Yes. All 2D ATs don't exist in Ultimate anymore. Here's a full list of ATs that were removed from Ultimate (not counting ATs that became playable).

I don't know why they cut Magnus just for a spirit instead, it seems so strange.
Same. Personal favorite robot master of the original series and was so shocked (pun wasn't intended before typing I swear) to see him of all possible characters chosen for an AT, making it in before the likes of Zero and Wily!
These 4 plus Porky? Ya, sure, I’d take it. Even if some of the choices would be underwhelming for me personally.
Oof... and my most wanted? Hmm... though right now my most wanted (certainly pipe-dream) would be Goemon, I'd be fine and fully supportive if the last spot goes to either Doom Slayer (in representation of a new Company being on board, and of the FPS genre), Heihachi Mishima (being the 2nd Bandai-Namco rep, as well as a fighting game villain; also would hope they use the Tekken Tag Tournament intro theme for the reveal trailer), or Dante (being sort of like Ultimate's Bayonetta; not in play-style though). Sorry for the long sentence. If this were to play out, this Fighters Pass would have concluded as a GALACTIC play from Sakurai and Co.'s hands.
(Galactic Plus Ultra if it does end up being Doom Slayer imo).
Overjoyed. Phoenix Wright would be an amazing final character and my roommate really wants Crash. Getting to see Crash mix it up with all these gaming icons would be awesome.
I know it's not gonna happen but I would love to see Sly Cooper/Ratchet n Clank in as DLC. Those games were a big part of my childhood, and even though their series aren't doing so swell nowadays from what I know it would be nice to have em in. Shame that Joker kinda takes up the "Playstation Rep" to himself (even if I was overjoyed at Joker).

I honestly don’t mind it when people talk about picks I don’t know at all.
Oh I definitely don't mind at all. I just think it's interesting seeing people discuss something outside the usual big names in Smash speculation, even if I can't personally contribute much to the conversation. I didn't even know who Erdrick was until he started popping up in rumors, and it led to me wanting to try out Dragon Quest, so this kind of stuff is great for lesser known series
Yeah, I get that. As a kid, I didn't know who Ness was. I had never played F-Zero, Punch-Out, Bayonetta and a few others before I saw them in Smash. Plus the franchises that don't get in, but are heavily speculated, like Ninja Gaiden. Smash acts like a big shop window for games sometimes.
I forgive Joker 1000000000000 times over, also Companion/Color Theories would be confirmed and Mii Costume Theory would take a hike.

This is the reason I want Phoenix Wright, I want more people to play Ace Attorney, the franchise haven't reached its full potential because people aren't that attracted to VNs.

This is honestly one of the things that make me even happier about Banjo. Knowing an entirely new generation might get exposed to the old games feels really heartwarming. I said Smash was like a shop window, but it's sometimes also a time machine for immortalizing franchises currently in limbo. I think fans of Earthbound, Pac-Man and Castlevania must have felt something similar.
I don't want to be rude, but I think you should stop repeatedly presenting Mai to this thread. Only a handful of people on this thread are really considering Mai. This is coming from the same guy who tried to represent a revamped Google Theory and got mostly ignored. Aside of Terry, I would recognize Mai over any other SNK character.

How do we know the character Team NepDon mentioned is female? I don't understand where that came from.
It’s a while back but there was a compilation that said the next character would be female, and that she looked like she would fit right in in a fighting game. She’s supposed to be the next character, and the final pass character according to NepDon’s source has “(already appeared)” next to it, possibly hinting at a Spirit promotion.
