Here's my situation... I payed $90 initially for the ability to go snowboarding on saturdays. So far I've only gone once, so the investment... was poor. It is a major loss of money for me to continuously not go, so I will be going there. However, if I come back at a decent time, which I might, I will find out where you guys are at and come join you. Sorry kirt. :\

regarding what's happening in the montreal - toronto thread started by that other guy, I wanted to post here. I hope this issue will be resolved quickly.
warranthad, actually, from what kage says, you're utter crap at this game robert.
also, zaf actually beats most of montreal at the game. he has improved the most consistently up to now (considering from where he started lol), but now he is probably top 5 in montreal. he does a few mistakes here and there, but people are always fast to capitalize and make fun of him so it shows more. aside from that, when he talks to me and when i see him play and give him tips, he actually adapts and remembers what works and what doesn't the more he plays.
that being said, in the whole montreal community, aside from ally and holy, he's the one that gives me the most trouble, and I **** mks all day in tournaments (as long as i don't get gayed twice by the blocks on rainbow cruise). zaf is good and montreal is being idiotic for not realizing this and never giving him props and always questioning his skills. at least he gets recognition when he talks to me elef and the bros.
he's been playing metaknight since the release of the game I guess? come on, he is getting better. "but he plays mk, who cares, it's so easy". then how come we barely see mks flooding the top spots in tournaments? The character is good, but it does not make the player. I suck with MK, I lose to everyone with MK, but I can beat zaf's mk, and he wins more than he loses at every smashfest against anyone else.
that being said, i agree that zaf is getting a big head but without realizing it. he is name dropping a lot, but it is not on purpose, I can see the reasons. when he does it, it's just to show you that yes, he can do well in this game, but you keep rejecting him. thus, he is being a bit more aggressive towards fellow members of the community. For now he should just take it cool when it comes to gauging who's good and who's not. I felt really bad for krewman and sphyra after reading all of this, and zaf is getting cocky. a lot. he's aware that he is getting better, and is more hasty to put them down because of their skills. personally, even if someone sucks at a game, you can crack jokes at it, but don't use that just to put down that person in a discussion or argument, that's just weak content. by the way, sphyra is kinda like you zaf, he's a gem in the rough, your eyes are clouded.
agony, practice in your living room, play in the 3 character tournament, do your best.
robert, you better not choke the jarcfest this week.
edit: like i said, i hope this issue gets resolved quickly. this thread was healthy with the arrival of stef and kev, and agora's fest around, but i hope for once we can stay healthy, and prevent another flow of suck like before.
It's also much, much better for the community to have a healthy thread.

I can now mostly do Side-B Ledge cancels to Any attacks on most of neutral stages. I learned every ledge techs and ledge grabs. I learned most of the combos (yes, combos). What I really need now is to play agaisnt real players so I can adapt to their gameplays.

For cruel, well, i told him not to act like an idiot like i did(hey at least i admit it, you gotta admit my combo video quotes were 2 good XD). And yes, i played zaf online, hes really good right now. Yes he can trashtalk alot, which isnt always nice. Anyways, i hope soon i can place in top 5 myself . However, yes he has becomed good. Funny thing is, now that im decent at the game, im tired of trashtalking like stuff, i dont see a point anymore lol. Anyways, cruel wont be going back to swf, or so he told me. We drove him off probably, so yeah. He did have connections with multimedia and stuff, but he sincerely thought some very stupid things. Like that in montreal if he got enough people, there was one who could probably beat m2k(and he meant not ally, but a random newcomer). Oh well, i guess it just was really weird.
Oh and he said something along the line: i used to be pro at brawl, but now i got a life. I have a gf you would not understand nor would most people here, they basically live for brawl.Brawl is a game, i gotta work and study so yeah.

Is this why Zaf hadn't been showing up to weeklies? This feels like the Dawson episode all over again lol. I personally haven't gotten really involved with the drama but from a bystander's PoV, I must simply say that what goes around comes around. Aside from a select few in the community who he values as better than average, he hasn't really been spreading the love per say, and its those same people that enjoy picking on him.
He did not show up to a single weekly in december, and november too if I recall correctly. Whatever improvement you refer to (which I have experienced first hand :3) cannot be fully recognized by the entirety of the community simply due to a lack of presence. It's just a shame that I had to find out myself by looking up his vids against Boss... when we live in the same town. L2W gives him props when they're due, because you've pretty much isolated yourselves and are thus the only ones even able to gauge of such a progression.
You could've just directed that at Kr3w directly since nobody really pulls that crap anymore

Also lol, that mtl-toronto thread was mainly derailed because some people just took the guy too seriously and bashed him when he really did have good intentions. Note how the people with large e-*****es have this gift for converging hate towards their person unwillingly ;].

Stef isn't system failiure, it's just a coincidence. He mostly only posts to say if he<s coming or not to the weeklies.

As far as my understanding from it, I don't think me and Zaf have any issues together anymore, especially not since I bought his friendship back the other day with a McFilet.
The problem here is, not only do you think your better then me, which is fine if you beleive it to be true yourself, but you go went around wording it in a manner that is somewhat condescending. Furthermore, you didn't seem to understand much of the happenings that went on after said conversation.
As far as hard feelings go, I'm totally fine. Heck, I have most of the community backing me up on this one so I think that I myself have little left to prove. And on that note, I think this topic is now done.
