So what made it go longer this time?

Umm, this was the fastest completion time of any NCSU THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

The reason for that is that I made sure everyone played their matches by chasing them around the venue and then kicking people who were playing friendlies off of setups.

I actually posted brackets, went to eat lunch, and came back and in that 45min time nobody played a single tourny set. Brawl players are the worst about playing matches.

Brawl & Melee were both done by 11:15pm, and we only had 3 melee setups and 4 brawl setups.
