Actually, could someone explain that to me, please? The last time I went over a Fate convo, the most I got out of it is that Saber is a Pikachu*. I think a more in-depth explanation is needed.
She was actually said to be the equivalent to Pikachu, but skipping to Saber=Pikachu is funnier
She's basically the mascot of the series. Aside from being the main heroine of Fate/Stay Night, she also has many "copies/expies", kinda like how in every new Generation of Pokemon, there's also a "Pikachu"-like Electric Pokemon, like Plusle, Minun, Pachirisu, Emolga, etc. Like Saber doesn't just have alternate versions of herself, like her Alter, Lancer, etc versions, but completely unrelated characters somehow look like her.
Like "Red Saber" from Fate/Extra who is actually Nero and Sakura Saber who is actually Okita Souji and Ruler from Apocrypha who is actually Jeanne D'arc(which, ironically, was who people thought Saber was before it was revealed she was female King Arthur). The only non-"Saber" look-alike who actually has a reason to look like her is Mordred.
Pikachu is not a bad comparison to Saber when much like Pikachu, Saber is the main marketing character for the Fate series that she not only has other versions of herself, but completely unrelated characters who resemble her. Like it says alot when Fate/Grand Order makes fun of "Saberfaces", has a character who is just Artoria from a different galaxy who hunts "Saberfaces" and even has the characters talking about how much they appear like rabbits.
