Is the C&D reaply fake? Iirc, there were a bunch of people from places such as Source Gaming (Spazzy was one, iirc) that said it was real. Would they have any real reason to lie about it being real or not?

There's stuff such as the incredibly informal wording used for a legal document and if it's fake then Sabi could go "Oh no you guys I can't talk about what I was going to leak I'm soooooo sorry"

Fighter Pack 5 Challenger is actually an abominable amalgamation of all the named deconfirmed characters made as a compromise to the fans called Cracerbusanopiontoyd Resifreeguy. It summons Nippon Ichi, Falcom and Ubisoft characters for special moves. Sakurai hopes you look forward to this shocking but bold fighter.

I didn't expect to get an Undertale rep after the Sans costume, but I guess the Amalgamates it is.

I dont get the "roadblock" argument because isnt Dragon Quest arguably bigger than Kingdom Hearts? Yet Sora as DLC still seems likely. It's not really a race to who gets in Smash first, if we were to get say; Nightmare instead of KOS-MOS, does that mean he's bigger than her? No, theres a lot of other factors in there.

Sakurai said himself that a character shouldn't be added on solely popularity or how well known they are, but these kinds of arguments to validate their most wanted characters still pops up. The character could be literally anyone.

Didn't papagenos discuss the first cat leak a week before the second cat leak was made? If anything I think that increases the odds of the second one being a copycat and simply using the first one to get some attention.

Even if the leak is fake I still think KOS-MOS has a good chance though.

If all Sabi is doing is asking her source who it isn't, then one of their deconfirmations could be lies. After all, the reason we don't know FP 5 yet is because they wont tell Sabi who it is. Otherwise, this info will expose them to their higher-ups.

Now if Sabi asks this source if it's Lloyd and then the source responds, "Yeah! You got me!" Then that screws the source over as Sabi will reveal that ****. Likewise, the same thing can happen to Vergeben. As a result, the source could catch onto this and will not answer truthfully even if Sabi asks the golden character.

Seems like everything said should be taken with a grain of salt.

Actually, I think she’s likely because she does have a lot of factors that lead me towards her in particular. I’m biased towards many other characters, such as Hollow Knight, because I don’t like Kosmos as a character. What I do keep in mind is that Sakurai is a biased person and his choices are the things that ultimately matter. I’m sorry that I undermine Nightmare, the guy just doesn’t scream to me as a potentially unique character when Fire Emblem has overwhelmed the roster with sword users. If the game didn’t have so many sword characters in the first place, I would say “I could see him in the roster, his design is also pretty cool”.

I figure that there's gotta be a modicum of trust between leaker and insider. Considering how long responses usually take, I think it's more likely that if Sabi or whoever asks about the character that is in, the insider will just claim not to know rather than outright disconfirm them. Otherwise they're hurting the leaker's credibility.

Funny you're using Terry in that sentence when he is without a doubt the closer thing to an industry juggernaut character in all the fighter pass so far and of course he's above KOS-MOS if we talk in these terms.

I think KOS-MOS is really cool and looks badass and that she has some chances (but not more than Heihachi or a Tales rep), to clarify.

Frankly, I believe getting into debates as to whether the cat leak is real or not is rather pointless now. VGAs aren't that far away from now, and if for whatever reason, there's not any Smash announcement, worst case scenario, it'll come not too long later, since Nintendo is on borrowed time as they're legally obligated to have all characters released before February 2020 ends (92 days to be more exact).

Now, history can repeat itself as much as it can't. This year has shown us too well that DLC characters aren't immune to leaks as many people thought a year ago when Joker was revealed.

Katalina from Granblue Fantasy was a rumor that never quiet came home to roost
Doomguy isn't in there but Bethesda's other properties could such as Fallout or Elder Scrolls
Square could possibly get a second fighter but I don't see it as likley. Sora however has his copyright under the banner of the Mouse
Namco still has those unreleased Mii costumes so I'm thinking a BN character can still be possible. Feeling KOS_MOS the most of them
Minecraft content was apparently in the works for Smash U at least at one point.

At least the rapier is in spirit gameplay wise, but the Falchion is iconic as ****, literally the first thing you see when booting up FE1 iirc

Anyway here's Nightmare riding a badass spectral horse, I really think this would be a cool side-b or recovery move.

Plus he could do a bunch of interesting stuff with his claw arm as it's own weapon. If anything I'd think Nightmare would be closer to Ganondorf than to any Fire emblem character.

If KOS-MOS is revealed as FP5, I don’t see why it would necessarily mean the drunk cat leak is real. She’s not that far-fetched of an inclusion as she has plenty of merits that would make her a fun and interesting addition to the game, not to mention her long history of crossover appearances.

There’s been plenty of leaks in the past that seemed credible by predicting unlikely character reveals, but eventually fizzled out when it became clear they were lucky guesses.

I think KOS-MOS might be in, but whoever comes in afterwards is a mystery to me.

I personally don't put much faith in it myself and believe in KOS-MOS' chances for different reasons, but please stop acting like you're able to confirm the "leak" is bogus. We'll see for ourselves in a couple of weeks.
