Fighter 5 is the giant flaming Smash logo. How did we miss it all this time?

Still, whatever. Banjo-Kazooie alone is a mere 400K away from Sakura Taisen's twenty something titles combined. They are clearly not in the same ballpark of popularity here.

It had good numbers for a series that was exclusively released in Japan for a majority of its run.

I'm still thinking of the possibility of an anniversary Direct. To me, it would seem illogical for Nintendo to show a Direct dedicated to the anniversary of one of their biggest games, and one that is still ongoing.

It's Tuesday today, and we haven't had any news of a Direct/Smash presentation for this Thursday.

It may still end up happening on Friday or Saturday (especially since we just got an anniversary Spirit Board announcement), but for now... yeah, I'm thinking it's the Game Awards.

Woke: The Game Awards being rigged all along as the real winner is anything but Smash, and they just purposefully gave the award just to do a reveal.

I've been saying this for a while.
But it was contingent on a November Nintendo Direct not happening.
The contingency has been fulfilled.

It makes sense given that the last time we went a month between a DLC release and the next character reveal was from Joker's release to E3, and we got two reveals.
From Terry's release to TGA is a similar amount of time.
Whomever FP5 is, my gut is pointing hard toward Crash for Pass 2.
It is compounded by the fact that there have been reliable leaks for a new Crash game at TGA.

TGA is a possibility but I personally would caution people on hyping responsibly with it. TGA makes sense for Smash, yes, but what makes even more sense is a BotW 2 trailer as well.

Not saying it isn't likely, but it's far from a lock IMO. January makes a lot of sense as well, especially if a Direct is coming next month.

Another great round of spirit battles!

Octopath Traveller was a game I really liked.

It's certainly one of the aesthetically pleasing games I've ever played, the sprite art and music were absolutely phenomenal. I enjoyed the smaller and more personal scope of the story. i had a few qualms about stuff like the lack of character interactions and the repetitive dungeon designs, but I'd absolutely love to see a sequel to Octopath or another RPG that is inspired by it.

Ultimate should get some spirits and music from Octopath. That's for sure.

And Bravely series music too while we're at it. Stick it on Midgar. I'd hate to have Find Mii be the only real fitting stage for most of the tracks.
