Just to throw this out there:

I'll likely to be spending $50+ on refreshments and other such pleasantries for the party, and likely on replacing something of Matt's that gets broken by somebody being dumb. Also, cleaning up other people's spills which no one seems to like to do themself.

I would never dream of charging anyone anything for attending this event.

However, I will be putting out a jar for cash donations by the door. I'd really appreciate if everybody could toss a little bit into it because, frankly, stuff for these Smashfests puts a strain on my wallet and this Winter is particularly tight. If you can't afford some kind of donation, try to bring some kind of food or drink or something for everybody.

Also, again, please spread the word about this event to everybody from the community you can. A lot of stuff on the boards or even FB still doesn't get out if they don't check for it anymore.
