Yeah, like housing "DLC" in the disc and crapping all over a franchise.Capcom does what Nintendon't.![]()
Cell, M. Bison, that cowboy guy from Guilty Gear, Nobunaga, that cat-thing from Azumanga Daioh...For those DBZ fans in this topic, Norio Wakamoto was also the voice of Cell in Japan.
Holy crap, that's awesome. O_OEvery day, it seems like Palutena is one of Sakurai's favorite characters. Yay.
In other news, it's nothing special today for Bison.
It's still better than having everyone download big files for high prices. As for whether or not they should've been in there from the beginning, that's up to Capcom, not us. We're basically given the licence to play the initial 38 characters (not counting the Sony exclusives) which is plenty enough as it is. Whether we like it or not, the license to play those other 12 is separate and entirely up to them, and there's nothing illegal about it. Unethical maybe, but entirely legal.Yeah, like housing "DLC" in the disc and crapping all over a franchise.
Yeah, I guess you're right. Still feels like a bit of a copout though...It's still better than having everyone download big files for high prices. Well, Smeargle would be limited to using only special moves, and they would have to be moves that actually deal damage. There is the standard specials, but Kirby also covers them when he copies foes.I wouldn't mind this, seeing as it wouldn't take too much time to make. Personally I think it would take a while to get all the "Sketch" moves though.
Still Sakurai has pulled out a random Pokémon (Jigglypuff, Pichu, and the Pokémon Trainer) and a logical Pokémon newcomer (Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Lucario) in each smash game, so a "WTF?" Pokémon isn't out of the question.Nothing can be considered as "no chance," especially when it comes to Pokémon.

I was reading the comments on this and one comment in particular stuck out.Yeah, I guess you're right. Still feels like a bit of a copout though...
Regardless, I'll still get the game, but maybe used -- don't have a lot of money, myself, and I'm itching to get MGS Collection first.
I really like this idea. It's kind of like if I decided to buy Nightwish's latest album which has like two or three versions available. I basically payed extra to get the instrumental tracks that don't come with the basic release. With SFxTK, I'm paying extra to get a "premium" release. Compare this to the Nightwish album. I can't buy the basic CD and try to get the instrumental CD on its own later on. I have to buy the two disc version as well which includes a disc I already bought. With SFxTK, I just have to wait until they let us have Elena and co.I don't mind having extra characters be on the disk that I have to pay for in order to access. What I do mind is their being labeled as "downloadable" when you aren't actually downloading anything, you're simply unlocking them. Saying that they are DLC is misleading.
Game companies should start differentiating between what is actually "downloadable" content and what is simply "premium" content.
Doesn't look as good as the Goddesses OVAs, hopefully there will be some epic fights.Pit's Story:

Looks okay so far. It will be interesting to see how her OVA plays out, too bad Pit blocks a good chunk of her face. Not the best pic IMO.Medusa's Story:

Too bad it's inevitably going to look fake (which it would be) if anyone tried that in real lifeI think we can add blue haired girls to the list.
But in REALITY (and this is important) it's just a way for Capcom to set a higher pricepoint (ie making people pay more). Console games have fixed prices, but Capcom would probably do this anyway to make the game look cheaper on the store shelves.I really like this idea. And besides, I think "premium content" is a rather appealing term. Makes people feel like they're richer.
Well that does explain your support for Sheeda.I think we can add blue haired girls to the list.
I'm not quite sure yet, I'd rather wait and see how Nintendo is going to handle FE13 before anything else. So, what do you guys think of looking at DLC as premium content instead?
Problem with that is that you're looking at a very slippery slope if they do that. It's like getting the allure that you pay 5$ for the next Zelda, but you have to pay 45$ to play the rest of the story. Of course, this argument is very much YMMV. To me, the 38 characters are enough to give me hundreds of hours of play time, but someone will say otherwise. But in REALITY (and this is important) it's just a way for Capcom to set a higher pricepoint (ie making people pay more). Maybe you caught her at a bad t--Something must've caused Palutena to blush. Anyway, it is impressive what anime-styled drawings can accomplish.
Oh, I see you've got this covered.Final Diagnosis: We're all perverts.
Doesn't sound any more useless than Princess Peach and her frying pan. Peach Decomfirmed. It looks like Palutena is in the kitchen. Hence having to fight a vegetable monster. She's so useless.
Yeah, I think Premium content sounds much more accurate the way Capcom is doing things.I was reading the comments on this and one comment in particular stuck out.

Useless you say?It looks like Palutena is in the kitchen. Hence having to fight a vegetable monster. She's so useless.
I only get Game Informer myself because of the GameStop Pro membership or whatever, so I'm glad to see this little bonus@Yani: Well I'm definitely re-subscribing to Game Informer now. I'm sick of only getting Newsweek anyway.![]()
Nice observation considering that a cooking contest does take place during Palutena's story. However, a vegetable army crashes the contest. It looks like Palutena is in the kitchen. Hence having to fight a vegetable monster. She's so useless.
That's a little hypocriticial...You get Sillier by the minute dear Sir.

Same here, I wouldn't be surprised to see Nintendo Power have their own AR Card giveaway though. They have in the past with promo Pokemon cards and the Eon Ticket event.I only get Game Informer myself because of the GameStop Pro membership or whatever, so I'm glad to see this little bonus![]()

Meah, I don't care about Street Fighter X Tekken. Still, a lot of those taunts were generic, Ken and Ryu are like our Kuma/Chu gig, and that fart attack was rather random...
That's BSOasis is always the best man
Oh, okay. That still is pretty crazy, though. Also, Kirby's "absorbed" specials are a little different from most of the :bbutton: moves he steals.Well, Smeargle would be limited to using only special moves, and they would have to be moves that actually deal damage. There is the standard specials, but Kirby also covers them when he copies foes.
If we're talking Square Enix NES/SNES era characters, Crono or Geno would be the best.Playing through Chrono Trigger reminds me how much I would love Crono to be in Super Smash Bros. If people are going to support a one shot Square Enix character from a SNES RPG it should be him. Alas...
More so Crono, and after him maybe Cecil. Sorry, I do not see Geno as a good character at all. Even Cloud is not as over rated as he is. Does not mean I would not like him if he showed up in Smash, but he is not a good character. If we're talking Square Enix NES/SNES era characters, Crono or Geno would be the best.![]()
Maybe Terra (Final Fantasy VI), Black Mage, or Slime would be good, too.![]()

Crono is the only other third-party character I would really, really want aside from Mega Man. However, Crono's chances are so low, he will most likely never be a playable character in Smash Bros.Playing through Chrono Trigger reminds me how much I would love Crono to be in Super Smash Bros. Nah, I think Geno could use a lot of unique long-ranged attacks. Personally, I have always wanted to see a character with a lot of long-range moves, and so far, we don't have anything like that (the closest thing is Link/Young Link/Toon Link with 3 projectiles). Geno fits that description as well as anyone.More so Crono, and after him maybe Cecil. Sorry, I do not see Geno as a good character at all. Even Cloud is not as over rated as he is. Perhaps the better choice of words would be that he is not a well developed character.
Crono would be a great playable character, assist trophy character, etc.Crono is the only other third-party character I would really, really want aside from Mega Man. However, Crono's chances are so low, he will most likely never be a playable character in Smash Bros.
