I wasn't saying that Min Min sucks. I was saying that she's not a good character to turn into a mascot.

One other thing that I think is relevant is that Killer Instinct's developers actively made Fulgore easier to play in later seasons even though they already had a beginner character in Jago because Fulgore was the game's mascot, and therefore most people's introduction to the game.

EDIT: And I don't think this is something that can be done with an ARMS character because to try and make one of them easier to understand would probably be to remove the mechanics that make them themselves.

Guess TGAs are current mood for today as we're a month away til Geoff Keighley unveils some ****. Considering 6 games are eligible for GOTY, what games do most of you guys think will be nominated?

Ima say the nominees are AC: Valhalla, DOOM Eternal, FF7 Remake, Hades, Half Life: Alyx, and TLoU pt. 2, and all those games will lose to the true Game of the Year Deadly Premonition 2.

My predictions are AC: New Horizons, FF7 Remake, Last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and I don't know about the last one. I thought it was gonna be Cyberpunk (I imagine the jury thought so too), but now that's out of the running so I'm not sure what it could be. Might be Doom, might be Half-Life, might be this year's token indie.

I'm pretty sure this just means no balance changes but i'm pretty sure they did not put this out for the 9.0.1 which had no balancing either...

i think the Samus glitch with Steve wasnt the only game breaking one and they wanna get rid of all the game breaking ones

First of all isn't it weird that Sakurai 'specifically' stated that the character is picked because of Yabuki's influence, I mean isn't it pretty odd considering it's the only DLC character specifically influenced by the devs let alone their favorite? It's either Sakurai wanting an ARMS rep to be not just "punch this punch that" which is basically Springman or is it because Springman is an Assist Trophy, what are the odds that Sakurai pass off Springman in favor of Min Min and Ninjara so that it will have character variety, if only Springman isn't an AT I'm 100% sure that he will not consider Min Min and Ninjara first since he is THE one that is in the boxart. I mean it's not like if Sakurai gets a series he immediately think "Oh, so which one of these character (preferably fighting game) that is the dev's favorite?"

Shadow Is Really My Only "MOST WANTED" Character (every other Must have Character I have is pretty much not happening: Goku, Vergil, and Noob), So While I feel bad for the Yakuza Fans, Kiryu being Kind of Deconfirmed is all going according to Plan

I would think Dante, Scorpion, Sora, and Sephiroth would be Really Cool, Even if I don't want them as Much as Shadow. Sora Is Not Happening I don't think, but I think Dante, Scorpion, and Sephiroth have chances, but I think Dante might end up being a Mii in the end.

Do you think Nintendo would choose to take him? This isn't a cynical rhetorical question, try to convince me, because I believe he's been off the table since that reveal. You can use Min-Min as an example, but that doesn't quite convince me Nintendo sees reason in promoting XC2. Though then again, promoting ARMS after Nintendo neglected its existence is pretty funny.

It’s not why Nintendo would choose just Rex Or xc2 it’s why Nintendo would go for adding another xenoblade rep instead of someone from Mario or Pokémon,
For a 2nd xenoblade character I believe imo it’s purpose would be to give the series more exposure To people outside(maybe inside) of japan like arms where right now is doing tourneys, and half the reason why I think byleth got in, it’s not sales nor was it sakurais wording It’s just how I think they would choose xb and not someone from Mario like geno who’s gonna be anyway Or a gen 8 who has gotten a spirit event just after the pass was finalized that should have been saved for a spirit board(oh yeah and should have made zactain and zamazara a support spirit with a brand new skill instead of a primary spirit if it were saved for a spirit board)

Ah, bug fixes ahoy! There are quite a few candidates for that:

* The Zoroark / Hammer freeze glitch (in the linked video). Which crashes the game. Yeah, that one's likely going to be targeted.

* Floating K. Rool (in the linked video above). Apparently also works with Bowser (see link below).

*Other glitches like Anvil getting stuck on a platform.

Dunno if these are getting patched out yet, but worth mentioning:

* Anvil Grab (I don't believe that's the intended use, so might be targeted.):

* Up-Bs not consistently reaching the top platform on Yoshi's Island. Samus / Dark Samus can no longer reach that platform by Up-Bing alone since it's raised a little, and characters like Cloud have trouble doing so too nowadays.

* Zelda's / Duck Hunt's Down B displacement (in the first linked video). This has been in Ultimate since release, but: In 9.0.1 it apparently became easier for Zelda and Duck Hunt to jump backwards and "hide" behind Phantom / Gunman while using the move.

* The dirty Skewer / Sing Doubles combo:

Similar to K. Rool's Bury Down Throw -> Skewer -> Rool's Down Throw -> Skewer -> Rinse, Repeat griefing tactic which was the reason Sakurai and co. altered Skewer a few patches back so people can't get grabbed right before / after Skewer. Don't think it stopped this one though.

Sakurai wanted to know who the protagonist was, since it's always the main character and/or the mascot of the series who comes first. However, Yabuki clarified that everyone was the protagonist, which meant Sakurai could choose anyone. Then Yabuki singled out Min Min as his favorite.
The exchange probably went something along the lines of this:

Fore example, when Schnee117 had a picture of...I'm pretty sure it was Sombra, I perceived her as this cool no nonsense action hero type chick. Now it's something more nebulous, and I was a little sad to see it go (not that the current one is bad though).

It's why changing your avatar can screw with me to the point of making me forget who you are. Honestly, I think Rie Sonomura is the only one to have changed their avatar without me perceiving them differently.

Knowing this, I should probably resprite my avatar (and I'm not just talking about the Byleth costume I slapped on him for funsies). He looks quite bored, and it probably makes me sound more rude than I intend sometimes.

I love all the ARMS fighters but yeah Spring Man just works better as an ARMS mascot from a fundamental design level. But I find this mascot war between Min Min and Spring Man to be silly. ARMS showcased Spring Man and Ribbon Girl, two fighters front and center. Why can't Spring Man and Min Min BOTH be the mascots?

I think the two compliment each other better than Spring Man and Ribbon Girl do. Spring Man is a fun loving goofball and Min Min is a serious down-to-earth martial artist. Both showcase the two aspects of the ARMS series. The bouncy fun side and the competetive side.

For me, a new company is one of the most fun aspects of the game. Something about the giants of the industry coming together really means a lot to me, considering gaming is how I learned how to interact with people (not just video games, but that especially).

For me, I think Ubisoft and Activision are the two companies I would most like to see (not due to characters themselves, but just as a series. Though of course, I want both Spyro and Crash, as well as Rayman and even Ezio).

It was probably odd seeing me shift from dead-inside Mokou to smiling Akyuu, especially without the context of me compiling my Touhou Smash DLC/encyclopedia project. Or the shift from goofy Dedede to broken Mokou, for that matter.

Though, I think Klonoa's my favorite avatar so far. He just clicks for me.

Doesn't mean you can't stop wanting them. Daily reminder that you don't just need to convince those stupid nerds that still want Geno or Isaac that any representation is fine, you also have to convince about 99% of the consumer base.

Also as he's said, he's given movesets to AT characters, so it's not like he thinks "they should NEVER EVER EVER EVER make them playable and just dedicate resources to my generic big name third party predictions that won't even come true anyway"

lol, I guess that's my cue to take off the costume.

I was going to do one for all of the characters, but like all things, I didn't go through with it.

As you can see, I'm not the best sprite artist...Also these were done in Microsoft Excel rather than an actual art program like Gimp. I know why I didn't use Gimp before, but I have no idea why I don't now since I have that one.
