Yeah I never understood the people complaining about Dark Samus just being an echo. They were never going to put full time resources and effort into a secondary Metroid villain that hasn't had a notable role in over a decade now.

She's really not that far removed from characters like Isaac or Krystal, so yes, echo or not, it's a minor miracle she even made it at all.

Daily reminder that Sabi isn’t worth listening to and that no characters are actually deconfirmed except for Resident Evil. I’m getting tired of speculation just being the “Sabi Show” as they continually seek attention with this whole farce of a “season of leaks.”

Like, at this point you either have to be full of **** or just an attention seeker to continually say “that’s definitely not in” without saying who it is or why you can keep “deconfirming” characters left and right.

It's funny, because you can directly see who knows how leaks work and who doesn't.
Which by the way, Sabi isn't the only one deconfirming characters, Vergeben too.

I'll explain one last time. They have someone, a Source, that KNOWS FP5, and like, probably a sources that most of us would dream to have in the industry, no joke.
However, the name of the FP5 is so secret that just saying who it is would be easy to trace it back to the short amount of people who really knows who it is.
However? Deconfirming characters? That's easy, you can easily deconfirm characters since you're not breaking NDA or Risking any pursuit because you're just shooting down lies, not spreading the truth.

Segata could actually work pretty well if they take a similar approach to how they added Terry.

Rather than being a love letter to a company, he could be a love letter to a specific platform; the SEGA Saturn.

Give him Spirits, Music, and Stage cameos that reference several big titles of the Saturn; Nights, Panzer Dragoon, Shining Force III, House of the Dead, Sakura Wars, Burning Rangers, Virtua Cop, etc.
Have Sakura appear in the background of his stage to cheer him on when he's a selected character. >_>

Just replace the glowing piece of Soul Edge with a Smash Invitation and we already a perfect reveal trailer.

Really would love Nightmare, not only because I love the series, not only because Nightmare needs a rematch with Link, but because Maximilian Dood would go ballistic again and I want to see his reaction.

While possible, it depends on what character you have in mind. I'm of the notion it's not a big character, so I don't think it's from a major franchise, especially the ones that get peddled about in this community or something from Sony.

I don't think moveset is really an indication either way considering other characters. I'm also just basing it off what Sabi's discord has apparently heard as far as names go. I'd honestly love if they were wrong and you were right.

Verg and Sabi are secondary sources. They get stuff from people in the industry, and they very well may have some of the same sources. Typically, if either of them know it, then other people know as well.

Back before Box Leak era, I knew it was over with just Ken and Incineroar. This was something effectively clarified for me and others in the group I was a part of. This group included other people on this very site, sometimes in this very thread.

Things Verg commented on were typically known by many in the “insiders” group. It’s not as if he’s the only one with information.

To further clarify, the reason why characters can be disconfirmed is because it’s fundamentally different: they aren’t sayOmg who is actually in, and therefore could be seen as literally basically any other fan making predictions. Sure, it boils things down for us. But they aren’t saying who we’re getting outright.

To be fair though, Sabi is absolutely an attention seeker. If you build your rep on leaks and having information, you want to be the first with the information. If you don’t have it, you have to fish for it or make something up. The former is safer than the latter and still makes it seem like you know something. He constantly reports on stuff whereas Verg only sometimes does.

If you ask me, it’s more likely that nobody SECONDARY to the situation knows the pick. Verg and Sabi, as secondaries, are asking to try and narrow things down.

They probably can’t, and won’t get more information until we’re closer to the reveal itself. They’ve played it perfectly, giving us information and maintaining attention on them.

(EDIT: The Sabi C&D is hilariously fake at this point considering he STILL publicly talks about leaks lmao)
