It's probably a disingenous bait to stir the pot and get the usual "dead game" circlejerk (im not blaming PeridotGX btw, they got the screenshot from the MVS reddit which is notoriously toxic)

I have to wonder what the Devs or WB consider to be a healthy playerbase. Or maybe it's less the amount of people playing and more the amount of people putting money into the game.

Also if harry potter character join which year should they be from my personal guess would be year 3 or 4 still pretty young but old enough for some decent spells! I also hope for book skins with pure black cloack and hats! I also wonder if they do black or white hermione as the default my guess is on white cause crossovers usually use the classic versions of characters just look at velma or black adam for example!

Sweet! I've used beetles to unlock characters i don't have. That's how i got Finn and Lebron and coincidentally im missing giant

I hope this happens, it'd be smart to go back to 3. At least for the third season... Dropping a controversial character like Nubia in the same season as Powerpuff Girls and Marceline/Wicked Witch would be the best time for the masses to swallow the pill and accept her.

I managed to finish the Ghost with the Toast missions (turned out that Wonder Woman's side special, her shield, counts as blocking a projectile for a mission where you fight Jake and a bunch of sandwiches appear; makes sense, but I wish the concept wasn't so vague) and got the Green Beetle. I also reached level 70 in the battlepass, so that's a huge improvement over how it was set up originally.

I'm unlocking characters at a good rate now, which feels nice. I saved up enough fighter currency for Agent Smith and Bugs Bunny, and I used the Green Beetles that I'd gotten to get Black Adam (finishing off the DC part of the roster for now) and Iron Giant. (I still need to watch that movie) I also got Beetlejuice through the early unlock; bit of an impulse purchase, but I'm enjoying him so far. (I still have 700 Gleamium left, so I'm hoping that I get a little bit more to be able to afford the next battlepass by the time it comes out)

The game seems to have gotten a lot better since it started out. It's a shame that updates seem to leak so early due to in-game audio clips and the like, but I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Nope, you still have to unlock them. (I think you can use any character in training mode or local multiplayer without needing to unlock them, though)

Yep, last patch made it so you can use any character in Local Multiplayer.

Rifts still lock characters however select rifts still let you guest run a character (and/or variant) without needing to unlock/buy them.

It says it's a combat improvement, that seems to imply a game-wide change. Perhaps air dodges are being swapped for air dashing?

I wouldn't say it's obvious. I'm assuming you're talking about the Powerpuff Girls, but most of the other upcoming characters have some sort of flying ability. The Wicked Witch has her broomstick (and the flying monkeys), Raven can float, Marceline can float, apparently Nubia can glide, and I'm sure Dexter has invented some sort of doohickey that lets him fly.

All it tells us is that Aquaman is Probably Not coming soon, which isn't a huge shock.

The final rift of the season is now out.

In this rift, The City of Townsville is under attack by Mojo Jojo. The heroes (including Beetlejuice after the end of the last rift) arrive. Can they stop Moio Jojo’s nefarious plot? And where are the Powerpuff Girls?

As for rewards for playing on the hardest difficulty, there’s Pass XP, Toasty XP, plus all previous event currencies (5,000 for Cybucks, 1 for everything else).

Fair warning: You have to own one of each event skin at least. I recommend owning afterlife Jack, some rifts require you to play him and beat it with an undead character

Went through the rift and here are some gem requirements:

-An Undead character (by default, Beetlejuice and Jason have this) (two of the Undead required nodes also requires Beetlejuice)
-A Circuit Drone character (the bottom route with Bellhop Taz, the Target game, and Mech Suit Rick require one to play (Mech Suit Rick uses Digital gems) (Mech Suit Morty instead forces players to use Tooniverse Iron Giant, who is a guest))
-A 20-XXe character (the bottom route near the end forces them to be used. The other two times also requires Arya (I actually couldn’t beat the one against Batman who Laughs and Jason. And I’m typing this from a playthrough on Easy!))
-An Adventure Time character.
- Samurai Jack. Both of these also require an undead character.

Again, these are for the Rift XP event. Finishing the story does not require anything at all.

Not only do you have to destroy Mojo Jojo's forcefield every 5 seconds because you can't damage him otherwise, but you also have to dodge his attacks AND deal with Reindog, all at the same time. Even with a full set of level 10 gems, this fight is ridiculously hard.

Which is why i asked SneakyLink for help cause otherwise it was so hard to time the bomb with reindog on me the entire time.

With 2 players at least one can handle reindog while the other handles mojo. Although mojo dies a lot quicker if both players just gang up on him after the second platform is destroyed.

It's also kinda ridiculous that you HAVE to use Samurai Jack or Beetlejuice. It's a difficult fight no matter what, you should be allowed to use your main

Since the last reward for the rift event is a Medal that isn’t as useful since I got both of the medal skins already, I might get the Green Beetle and be done with that event (which means I don’t even have to do the Mojo Jojo fight at all.) The medal would be worth 100 Gleamium still, but… IDK.

Here's my new prediction for Year 1 of Multiversus.

Spoiler: Leaks ahead, obviously.

Season 2:

• Samurai Jack (Battle Pass)
• Powerpuff Girls (Shop, Day 1)
• Aquaman (Shop, mid season)
• Beetlejuice (Rifts)

This feels extremely obvious. Maybe we swap out Aquaman for Nubia, but Aquaman seems to be closer to completion.

Season 3:

• Wicked Witch (Battle Pass)
• Scooby-Doo (Shop, Day 1)
• Marceline (Shop, mid season)
• Raven (Rifts)

Once again, fairly obvious between the comics and the datamines.

Season 4:

• Dexter (Battle Pass)
• Nubia (Shop, Day 1)
• Ruby Rose (Shop, mid season)
• Sub-Zero (Rifts)

Assuming the reddit leak is fake, Dexter is incredibly obvious. So is Ruby. I put Nubia here, because starting in Season 5 I think they'll only do three characters a season. Nubia, a semi-clone, is a good way to transition into that. And lastly, Sub-Zero. He hasn't been datamined, but we have some inkling a Mortal Kombat character is in the works. He's far enough out that it's feasible to have a character we don't yet know about, and would be a good "wintery" and "icy" character.

Season 5:

• Daffy Duck (Battle Pass)
• Craig of the Creek (Shop, mid season)
• Gandalf (Rifts)

Some of the last leaked characters, plus a character who had voice references way back. I think they want to have at least one CN character a season, because of how most fan requests are from that side of the company, and Craig is from a currently running show that's already been vaguely considered.

Season 2 saw the introduction of Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice. Internally, they are characters C026 and C024 respectively, meaning the internal order doesn't represent the actual release order, a pattern broken all the way back in the Beta. So how does the remaining C0 list look like then?

C030 Powerpuff Girls (our next characters)

C033 Ruby Rose (due to the petal particles related to this character)

There are four slots that we currently have no character attached to it but we can infer from hints that it's probably related to the following characters: Scooby Doo, Dexter, Daenerys and Animaniacs (all of these have either future proofed voicelines related to them or associated with an existing stage and a really small hint in the launch trailer)

Notice how i ignored two characters here, those being Daffy Duck and Pickle Rick. That's because they are classified differently. Pickle Rick has a Gizmo-Stripe style labelling with him being C020B (same number as Rick, but as a separate character) while Daffy has a codename in the files: "Seasons". There's another character with a codename: Gandalf, although i have forgotten his name and im too lazy to look it up.

So, what can we infer from this list? Im fairly certain that the ones that are likely to show up first are the ones that had more data in the game, such as voicelines or a model, but even in the past that was disproven (Marvin was in the files of the beta since day 1 and he was the last character released there). And characters that present an unique situation (like legal rights such as Gandalf and Ruby) should be considered a lower priority

This follows not just the laisul datamine for the Girls, but also lets them announce the Wicked Witch around when the comics release while actually releasing her around mid-October...right around Halloween season.

Fair enough. I was thinking we might get the witch first, because she didn't have a model in the code. AFAIK, Beetlejuice didn't either, so I was thinking that maybe they scrubbed the data of the most complete fighters, while leaving the slightly less complete ones. But that's just speculation, and there's more pointing to PPG first.

I also lean towards Marceline due to all the data they removed involving her last patch but it could still be witch.

The problem with Season 3 Marceline is that we would have two Cartoon Network characters in the same season. I think they're going to want the season's characters to come from different parts of the company, in order to provide variety. That's also why Raven has to wait all the way until season 7 - I don't want to double up on DC, and the fandom would have a hernia if we had 3 DC characters in a row so I added a one-season break.
