Official Newcomer/DLC Speculation Discussion

After attempting to find a template of the Smash Ultimate CSS with 16 placeholders so I could built a fan roster, I ended up finding a template of the CSS with room for 29 more DLC characters... I doubt we're getting that many, but just for fun... what are your ratings for this?

I've heard recasting a character with a new voice actor after the old one dies is considered disrespectful in Japan.

That's true, but they will still recast if it's absolutely necessary (such as, in Heihachi's case, the current voice actor dying).

Phoenix Wright is still in the running, even after a fake leak
Katalina from Granblue Fantasy was a rumor that never quiet came home to roost
Doomguy isn't in there but Bethesda's other properties could such as Fallout or Elder Scrolls
Square could possibly get a second fighter but I don't see it as likley. Sora however has his copyright under the banner of the Mouse
Namco still has those unreleased Mii costumes so I'm thinking a BN character can still be possible. Feeling KOS_MOS the most of them
Minecraft content was apparently in the works for Smash U at least at one point.

Any I missed?

Anything Dynasty Warriors. And honestly Lu Bu or Zhao Yun are who I'm betting on if they show off Smash at the likely upcoming Chinese launch presentation.

Capcom still has Amaterasu and others up their sleeve.

Something like StarCraft could still be possible, perhaps even WarCraft. Kerrigan is especially someone to keep in mind.

My VGA favorites are either Heihachi / Sora / Dovachkin, but I could see a character like Yuri Lowell getting it.

No it just shows how poor researched you are on the Xeno franchise. I'm sorry but Shulk got in smash because of promotion for Xenoblade. If KOS-MOS was on a main console Nintendo game I guarantee you she would have been in a long time ago. Your point is moot.

The moment they put him in Smash, he became 1000 times more recognizable than any other Xeno character. So he is now, whether you like it or not.

Bruh I’m a Xeno die-hard and I can tell you with 100% certainty Shulk is not the face of Xeno.

It's also a necessity to replace voice actors if the character in question is important to Japanese pop culture, like the Dragon ball voice cast.

Lloyd is out of the running for FP #5. Now speculation has ramped up as he was one of the frontrunners for the FP #5 spot.

Also Sabi said he won't do any more deconfirmations as the Game Awards are coming up in just less than two weeks.

I think Challenger Pack 5 is Phoenix Wright.

If I’m right, I will buy the entire Ace Attorney series. I totally wasn’t going to buy it anyway, so yeah, uh, it’s totally a deal.

If I’m wrong, then I will say, “Oh ****, I’m wrong again”.

Maybe Sabi should've looked into KOS-MOS while she was at it considering KOS-MOS has been speculated about a lot too and even more so than some of the other characters on the "deconfirmed" list. It's obvious some people are passionate about her and I think she'd be a cool addition too.

Though whether or not the list actually ends up being accurate as far as deconfirmations for #5 go is still something that remains to be seen.

Honestly at the risk of coming across as biased I have to say in some ways you could consider Fiora more of the face of Xenoblade 1 than Shulk is.

Considering she almost always appears besides Shulk as his counterpart such as in Xenoblade 2, was the one chosen to appear in Project X Zone 2 paired up with THE face of Xeno, and get this, she was even used as the face of the game’s marketing campaign in Japan and not Shulk, yeah I’d say it’s kind of a debatable position:

Daily reminder that Sabi isn’t worth listening to and that no characters are actually deconfirmed except for Resident Evil. I’m getting tired of speculation just being the “Sabi Show” as they continually seek attention with this whole farce of a “season of leaks.”

Like, at this point you either have to be full of **** or just an attention seeker to continually say “that’s definitely not in” without saying who it is or why you can keep “deconfirming” characters left and right.

KOS-MOS is the face of the Xeno series because she’s an embodiment of the series thematically and as a character, this isn’t a popularity contest lmao.
