I've played and beat the first 2 Kingdom Hearts games 6 times. After that, I realize that 90% of those games was filler. It's like watching entire seasons of Bleach and Naruto.
Sure, there were high highs in the gameplay, there was some awesome levels, and the combat system was pretty good, but most of the stories, locations, and everything just felt "forced" and not how it should have been. Throughout the games (specifically Kingdom Hearts II), all you do is help characters that never return again in levels you re-visit. And most of the revisit every world, the story, setup, and boss fight is boring. Everything was formulaic, predictable, repetitive, slow, and stale.
Literally I would play through the games as a whole, wondering why most of it was boring. Then it struck me: the games are boring.
Then I decided to go to ogames like Devil May Cry and God of War that didn't feel "forced" or filled with filler, and I haven't looked back since.
