Nice to see you catering to the ESRB crowd :^)And here's it with the known characters, with and without the logos.
Do you think it might effect Characters chances?Nice to see you catering to the ESRB crowd :^)
I frankly don't see how an American ratings board will affect the chances of a character in a Japanese game.Do you think it might effect Characters chances?
since Travis's mii costume just says "Travis" in the US stream
same thing happened with Altair and Vault Boy
The ratings are generally consistent across regions. I don't think Nintendo wants Smash or its dlc to be inexplicably higher in rating in one region or another since it's sold internationally.I frankly don't see how an American ratings board will affect the chances of a character in a Japanese game.
Especially when the ESRB started messing with the title logos in presentations after the Pass' lineup was decided.
And yet Bayonetta can enter Smash just fine? The ratings are generally consistent across regions. I don't think Nintendo wants Smash or its dlc to be inexplicably higher in rating in one region or another since it's sold internationally.
The logo thing I get not effecting it but I do think the ratings board of a major market would have some impact.
Yeah, that's part of what I'm saying. They might get characters that are from M rated games or their equivalent but none of them have been included in a way that increases Smash's rating in any region as far as I'm aware. And yet Bayonetta can enter Smash just fine?
As long as it can be censored, they'll put an M-rated character (or D-Rated if we want to speak in CERO terms) if they want to put them, end of story.
That's because even if it's not accessible to the player, it's still content that's inside the game.Yeah, that's part of what I'm saying. That's different to where I live. DLC and base game get separate ratings. That's because even if it's not accessible to the player, it's still content that's inside the game.
San Andreas got the first AO rating in America for a game that's only accessible through hacking, for example.
So if a Smash DLC causes the rating to be higher than the base game's, then the latter's is now a lie due to that one DLC and thus must be changed accordingly, even if a player never buys that one DLC.
While it isn’t your template I’ve filled mine outSince I was asked earlier, here's the template that I used to make my roster image:
And here's it with the known characters, with and without the logos.
(It might not be exactly the same as what I had before; I had to make a new image to make it so it was just the confirmed characters)
I used different-coloured rectangles and moved them to the back layer to get the backgrounds, and I looked up transparent images of the characters/logos and shrunk them down to make them fit before moving them back so they're in the layer between the template and the background. (for PhotoImpact, it's Control + Shift + Enter to shrink the images; I don't know if it's the same for other programs, but it brings up a menu called Object Properties, and I can shrink the image by a percent)
Hopefully the transparent sections work; transparency is pretty finicky for PhotoImpact, at least.

Ok, I just was askingI frankly don't see how an American ratings board will affect the chances of a character in a Japanese game.
Especially when the ESRB started messing with the title logos in presentations after the Pass' lineup was decided.
"Oh they can't show the [insert M-Rated game here] logo in America anymore, guess they'll need to scrap this character then." is such a poor excuse to gatekeep without any real reason other than being a jerk that I'm surprised it's even considered.
DLC and base game also get separate ratings. That's different to where I live. DLC and base game get separate ratings.
I assumed that was how most rating boards work as the SNK 40th Anniversary Collection specifically only offered some games as DLC to keep the base game rating down.
Which still came out before the vast majority of Smash players were even born, and has had no releases since then.and Duck Hunt, the 22nd best selling game of all time (and 2nd best selling NES game overall)
Basically my predictions. While it isn’t your template I’ve filled mine out

Definitely not Reimu. Ain't nuthin' grounded about Touhou characters.Honestly, if we're going off of Glitches, then Samus and Dark Samus could be used as the Main Base for a More Grounded Zoner. Someone like maybe, Reimu? Reimu is on the more anime Esc side. Or potentially even the Bard from FFXIV as a unique Archer Style Fighter.
Considering Touhou's fluid canonicity, Reimu is whatever the hell you want her to be.Definitely not Reimu. Ain't nuthin' grounded about Touhou characters.
Also I don't see how a tall woman could be the basis for a short...is Reimu a child? Stranger things have been claimed though.
I think a lot of people nowadays would have learned about it from Warioware; the majority of Warioware games have it as a microgame.Which still came out before the vast majority of Smash players were even born, and has had no releases since then.
Making it...lesser known.
Reimu doesn't have a canon age afaik, but considering she regularly drinks alcohol I'd guess she's late teens at the youngest. In smash Reimu would probably be in line with the height of most of the female fighters, and take inspiration from the proportions of the second generation fighting games rather than aim for a chibi look.Definitely not Reimu. Ain't nuthin' grounded about Touhou characters.

Alcohol is always a bit of a big thing in Touhou so 99% of the cast are adults and Youkai who probably don't follow such alcohol rules to begin with.On the topic of Reimu, I feel like she's supposed to be in her late teens/20's.
She's constantly shown getting drunk/hammered, and the legal drinking age in Japan is 20.

Yeah, considering one of the songs is literally called "Drunk as I Like," I imagine booze plays a bit of a part in the franchise canon.Alcohol is always a bit of a big thing in Touhou so 99% of the cast are adults and Youkai who probably don't follow such alcohol rules to begin with.

So in a way, we did get a GTA protagonist in Smash... just not CJ or the GTAV trio. Here's a cool fact:
There was a problem fetching the tweetHere's the proof under the tweet.
And they said GTA couldn't get into Smash.
Tbf Min Min's model was taken directly from ARMS but she used Falcon as a base. Not that it matters as we have cases like Plant using Bowser Jr. as a base, when the reason this question was asked is likely to try and validate Glitch theory, which never panned out to anything and never willdidn't they just port his **** directly from minecraft
Nah, there are differences between Min Min's ARMS & Smash Models, same goes for Steve's actually..I noticed he's a bit taller in Smash.Tbf Min Min's model was taken directly from ARMS but she used Falcon as a base. Do you mean the model or textures? There's a difference as Xenoblade DE also just reuses every model but the textures are differentNah, there are differences between Min Min's ARMS & Smash Models, same goes for Steve's actually..I noticed he's a bit taller in Smash.
One of the reasons I love Minecraft's inclusion is that so many fun goofy things like this are now linked with Smash. Here's a cool fact:

The major difference is personality. Master Cheif would fight like a professional whereas Doom Slayer would be more beserker and wild. For me the huge deal is the stage and music. Doom wins this one. The stage potential for Doom is way better than Halo. And the music is better too. Well... in my opinion. Are there any major potential differences between them?
-Both are green
-Both are iconic and famous
-Both of them take on otherworldly creatures (Demons and Flood)
A Doom stage would be kinda too bloody and satanic...The major difference is personality. Master Cheif would fight like a professional whereas Doom Slayer would be more beserker and wild.
