Nobody should've been replaced/removed in the first place, though. I'd rather everyone was kept playable.

How about Toon Zelda(young)/Impa instead? It gets rid of Toon Sheik before she would creep up, and it gives us an awesome character too. No replacements, double characters, etc.

It works well for everyone.
I suggested this before, but that would mean Toon Link had to stay in as well. Could be confusing, as we'd have: Skyward Sword / Wii U Zelda- Link, OOT / TP styled- Zelda / Sheik, ???-styled Ganondorf, Toon-styled Toon Link and Skyward Sword-styled Zelda / Impa. I think it'd work best if most Zelda characters (with exception of Gdorf now) would be based on just one appearance. Though, I'd take this as a sollution. As well as a separate Impa with Zelda / Sheik still being around. I just have a principal against Zelda / Sheik cause of balance issues, amongst things.

Where do you stand on input buffers? If you are for them, what would be considered excessive?

Do you think the music in the game should be handled by a small group ala Kid Icarus Uprising or the 20+ composers we had in Brawl?
Depends on how good Uprising's OST is (it's already pretty good, but I'd like to get the game to be sure). But for now I'd think I'd like it to be done like it was in Brawl (better Sonic songs too!).

I also dug this up on the info thread, but Nobuo Uematsu has stated that he wouldn't mind composing again for the Smash series.

An argument about who won an argument. You guys are hilarious LOL

@Diddy: Zelda has always been the weakest link when it came to balancing.

@Tri: Yeah, they didn't really try to go for any other iconic Sonic Music.

No, Toon Zelda is from the Toon Link games. Zelda/Sheik would have SS Zelda, and whatever version of Sheik that can be made. Link would be SS-like. Toon Link would either stay the same or switch with Young Link. Link would be SS.

There is no "particular" appearance that has been shown dominant. It's just whatever makes sense for a particular character. At best, OOT's design. Except for the clear factor of Young Link being based around Majora's Mask instead. So... nope, there is no single Zelda game repped outside of the first Smash only.

Also, Zelda/Impa would not be any more balanced than Zelda/Sheik, so I don't know why you bother to bring that up. He considers Zelda/Sheik to be balanced anyway.

I really don't want the SS designs. I would really like TP/Zelda Wii-U for Link, OoT/TP for Zelda/Sheik, and OoT for Ganondorf

And Sakurai has shown how well he finds the Hunters. As trophies.
Which was really significant since they were all fully formed and well detailed. They even gave them stickers on what they excel at.

Such as the weavel sticker giving the play a Beam sword.

Didn't do this for any other DS title.

Even though taking out Sheik from Zelda would do nothing for balance.
It would. As both are designed to play in a way that Sheik should be used to build damage, and Zelda for finishing of. That's why Zelda's attacks are slow but powerful. And that's also why she sucks.

It's noteworthy that both characters where a lot better in Melee. So it was noticed they (or let me put it this way: the fast damage building character) was really overpowered in Melee. Now, they both suck.

Hence why I feel they will never really get the characters to play as they should've in the first place. And seeing as cutting Sheik completely also isn't my way of doing things, Impa as a spiritual successor would imo be a good idea.

That, and I like Impa of coarse. But she's also storyline important, and quite so. So its really not a bad idea as far as replacements go.

They were direct models taken from the models used for advertisment and artwork for Prime Hunters.

Almost every Trophy in Brawl is a direct model ripped from somewhere else.
And of course there were stickers of them; There was artwork to be taken for.

@Diddy: Original Video Animation.

And taking out Sheik still wouldn't help. Even if you replace her moveset with Impa, because then, Sakurai has to reference Zelda's moves from Brawl while Impa is referenced by Sheik's moves from Brawl, at which point still draw the comparison that Zelda/Sheik had in the first place.
And you said it yourself; they were both good in Melee. Sakurai just needs to recreate what made them good and improve on it, like what the folks at Project M did.

Hopefully we'll get more variety in the next game (assuming Sonic returns). I'm surprised that they didn't have Palmtree Panic or Emerald Coast on Green Hill Zone.

BTW, I got bored so I went back and changed the music up on the City Escape stage concept, feel free to critique.

Sonic Adventure 2 - City Escape
Sonic Generations - City Escape ~ Classic
Sonic CD - Stardust Speedway
Sonic Adventure - Emerald Coast
Sonic Adventure - Speed Highway
Sonic Heroes - Metal Madness (Final Boss)
Sonic the Hedgehog ('06) - Crisis City
Sonic Unleashed - Rooftop Run (Daytime)
Sonic and The Black Knight - Knight of the Wind
Sonic Colors - Tropical Resort
Sonic Adventure 2 - Live & Learn (Brawl)
Sonic Adventure - Open Your Heart (Brawl)

They won't use the Twilight Princess designs. I'm pretty sure of that. No character has ever looked the same through Smash, why would the Zelda characters do so (who in fact, changed the most)?

SSB64 to Melee begs to differ. It may be updated graphics in comparison, but they shared designs. Every character, I mean. Not just the Zelda peeps.

Well, that's true. Yet, there wasn't a Zelda game in between those games really. All we had was OOT and MM. So that's still a logical move.

Nah I'm not saying they won't change, I just don't want them too (unless it's the Wii-U tech demo). Those are jaw dropping..

"They won't use the Twilight Princess designs."
and im guessing you expect them to use the Skyward Sword design? most likely because you want them to coincide with impa?

if he does use the skyward sword design, i can assure you it won't look like it did in skyward sword. graphics wise, entering into the cel-shading area was a downgrade from the design in brawl. mind you, Sakurai is a graphics whoore. so if it will be skyward sword, it will be the design of the clothes with the high textures of the next generation. i can guarantee 100% that Link and the rest of the characters in Smash 4 will have even better textures than brawl. (Toon Link is an exception)
