I think i got 9th in total at that tournament, though Grim did forfeit his match which is why I wasn't 13th. Still, pro bracket's a big step forward for me. I'm gonna aim to be a top 5 Ness/Lucas user someday you guys! =D

@Nido: Tis ok, i've often fluctuated between using Ness and Lucas and sometimes Lucas is better and sometimes Ness is and i'm never sure and i would always worry that they'd stay like that. You don't need to worry, it all ends up evening out and I find my Lucas and Ness are better against different people. For instance, I did way better against Jei and a few using Ness but on the converse, going against Jamwa and the like was definitely a Lucas job.

So keep practicing and focus more on what the MU feels like to you rather than what is better/worse on paper. ^_^

The only sets recorded of me were the ones where I got destroyed. My match vs. ledge was saved (got annihilated) and my crew battles match vs. Khoa was saved. My match vs. Jei in crews wasn't saved (stupid me), which was the one I actually did well in.

Actually, my match with Dekar in pools might've been saved, i'll ask around. :o

I would be better at this game if I had an excuse to play it, atm it's hard to meet up with friends more than once every 2 weeks and I refuse to play ****ty online. If there was some sort of competent ladder system online and little lag Sakurai would be rolling in money

Ness is good, and people have MU experience vs MK, so I think MK will be harder against others.
If you really wanna though, It's up to you, and I guess MK is easier to get better at.

Also, how do I beat Lucario guise? Right now it's the character that gives me serious trouble.

Assuming you're using Ness? Your air game beats ours, you do bad on the ground. His Aura, just deal with that by fishing out a Dair or Dthrow, learn AS habits because an AS boosted with aura is very yummy for you.

I can probably see Ness winning the air game, but I'm playing Lucas, and apart from my Fair (which probably beats Lucario's by a small margin, but then Lucario's last longer so I need to land it nearly perfectly), I don't think I'm winning the air game at all. Then again, I should probably just space with PK Fires and punish his approaches, yes?

It just seems to me that all of my moves get straight up beaten. Then again, I played it for less than 2 weeks, so it's likely due to inexperience. I'm used to TripleD that has stupid long range and isn't really bothered by his aura, so it feels weird to me to play a character that has such short range on his moves.

My PSI magnets and reflects on AS are pretty much on point though. Also hyphen Usmash on the edge of the stage is amazing.

oh you're lucas vs lucario? camp him with PK fire until he's one hundred percent, then kill him with a dair dtilt lock setup or usmash his dair or just throw some sticks around (fsmashes).
Lucario is ezpz hes too slow to chase lucas so camp him. his Aura sphere doesn't beat our pkf until hes at 110%+ or something either, but i stop at 100% for safe measure.

so yeah dont approach lucario or you'll lose
