Ness' grab is super predictable though, especially after 100% when your opponent will be expecting you to fish for the b-throw kill.
Just remember not to rely on it as a kill option, sour-spot dair is awesome at high percents as a kill option, and it can be used to punish spot dodges when they think you're going to grab them

any move is predictable if used predictably

and it amazed me when i saw how many taunts he had in brawl xD


I became a ness main because he conveniently worked for me in melee for a time and he happened to be the only character i could do well with in brawl until recently xD now i use him on a quest to disprove misconceptions xD

I do that except I prefer PK Fire --> Dthrow --> jump and Fair ---> DJ Fair --> Fair (and sometimes yet another Fair)

If all of those hit and hit well it gives like 60 or 70 percent. It's incredible.

And Ness' Dtilt is fun if the opponent is backed up against a wall... Such as PS1's burnt tree. It also works amazingly well for Lucas' Ftilt. I'll find a vid for you.

It occured to me that if Ness had a less destroyable recovery and couldn't be CG'ed, he'd be in like high mid or even borderline tier.

Ness has some truly frightening things on his side. The PSI kids are one of the few mid-weight chars that have attacks that parallel the strength of a heavy.
