If Lloyd is actually deconfirmed, it's Milk-BOSATU time.

Wasn’t this leak deconfirmed already just by the timeline it creates? How did someone just walk into “Nintendo” and see a 3D model for something that wouldn’t have been made at that time?

So Lloyd and seemingly any Tales related character is out now? Figures. I never believed Lloyd would be a fitting candidate to end the Fighter Pass on regardless of the SMASH NEVER ENDS WITH A BANG thing people bring up.



And still, Dynasty Warriors, Soulcalibur, and The Witcher have yet to be deconfirmed for FP5. With every passing day a character is butchered from FP5, these 3 series end up feeling the most likely ending the Fighter Pass to me. I can already feel the goosebumps.

Yup, Sabi only referred to the leak being fake, seemingly only on the basis of the French journalist saying as much, meaning that she likely didn’t contact any sources.

Still, there is a chance that some of the disconfirmeds are the result of leak-bait and thing can turn about. Wouldn't bet on it but it's a possibility.

If the Tekken, Tales of, and SoulCalibre series are disconfirmed (I don't think they are but if they are) I'm pretty sure this just means no Namco character for the foreseeable future.

If Lloyd's out then I really don't know anymore, I was so sure it'd be him at this point, especially because he survived deconfirmation for so long despite being a hot topic of discussion. Maybe it's Nightmare, Chosen Undead or KOS-MOS, but with all these deconfirmations I'm kinda beginning to think it's going to be someone unexpected from a new company.

The Witcher actually got started as a series of novels so technically Geralt is a non-video game character.

Just like that....down goes Lloyd and Tales of in general apparently for the Fighter Pass! Can they just say they don't know, at least that would be best for everybody at this point! I'm slowly starting to get tired of this guess who game and these deconfirmations. You know it's bad that most of the fandom is actually anticipanting deconfirmation than knowing who it is. Just when we think we have a lead on a character, they get shot down within the next couple of days.

I doubt Heihachi purely on the fact that his Japanese voice actor passed away last year. They retired the character in Tekken because of it and I can see it being a similar case with Smash unless they want to re-use old voice clips.

At least if we start thinking that and Sabi looks into it it'll leak pretty fast. Bethesda is a watertight as a rowboat with termites these days.

I'm gonna bet on that wildcard China reveal. Yes, wildcard, that's why I'm betting on it. Especially if the upcoming presentation showcases upcoming games (even if it's just Tencent porting their mobile games over like CoD Mobile).

Also because that might be uncomfortably close to VGA (sooner than VGA at that).

So I doubt that Jon GameXplain was really trying to hint at anything or hide info, but to entertain the idea in his video and the "maybe it's a first party"/"contradictions" statements it'd be extremely hype if at the Game Awards they replayed Joker's trailer, only for Akira Howard to burst into the scene and arrest him. Then in the interrogation room, we learn who Joker's legal counsel is and it's Phoenix Wright.

I can dream...

Anyway, I still think Lloyd has a good shot post-pass, unless fighter 5 is Heihachi (which, I can't lie, I'd obviously be super hyped for). This is crazy, so many rumors swirling around. This is gonna be a long few weeks.

They've already used Heihachi in a mobile game, reused voice clips and everything. Not to mention this isn't even the first Heihachi VA to pass. Heihachi's just fine.

Acknowledging a company != hinting the next fighter.

I feel like KOS-MOS is in a similar spot as characters like Amaterasu; She has her merits but there's now way she's getting in over industry juggernauts/characters that are on people's radars beyond the core Smash fanbase.
