Also, I hadn't heard of Mega Man Fully Charged before, but I'm a little baffled that it got 52 episodes, considering that it seems to have so little consideration for the source material that (going by Wikipedia episode summaries) Dr. Wily doesn't seem to appear at all.

I mean, it's 1 of 15 characters and ARMS in Smash hasn't been like the most tantalizing thing ever AND Nintendo holds all the cards in regards to information about the character. I can see how it's both just not that readily available and how even people who may even have knowledge wouldn't care too much. The vast majority of people who leak information want some degree of glory out of it, saying which one of fifteen is coming next doesn't really net you much clout to be honest. The fact that maybe even as low as a 1/3rd of those 15 are really reasonable barring a conglomerate situation means you could guess any of those five and be equally right means it's even worse off as information to leak. Are you potentially going to blow a source if you care about that sort of thing or attempt to earn a reputation because you got a 1 in 5 chance that most people expected anyway? I feel like the answer is decidedly no.




Alright, what if you gave this a shot? I genuinely want to see what you come up with in terms of making a list according to those rules as our resident first party supporter.

Edit: Alternatively, I'll augment the rules to where you can include any fighter you want, but you have to pick at least 5 third party characters in addition to your choices.

Still makes more sense than the Bayo glitch = Min Min theory. Bayo rarely uses her arms, which is what's most important for basically any ARMS character. Min Min's moveset would probably be mostly punches and attacks involving her arms (for obvious reasons).

Honestly, it would make more sense to use a larger Little Mac skeleton and tweak the punches and posture than Bayo.

Look idk if I believe these glitch theories but if it’s Bayo wouldn’t it definitely be Twintelle because of the slow down time stuff and fighting with hair? I mean the latter probably would be less important but slowing down time would definitely be a factor

So, Dr. Wily does appear in Mega Man: Fully Charged... but he's this red-headed kid who hangs around Mega Man at his school. Like, he's not an antagonist or even a major supporting character, he's just there to give Mega Man someone to talk to during the less interesting B-plots. Instead the villain is just some ominous looking dude who has a weird grudge against robots.

It seems between this, Captain N, and the Ruby Spears cartoon, Mega Man seems to be a magnet for western cartoons that have extremely odd interpretations of the source material.

I didn't say it was the only reason by any stretch of the imagination, just that there's not much particular benefit to leaking who it is and like I said in my original post, barring an ARMS 2 character, you already have it narrowed down to 15 characters, and of those 15, about 5 clearly stand above all others. Let's not pretend leakers aren't vain people by nature and that in such a scenario as this one there just isn't much glory to be had, so I doubt many are interested in it that typically would be, and like it's just not that interesting of a thing to leak. Just like the reveal itself won't actually be that interesting outside of finally showing gameplay because there's literally only 15 characters in the world it could be compared to literally any other reveal where the entire world of gaming was in play.

I can acknowledge the reality of it being a much less tantalizing prize to leakers AND point out the obvious it's a Nintendo character so they control the flow of information much more effectively than third party options that require many more people to be in the loop and have access to the information.

I have to disagree with Binding Blade being dull gameplay wise. While the objectives in Binding Blade lack in variety, it's not like Blazing Blade offers different objectives each chapter. I prefer Blazing Blade myself but in terms of map design and challenge Binding Blade seems clearly superior in comparison to FE7, at least for me.

FE7 being more popular is not surprising with the 3 lords of the game being really popular among fans. FE6 lacks in that regard, also, FE6 story is more focused in the world building and the lore while FE7 focuses more in the characters.

It doesn't, but when it does offer them, there's at the very least variety. Some of the best(And worst) parts of Blazing Blade involve alternate map win cons that aren't just "ROUTE THE ENEMY", and to me at the very least, the unit balance in Blazing Blade seems MUCH better than it was in Binding Blade.

I love a lot of units in Binding Blade, but soo many of them are dumpster bin statwise. Sophia is one of my favorite FE6 units, but there's a reason both her and her map are universally panned for being dreadful.

It's a Smash character, people are going to want to leak it, no matter who it is. When we learned that SNK would be getting a fighter, people were desperate for leakers to tell us who despite SNK arguably having less realistic options than ARMS.

Plus, given how all the leakers were caught off guard by Byleth and how nobody appears to be able to leak Nintendo characters, anyone who does leak the ARMS character will be the king of the hill for the foreseeable future. I don't see how that isn't tantalizing to any glory-seeking would-be leaker.

Somebody pretty boldly leaked Ken and he was an echo everyone assumed would be in the game anyway. Once someone leaked a texture of a platform on Battlefield. I don't think there's really a floor to what people will leak, given the opportunity.

Even if it's not, like, Master Chief, any Smash character is a pretty hot commodity because the fanbase is insane.

You know, with a video Maximilian Dood posted about this game being the Golden Age of Smash and hypothesizing if Smash Ultimate can make it to future consoles, I was thinking about what if this game can reach 100 characters? We so far have 83 (77 of which we know which is just insane...). If you could fill up the remaining spots with characters to make it to 100, who would they be? They cannot be Assist Trophies and you are limited to just one Spirit to be a character. Mine would be something like this (besides the ARMS character):

I mean, it's 1 of 15 characters and ARMS in Smash hasn't been like the most tantalizing thing ever AND Nintendo holds all the cards in regards to information about the character. I can see how it's both just not that readily available and how even people who may even have knowledge wouldn't care too much. The vast majority of people who leak information want some degree of glory out of it, saying which one of fifteen is coming next doesn't really net you much clout to be honest. The fact that maybe even as low as a 1/3rd of those 15 are really reasonable barring a conglomerate situation means you could guess any of those five and be equally right means it's even worse off as information to leak. Are you potentially going to blow a source if you care about that sort of thing or attempt to earn a reputation because you got a 1 in 5 chance that most people expected anyway? I feel like the answer is decidedly no.




Alright, what if you gave this a shot? I genuinely want to see what you come up with in terms of making a list according to those rules as our resident first party supporter.
