It is the same stage.

'two versions of the Boxing Arena', makes it pretty clear it's the same Stage, with different looks. ^^ And I am happy the 'generic' design sticks. I find that blue color to be prettier than the Punch-Out version.

If the boxing ring doesn't change depending on Little Mac's presence, then what will decide the version being played on? My guess is that it's randomly selected like the Mushroomy Kingdom in Brawl.

I don't think it would make sense if each version had a slot, when all that differs from each version are the textures.

You can control which version of Mushroomy Kingdom you'll be fighting on, but you can't control which Pokemon will appear at Spear Pillar.

I know that. I'm guessing that the Boxing Ring will be like Mushroomy Kingdom, as in, it's randomly selected unless you hold down certain buttons.

Or maybe when you select the Boxing Ring, a prompt will show up, asking you to choose which version of the stage.

Of course, there's no way to know how exactly it will work. We'll have to wait until the game is released to find out.

Miiverse and its ridiculously strict/stupid mods ban anyone.


The children on miiverse hate it when someone proves them wrong on anything and immediately lose it and start deleting posts blocking users and then reporting them. The admins there i don't even think read the posts before infracting/banning someone.

Some idiot user claimed metroid was a mediocre 3rd rate rip off of zelda, when I explained to him why it wasn't, he went nuts deleted everything then reported all my posts and the admin's banned me for "harassment/bullying."


Miiverse is filled with spoiled brats who all their life have been told they're right on everything, Nintendo only encourages this mentality by banning/infracting anyone who uses logic and common sense to prove them wrong. Because apparently explaining to someone why they're wrong on a certain topic/issue is *always* considered bullying/harassment :/

So it's like GameFAQs, how does smashboards do it? I really have to hand it to the admins and moderators for making smashboards an amazing place to talk and debate, without it being sucky. So I hope there are other stage skins. It would be really cool

That's the thing though. Regardless of if you're right or wrong you're arguing with kids....most of whom are just making simple request, however wrong or unlikely they are, just dont know the specifics of character inclusion, or are just immature; there's literally no reason to cause unrest aside from "being right" (assuming they know or even care that you're right) and it wont change anything. I mean if a kid says he wants Goku in the game, arguing with him wont change the fact that Goku's not going to be in the game; the request changes NOTHING. So you can argue and cause unneeded unrest (something that miiverse is obviously against) or just let it rock knowing it doesnt matter.

That's one of the main reasons I dont usually post arguments about character choices. It just doesnt matter in the end. You can have all the evidence and theories in the world and argue about it or you can wait for proof and let the truth speak for itself.

Also (this is directed at the guy you quoted): Is there a reason you called a kid a jerk for wanting Ridley? Or is there something I'm missing?

I'd love it if more stages get a feature like the Alternate Stage Loader found in a lot of Brawl mods; since the stages I use it on are awesome on their own (i.e. Battlefield), but changing the aesthetics is nice every once in awhile.

They probably just made the generic Smash design to hide the Punch-Out elements, then decided to leave it in the game because they had already worked on it.

My guess is Punch-Out is the default and the Smash version an alternate, or in the off-chance that Mac is unlockable, the stage changes to a Punch-Out theme when you get him.

I wouldn't change World Circuit for the generic Smash stage for anything in the world.
Little Mac should've been in this game LOOONG ago, not going to deny his existance in one of the best-looking neutral stages.

I wonder if the genericness of the Smash Ring could be associated to other boxing or even wrestling characters.
Fighter Hayabusa or Starman (if there are legal issues involved with the former) come to mind.

Haha, that's totally fine, my posts tends to be pretty badly written, so, my bad, I guess. Of course I wouldn't call someone a jerk for wanting Ridley (my most wanted character, even). I simply told someone to stop Calling others jerks for wanting Ridley. So, yeah, I get what you are saying, but it's still annoying. I liked Miiverse at first, but it just became weird after a while.

It better be the same music regardless. It'd be a shame to miss out on some cool tracks just because I was/was not playing as Little Mac/Dedede.
