I know I've said this before but, I have autism, so when you like... word vomit, it kinda makes me shut off. Can we... at least 'try' to summarize what can be said in like, a parahraph and not an entire story? I don't wanna sound harsh but, it's really hard to read.... all these massive posts you reply with me with without my mind just kinda turning off.

Well, that won't happen. I can't summarize points because there's nothing to summarize. The only thing I might do at most is repeat a point more than once, but that's an accidental habit I try to avoid.

I try to actually reply to my opponent's points reasonably. And that means acknowledging everything they say. If something is cut out, that means I am conceding that point. I find that the best and most respectful way to reply in a debate. Every point someone makes matters. Even if it's not the best point(and a lot of points are bad). What would ignoring them accomplish? Nothing.

Basically, you're asking me to do half-assed replies at best. That's not nor ever was my style. Now if you want to actually debate, look at what I actually said. It's clear your argument was about hindsight, but it's also clear it's a poor argument to make. Everything is (somewhat) obvious in hindsight. That doesn't help when we were trying to figure out stuff before we knew it. Jack is the fun one, because, again, it tied into Joker three ways. This is what confused people.

(That's the best summary I can give, honestly. And if it's not good enough, well, then I can't converse with you at all if even my small posts, which has been all my latest posts, are too unreadable).

Small correction: It's been said before, but thinking about it, I remember this as well. Jack was very quickly tied to Joker because he had been revealed before we even saw the codename, and we didn't find Doyle until his release.

Had we have known the codename sooner though, I doubt we'd have put two and two together before the reveal.

EDIT: Jane and the ponytail would have thrown us way off as well.

Ah, my bad. I thought we knew of Jack beforehand. We still didn't know how it tied to Joker either way, as there was three reasonable guesses. Which is why we didn't figure out how it mattered for later names beyond "yes, it obviously a trait for the character of note", which says little.

Solo and Eight weren't leaked by anyone. Only Erdrick and Eleven. Those were the specific characters on the Square Seven list. We weren't able to really know for sure of the idea of Alts since Verge never went into that territory.

There was another user who did leak that there was "costumes", and another one who asked "what about Erdrick?" and got a "sure why not". Alts in general weren't really done by Verge. The one who leaked costumes directly said there were female alts, but that was wrong. Sakurai did say he planned for more Heroes, so that might be part of where that leak came from. The "what about Erdrick?" bit is more interesting, as it didn't hint at any specific costumes, but it ended up closest as well.

It's a weird one to be sure.

Vergeben seemed to know everything about the direct, but didn't want to out his source so he never named Byleth. If he wasn't just screwing with everyone, there's a good chance Byleth was still leaked internally.

He himself claims to have only gotten his supposed PM mere minutes before the Direct, and him spitting out the Mii costumes before they came out kinda confirms that.

You know, with a video Maximilian Dood posted about this game being the Golden Age of Smash and hypothesizing if Smash Ultimate can make it to future consoles, I was thinking about what if this game can reach 100 characters? We so far have 83 (77 of which we know which is just insane...). If you could fill up the remaining spots with characters to make it to 100, who would they be? They cannot be Assist Trophies and you are limited to just one Spirit to be a character. Mine would be something like this (besides the ARMS character):

Your argument doesn't make sense. "It's obvious this was this in hindsight" is a pointless argument to make. You need to remove hindsight and then look at why people didn't have one guess only for it to mean much. Obviously in hindsight it makes sense. What kind of argument is that but a pointless one? .

Ooh, nice. Yeah, it's crazy Verge knew so much. Though I get why he didn't say anything about Byleth.


Byleth was clearly not going to be met well, so him not wanting to ruin the surprise is probably... cause he likes stirring up stuff sometimes. It's just who he is. He waited a while to leak Isaac's role too, The timing was pretty clearly to be a prick about it.


Of course, he probably knew it a long time ago. However, if the Grinch Hoax never came up? He wouldn't have leaked Isaac. So the timing has a point to it beyond being a prick.

naw naw, a Zeta is just a wingless Ridley playstyle, Omega Metroid or bust.

If you fought the Omega Metroids in Samus Returns and saw that one PSA/moveset showcase of Godzilla in a custom Project: M build, you'd understand why he'd be the pretty cool Metroid addition in Smash.
A very kaiju/giant monster-inspired playstyle that tells you to back off once he blast his beam breath on the ground, hahaha.

I'm also for Omega Metroid, especially if they manage to make the scream sound like in Metroid Fusion (GBA)

Zavok is a missing spirit too? lol there's everyone from Sonic except him/the Deadly 6... anyway I'm not going to add him in my list, who cares of him.

Initially I had Karate Joe in the list, but I decided to replace him with Tap Girl (Rhythm Girl, but I specifically take her Tap Trial version with the monkeys) because he's a spirit and I wanted to give the spirit slot to Lip instead, since Panel de Pon has been finally released worldwide, and she deserves it because her stick is in Smash since Melee.

Sadly I couldn't add Ganon and Vaati due to them having a spirit already, but their spirit don't represent the intended form (classic pig Ganon and minish Vaati). I could have changed Ganon's name to something different, like Pig Ganon, Classic Ganon or Demon King Ganon, but I prefer that if he's added he would be just Ganon.

I added 2 Kirby characters because Kirby deserves it. Metroid as well.

For the third parties, I wanted to cover some of the most influential and iconic franchises. I choose Hornet instead of the knight because her gamepay IMO is more interesting, but they are equivalent IMO, both have one game where they are protagonists, and no, the knight is not the Hollow Knight from the series' title.

I excluded Minecraft becuse I already added Age of Empires and Halo, 2 Microsoft IPs. Minecraft can get a stage and some assist trophies BTW, or be fighter 101 (I don't want to remove from the first party section, Smash needs more first party). Age of Empires is really underrated, it's the history of RTS games.

Angry Birds is there to represent mobile gaming; I think they're an icon enough to deserve it, even if their game is not popular anymore.

You know, with a video Maximilian Dood posted about this game being the Golden Age of Smash and hypothesizing if Smash Ultimate can make it to future consoles, I was thinking about what if this game can reach 100 characters? We so far have 83 (77 of which we know which is just insane...). If you could fill up the remaining spots with characters to make it to 100, who would they be? They cannot be Assist Trophies and you are limited to just one Spirit to be a character. Mine would be something like this (besides the ARMS character):
