Me too, as well as the Mario Kart 64 toys, but Banjo's the only one that fills me with regret and sorrow. I miss Rare...

I had Mario, Yoshi, and Bowser from the MK series. I think there was more than those that I didn't have though. I play Diddy Kong Racing literally once a day. It makes me wonder why Nintendo didn't get to keep Banjo and Conker. They are a part of the DK Universe.

Nope, Olimar's MK matchup is pretty good consider MK dies at freaking SEVENTY PERCENT to a Purple uSmash.

They didn't get to keep ANYONE from DKR except for Diddy and the Kremling character. Krunch, I think his name was...
And as for why no Banjo or Conker in the remake? Probably because they had established series and were on the 360. The other characters from DKR didn't have this luxury. (Oh, and possibly because of how Conker turned family unfriendly.)

Krunch was a Kremling technicality.

edit: Yeah, that's probably why they didn't show up. Would also probably cost alot to license them, just to be unremarkable characters among many. Conker could always revert back to his "Pocket Tales" version, but that's no fun, lol.

But from what I've heard, she isn't that popular in Japan because of the Tutorial levels of FE7. (Japan obviously is used to playing FE by that point).

Some people wanted yarn Kirby in SSB4 but Prince Fluff could have his same moves.
Plus, Prince Fluff was originally meant the protagonist of the game, but then he became a secondary character because Kirby had already a fanbase to pull the game. Last but not least, he has a cool pair of though guy eyes.
He would be purrfect for a 2D match event against Mr.Game & watch and a royal battle event against Princess Peach, King Dedede and Bowser (do you get it? ROYAL battle).

I like swords. But it's not varied well enough in Smash.

We have no fencers, Katanas, etc.

An Axe, Whip, or other various weapon would be neat.

Sakura Samurai wouldn't get in before Takamaru, the original Nintendo samurai.
And Takamaru's got more to work with, like flaming shuriken, lightning mines, and even an invisibility cloak (almost wrote that as "clock").
