You know, considering how much Development Dante would have With all the Weapons he has, Styles, The Range, Devil Trigger, Combos, etc. that's not only alot of Animating, but that's also alot of Balancing you got to do. If Dante was next, I do wonder if we'd get gameplay of him. Of course if they didn't take a break when developing the characters, his Development should have started in Janurary - Feburary around when Byleth released, so he'd have a whole year to him to get him to workTo me, a Game Awards character reveal screams either a popular third party or at least, a third party that has appeared in the Awards in previous years, or basically Waluigi when it comes to first parties.

The trailer format really does make sense for it though when you think about it. The long drawn out intro with the sudden “hey, it’s actually Smash” moment. Pretty Joker-like. I could see it.
I didn't lose sleep, though that would have only made things worse. I don't plan on watching this year. 2019's was a dumpster fire that allotted more time for musical performances and advertisements than actually, y'know, handing out awards. I'll wait for individual stuff to get uploaded to YouTube. If that means I miss a Smash reveal live, so be it.IMO I don't think Byleth was ever meant to be a Game Awards reveal
Now if we start to hear genuine rumblings about a potential reveal at this year's TGA, then I'd say the best candidates would be Dante or Crash (maybe Monster Hunter but honestly I'd rather have Dante thank you
Geoff did say he'd like to have another "Joker like" reveal this year....buuuut given what happened last year I really REALLY don't want to lose another night's worth of sleep for nothing....

That far? Man, that is kinda messed up that they actually posted that, in my opinion.
And if it's true, Amiibo Theory is dead, because there's no way we're waiting until Fall 2021 for the next fighter.

While Dante has definitely a lot of material and possibilities for a moveset, that doesn't mean he will get everything he has in his games if he gets into Smash. I mean, Bayonetta also uses multiple weapons and she doesn't have any in Smash beyond her signature guns.
I mean, in my headcanon it's pretty obvious. People always have talked about Dante and Bayonetta making a crossover, and with both being big hack n slash characters, it's a natural thing. Plus both characters were created by Kamiya.

It will depend in how Sakurai decides to approach Dante, assuming he's in. Maybe he believes that his sword and his guns are enough to represent the basics of Dante (with a Smash moveset it's very difficult to cover everything he has), and he decides to focus in other things instead, like Devil Trigger, which would probably be the potential gimmick of Dante easier to translate into Smash.

I just forgot about the training stage. What a shame, in that case, they can add 2 more extra stages. They can also put together all three random buttons form normal/battlefield and omega forms into one to give more space for more stages.
Okay, so I searched this thread as well as epicmartin7's posts (I'm sorry about earlier! Blushes) , and there are quite a few things worth noting. First:
Just like other fighters, Min-Min did release around something. However, it wasn't an amiibo release date.. it was an amiibo restock date for Smash amiibo in June.
Now... I was very skeptical to use this date as a fill-in, however, I remembered something crucial. The restock date actually got delayed. It was originally in April believe it or not.
If Min Min had released around the April period it would've tied "more neatly" with ARMS' free-to-play period and the North American Open around that time.
While I'd like that, I don't exactly think they have any intention of doing so. Sucks too since I really dig Destroyed Hyrule Castle.
Must have been a mishap, the way I see it.

I've seen this before, and I'd like to know what track record this dude has. Because it's the first I've ever heard of them and "Sora is disconfirmed" is one hell of an opener.
