude, crude buzzkills. The mentality for some users has gone to the point where they're acting like getting Geno in is the equivalent of being in a war. Everyone is a comrade, and this thread are some of the big enemies, along with Gamefaqs and 4chan. It is pretty creepy that Gamefaqs is obsessed with the Geno thread to the point where they make scripts of the thread to see who posts the most.

Tl;dr: Talking it out could work things out, it'll just never happen.

I dont think you've done anything wrong. I've had a few minor sour interactions on here, and it's an easy guess where it happened. I can be an ass and once in a blue moon I revel in it, which isnt my best moments but I sure do stand for honest debate and freedom of speech. Love me some decent debate. Learning when and which words to use is still my biggest lesson, but we are just two individuals speaking their mind. I've seen you quite a bit since lurking all year long, and in my recent time of posting, I believe I usually agree with what you put down. I was supposed to be a writer here as well but I went incognito last year.

When it comes to lucky guesses, be it clearly such or a leak that probably is, and thus is bogus... I think's it helpful to isolate whatever the lucky-guessing prediction is, from the concept of things playing out as said prediction describes, and evaluating how plausible you find it to be in a vacuum. And, if you're feeling it, latch onto it, why not? Worst case scenario is that you're wrong, the video game ends up looking a bit different (and probably still very good!) and life goes on.

This is pretty funny considering there was a point you gave me a lot of **** for saying Terry was repping SNK as a whole while you insisted he was there due to Fatal Fury.

At least, as far as Smash is concerned. But in practice, all of SNKs fighting franchises are just 2 franchises now. And the Fatal Fury team is at least one of the "main" teams in KoF.

But He is not in the Top 10 of influence maybe in Poupularity/Quality he is
