Is this Frogger meme exclusive to Smashboards or am I just dreaming?

According to Wikipedia (I know it is not a legit source, sue me,) Frogger has been around since 1981 and was developed and owned by Konami.
The original arcade game (which is a classic title on in the USA) was published by Sega despite Konami developing it.
The series is still going on today though Frogger himself is now mostly shown as bipedal.
Oh yeah, quite a number of his games have shown up on Nintendo consoles.

Doom Slayer -> Ganon (Looks like a demon? Check. Has energy attacks? Check. Is in a setting that looks like hell? CHECK.)

Ragna the Bloodedge -> Dracula (He's the closest proxy to Susanoo. Now if Nu-13 was added alongside Ragna...)

Agumon -> Giga Bowser (Come on! Bowser is digivolving here too! Plus Bowser is kind of a dragon so...)

Besides the obvious, I'd also say
Tails: His classic mode would need to be themed around heroes and sidekicks, so he and Sonic would need to take Master and Crazy together.
Urbosa or Midna: Ganon, like every other Zelda character. Fits, at least.

Geez I get the Wii-u underperformed at a dramatic level but any more ports from it feel like just adding another mound of dirt on an already buried coffin. Though I would be fine with a XenoX port I suppose.

At this point all it would have left are Splatoon 1, 3D World and the Guest Characters in Mario Maker.

Now I got a question for everyone:

Picture this. It's the last fighter. It's the latest Direct. You've waited 40 minutes to see this. Your favorite has not yet been included. Then, BAM! It's not who you wanted. Which character would make you mad? (As in, "WHY DID ((insert that final character)) GET IN?? WTF??")

Any character that's similar to Piranha Plant, a generic mook enemy. Many fan favorite characters got completely shafted and problem never going to see the light of day in Smash Bros, so it's always annoying knowing that a generic enemy had more priority and importance than so many fan favorite when it comes to Smash Bros, just makes those characters feel inferior.

If Steve or Crash are the final Fighters Pass character then I regret buying the pass. Won't be angry, just disappointed which honestly feels like par for the course when it comes to final reveals. Rather just buy Joker, Banjo, and Terry then leave it at that if that was the case.

They're not going to announce a Xenoblade X port when they're actively hyping up Xenoblade Definitive Edition, unfortunately. Consumers would get too confused and stare blankly at their eShop menu, too overstimulated by the assortment of games with "Xenoblade" in the title to function coherently, drool slowly dripping out of their mouths as they try to make sense of the difference between Xenoblade Definitive Edition, Xenoblade 2, Xenoblade 2: Torna The Golden Country and Xenoblade X.

Enough so that you would basically stop speculating and just buy them all regardless? Or has Joker/Hero/Banjo/Terry been that character for anyone?

And as a tangent to that, what if that character got in, but you royally sucked with them? Like they were Brawl Ganondorf low tier trash or Brawl Meta Knight broken, or maybe have a really obnoxious gimmick. What then?

For me, it's Dovahkiin (I'm sure everyone on this forum is shocked...). But as to the other point, I'd still be so stoked that I wouldn't care. I normally dislike gimmicky characters, but that's because I don't like the character enough to learn the gimmick. If they gave me a super gimmicky Dragonborn, I'd work my *** off to git gud and learn it. In terms of playstyle, I tend to go for the heavier melee users anyway, so I'd probably be fine. I doubt they'd give me a speedster, but even if they did, I'd practice my *** off just to be able to see my dreams come true.

Joker and Terry were mine. And coincidentally, I'm terrible with Joker because I cannot be so precise with my movements, though I love how he plays. I'm just bad at videogames!

That said, if Travis Touchdown got in, I really wouldn't be able to ask for anything ever again.

See, if it's just 2 then I'm torn, because I'd like to see Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101 and Xenoblade X and can only get 2.

But since it's "(at least) 2", there's potential for more than 2 additional remasters, and if anything, it could be as many as 5 and get those 3 + 3D World and Wind Waker.

For me it is Darkrai. I would still play him even if I sucked with him since I think I would be so happy I won't be caring about skill at that point.

Banjo was basically that character for this Fighters Pass. I'd still like future characters to appeal to me for more DLC since I'll be buying it, but Banjo (and Joker to a lesser extent) is enough to justify the 19 dollars + coins I spent on the Fighters Pass, as well as my last "white whale" Smash speculation want.

All of my desires die instantly the moment Arle sets foot in the battlefield. Even if she was unplayable trash, even if she was cancerous to competitive play. I'd still use and love her.

I would find a way to make Rex work no matter his place on the tier list.

I basically went through the "make you mad" situation twice with Piranha Plant and Hero. Piranha Plant came literally minutes after they saved Isaac's AT reveal and crushed my soul, that they had the time to include another fighter and decided to go with a generic Mario enemy instead of another unrepresented Nintendo franchise...

I guess I understand Isaac would have needed a stage and music, so it's not 1:1, and the timing was mostly an unfortunate coincidence, but it still hurt. Real bad. Like made my stomach turn.

Hero was much the same. You can tell me that Dragon Quest is much more popular in Asia or whatever, and my conscious brain understands why and that others were happy, but that still didn't make the fact that another, less interesting and unique JRPG swordsman from a third-party was included before Nintendo's own, better, JRPG franchise that had been requested since Brawl. Oh, and he only comes with two songs from a literal stingy bigot racist.

And I don't even hate those characters or their design or gameplay or whatever. They just hit my emotions so negatively. And, obviously, at least I had hope for the future.

Anyway, yeah to your point, I love so many Nintendo franchises. So much fun with Mario and Zelda throughout the years, ect. Played KI:U and all the Pokemon, ect. But I never really felt like Dark Wizzy does for Mario for anybody in Smash, ya know? Play different characters in each game, mostly for playstyle. I do think though that if any of the following made it into Smash Bros, I'd be done. I'd have a permanent main and the rest of the game could be filled with people I don't even care about but it would be fine.

• A Venus Adept or any Golden Sun character
• An Advance Wars character
• 2B
• Starcraft/Warcraft character
• Skull Kid or Young Link with a moveset from Majora's Mask

Carmen Sandiego and Style Savvy are two of my "never ask for anything again" picks, but I would also totally freak out if 2B, Estelle Bright, or a Soul Calibur character (especially Cassandra) got in. And if we're talking the pipest of dreams here: Kat. If Kat got in... I'm done. Nothing would eeever top that for me. But I'm the type of person who bought the season pass as soon as it was available. When it comes to Smash, I'm going to always get the DLC characters. It's a total steal.

Geez I get the Wii-u underperformed at a dramatic level but any more ports from it feel like just adding another mound of dirt on an already buried coffin. Though I would be fine with a XenoX port I suppose.

At this point all it would have left are Splatoon 1, 3D World and the Guest Characters in Mario Maker.

It'd also have Nintendo Land, Yoshi's Wooly World, Mario Party 10, Smash 4, Fatal Frame: MoBW, the Nintendo edition of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, its Wii backwards compatibility and Eshop collection, and its separate screen gimmick, which made games like Lego Marvel Superheroes and Hyrule Warriors more fun locally because each player had an entire screen to themselves. I'm glad that there are a lot of Wii U ports that people can experience for the first time, but it's also kinda funny because the Wii U itself was very solid and super underrated.

But yeah... please give us that Xenoblade X port, Nintendo!

4. Fire Emblem Heroes protagonist with the gun that shoots FE characters

That's like the 3rd request of a cute little Pokemon I never heard of, but I can definitely make that work. The water Gen 8 starter is probably the most underrated of the three; the rabbit seems neat, IMO; the monkey is popular on here. I think Dixie has a lot of potential, so that'll be fun to make her as unique as possible. I'm just now realizing how much I want a FE character with a gun in Smash lol.

3. This one is hard, not due to the lack of characters but rather that there are a bunch of them. Maybe 2B, Arle, Kazuma Kiryuu, Amateratsu, Arthur, Dovahkiin, Ezio, Reiko Nagase, Chosen Undead, Jack Frost from the top of my head.

4. Adol from Ys, have little experience with the series but it is one of the most influential series among JRPGs, alternatively someone like Master Chief or Doomguy who are from an unrepresented genre are from a unique archetype as having several weapons but don't really care much about them

Space Invaders surprisingly has a lot to pull from, and a huge legacy to boot, so that'd be an honor. I already did Circus Charlie, but I could probably finish up the concept since I didn't post a complete moveset. Those are all good choices. I'd love to do one for Adol. I feel the same way about most of the shooter protagonists lol.

1. York (Deadly Premonition)

As someone who has York as their 3rd most wanted character in Smash and thinks would be the biggest WTF pick for DLC, I have no idea how he'd work in Smash with how limited the combat in the original game is. Granted, Deadly Premonition 2 could have a varied and different combat system than the original, but right now, it's hard for me to think of stuff York could do for a game like Smash.

2. Johnny Gat (Saints Row)

After playing a few Saints Row games, Gat's a cool character. The series may have jumped multiple sharks after the 2nd game, but I'd be down for Gat in Smash even when it won't happen. I just don't really want to think of his possible Smash moveset though cause I haven't played through every Saints Row game (or even Agents of Mayhem but I'm not interested in playing it unless it goes on sale for around $5 USD probably). I also want to bring up that he's playable in Divekick, so there's that.

3. Michael (Metal Wolf Chaos)

Alright this game is really stupid and would probably also fit with the 1st category, but it's the kind of stupid that I enjoy and would certainly love to see be in Smash as the FromSoft rep so that all Smash fans can enjoy the amount of times Michael screams RICHAAAAAAAAAARD.

4. A Streets of Rage character (Streets of Rage)

Streets of Rage 4 was announced in the Nindies, and even though Sidescrolling beat-em-ups aren't my thing, I think Streets of Rage would be a pretty cool franchise to add. I only say a Streets of Rage character because I don't really know anything about the characters in the games, so I'm curious as to who could rep the series in Smash if there's more than 1 protagonist.

OMG, I'm surprised York from Deadly Premonition wasn't brought up yet, but he somehow didn't cross my mind; great suggestion. Same for Johhny! I'm glad you brought awareness to Metal Wolf Chaos, because I had no idea that existed. This is a very solid list, and it even gives me an excuse to post a Blaze Fielding moveset.

Well we got some new rumors two Wii u ports are coming to switch although not crazy interesting or huge news its better then nothing my best are on Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 second guess would be super Mario 3d World and Wind Waker HD

I want to say W101 as well, but after two years since their last tease (I think?) I really don't see it coming.
