Why do you hate the US so much? It's not like we're somehow more fundamentally stupid people.

Numbers, I'm not hating, I'm just pointing that out.

Safehaven, in the eyes of the law kids can't consent, it doesn't matter how smart the kid is. It's actually the best way to do it.

I really do hope that you're just trolling... I mean, the things you're saying combined with the way you're spelling and phrasing them. You're just trying to make fun of ignorant people, right? Right??

A Message For Safehaven

Stop mispelling swears to get around the censor. Stop flaming. Stop typing like you have downs. Stop talking about porn and alcohol laws. Failure to comply with any of these will result in infractions.

I mean it about the typing thing. If you have more than one grammatical, punctual, spelling, etc. error in your following posts I will infract you.

dearly, Luigitoilet

Go look in forum support. And defend yourself for being a terrible mod.
I hope you have a good reason for this.

Maybe some 12 year olds will view alcohol as dangerous and not just something that tastes great and makes them tingly, but I doubt that all 12 year olds can make an informed decision about whether or not to consume alcohol simply because their brain isn't fully developed. In very real terms they are a different person now than they will be when they grow up, and it's unethical to let 12-year-old Bob harm 18-year-old Bob. Like I said, it's important to set the bar a bit high because it's better that some responsible child go without than some naive, ignorant child ruin their life.

Most states have "Romeo and Juliet" clauses where it's not statutory **** if the age difference between the two parties is 2 years or less, or something like that.

Edit: why does every discussion about homosexuality turn into one about child molestation?

the point is this is a dark road which has no real end
Are you proposing a ban on all marriages? Because the "dark road" started when straight people started getting married. Which lead to queers wanting to do it, which will eventually lead to kids getting married and Nazis riding dinosaurs and the return of boy bands.

why is marriage a right. and why arent other things?
Civil unions don't affect federal benefits such as social security and joint filing of federal taxes. It has to be called "marriage" in order to qualify. Social security is something that everyone pays for, regardless of sexual orientation. Two chunks are taken out of every one of my paychecks specifically for federal taxes and social security. If I die before I can use social security, my family won't get anything. That would mean that I basically worked for someone else's benefit without being able to take my equal share when my own time came.

On the other hand, when my mother turns sixty, she is eligible to apply for survivor benefits because she was married to my father who passed away.

People talk about the rights issue because it is more emotionally riveting (and because that's how the news media frames the issue), but the root of it is economic and tied to other aspects of legality (consider how the insurance industry and the housing industry both give benefits to spouses). The issue of benefits is of greater concern to older people than it is to the young.

tl;dr - LGBTI people pay taxes just the same as everyone else, but they are blocked from receiving the same benefits as heterosexual couples for paying the same.

Safehaven is trolling everyone in here super hard.

It's hard just to read his posts cause they don't use proper grammar.

delicious legal gay bonds
I found this hillarious.

I'm glad this happened though, there is literally no good reason to stop gay folk getting married.

Except maybe the extra paper work government lackeys will have to endure.

I've always wanted to live in NY too :3

This country being predominantly Catholic means stuff like this will probably never happen here, even though recent surveys show that 70-80% of people think gay people should have all the rights you hetero losers have.

I am glad my state has moved forward, now if we could lower taxes or something like that I'd be even happier.

One of the coolest things about NY legalizing it is that you don't need to actually move there and become a resident in order to get a marriage license. You can just hop over, get married and go back home. 'Course, the odds are that the state you go back to probably still won't recognize your marriage if your partner is the same sex you are, which should not be legal for them to do in the first place, but hey it's something.

One state at a time.

Having punctuation outside of the quotation marks like that is a British thing. It also makes considerably more sense than the US convention, so I have no objections to it and often use it myself.

i usually flame when people act aggressive and stupid towards me when they dont like my posts

im sure tons of people hate my posts. who cares. but if u respond like this:

"lol your ******** yur using straw man lol idk wut it means but i sound smart u troll"

then i enjoy being blunt and telling them theyre ********.
honestly i dont know if i should find satisfaction in discovering how stupid some people can be.
i blame my parents

also people need to seriously think about all the stupid laws in this country. i got made fun of for talking about underage sex laws which are the dumbest **** ever, besides maybe the us drinking law which no one obeys anyway

well im happy that people are being treated equally regardless of their orientation, so thats all that matters itt

Really though, outside of User Blogs and private boards, you shouldn't flame at all. All it does is make everyone else enjoy laughing at you.

Not gonna lie, though; your posts are hilarious for all the wrong reasons.
