While I do think the anime art early on was weird, I think the manga's art has always been great.
I think you're really missing out if you're not reading OP due to art.

i know there are OP vs naruto arguments... it can be pointless cuz they're completely different stories...

has OBVIOUSLY not been through all of one piece
