Sometimes I manage to sit and read a little, but I'm really sensitive to ooc stuff and bad writing. I'm pretty sure whoever wrote that above fic has never actually heard a southern accent, because no one in the south says "you'se."

I agree with that. It seems very inconsistent. That's why I take a lot of time in learning how to make characters and others more interesting in my stories. I do it for Pokemon and my biggest fear is that the quality is lacking or the characters are one dimensional. SO I can really relate to what you are saying.

Yeah, I guess it's mostly the bad writing/English that gets me. Although another thing is just how ridiculously out of context things get. I usually don't make it past the first couple of paragraphs, if even that much.

I've read quite a few fics that I kinda enjoyed.
Cupcakes, Worlds Away, Rising Tension, some April Foals fics, etc. Basically as long as it's not like a fic i'd have to read for more then 40+ minutes, has an okay story, and pulls me in to read more i'd find the Fic okay.

Pretty much. Whenever I do write, I make sure to always dive deep into each character's psyche, origin, etc.

Yeah. I just hate sounding cliche too so I avoid things like dead parent's. Angst and other things that I constantly see in other people's works. DA has some of the most obnoxious OC's.

That's because most fic writers are between the ages of 13-16.

I don't mind cliches, as long as the writer provides justification for doing it, or the event itself makes the story/characters more complex and interesting.

I've seen dead parents and angst that only improved upon the story before, so I always give writers the benefit of the doubt.

It's freaking amazing. A survival style game that you can literally do ANYTHING in.

The only thing it really misses is a story of some sort. Unless you go on a multi-player server, you are Forever Alone.
