i don't like when people leave aim on because i message them and then don't get a response for 8 hours, by which time i've forgotten what I was saying

on the other hand, I always leave aim on, so i guess i'm a ******

i like when people put the "away" status to use.
if someone uses it then i know they're more than likely actually there when it says they are.
but i too, am a ******.

Could someone please explain/ direct me to the rules for strike out stage selection as opposed to random? Thanks

Strike out is as follows. To do strike out you need an odd number of neutral stages, so since most tournaments have the 6 neutrals(FD,BF,FOD,DL,PS and YS) many TO's either add or subtract a stage. I'm personally in favor of adding either Rainbow Cruise(like MLG did) or DK64. So at which point the two players decide who goes first(doesnt really matter but if they cant decide TO makes the decision). First player strikes a stage, then Player 2 strikes a stage, etc until there is just one stage remaining.

Example: Pink Shinobi vs SS
Pink Shinobi Strikes Rainbow Cruise
SS Strikes FOD
Pink Shinobi Strikes DL
SS Strikes Yoshi Story
Pink Shinobi strikes PS
SS Strikes BF

First stage is FD. Then Counter picks and the whole jazz follows.

i LOVE the strike out idea...
it's a lot better than counter picking to me...
i hate playing on BF or FoD first, but i never want to waste my ban on it, ya know?

and with the "strike out" method, you don't have to worry about whether or not you have a random reset...

ya dig?

Thanks Peter, I guess we'll try this next time and see how it goes. Mind if I steal your explanation for the tournament description?

The next one probably won't be until april. I'd really like to have another venue to do it in so it will likely depend on that.
