I wonder if the flood gates have opened. If the game happens to come out in late august and we get one character update every friday, well have 50 characters by the end of august. If they get announced every other week well have 45(+any extra E3 reveals) by the week before Christmas.

Based on leaks and speculation, how many character spots are people expecting to be in the game?

If I had the willpower, I'd stay away from this thread and the PotD for a few weeks and save up about 20 pics. Doing this every day is still great, but that wait every day is making me lose my mind.

I don't think we should get ahead of ourselves. We don't have any proof that we'll get one every other week yet. We got Diddy due to a release date and Mac for a Direct, I can't see a new character til the 2nd week in March(Trozei2, YNI).

At any rate, I am liking the recent lack of recently-revealed-character sprees. As much as I liked Diddy, I'd much rather we get pics about other things. Hoping for new item tomorrow.

Kay so it happened once and I don't personally feel like that's much of a precedent? I mean X and Y went without a vet reveal, presumably because of Game Freak's say-so. Not sure why they'd think this is more worth it.

Not sure about Trozei 1, but I think Dream Team was moderately anticipated. I think there will be something Pokemon related when Trozei 2 releases. Most likely a character or stage but possibly a new Pokemon from a Pokeball.

Yeah I do kinda wish we'd get more of other things, but characters are always cool. I mean for a while there it seemed like we were getting an Assist Trophy a week, and I don't think we've seen one since Little Mac's reveal right?

This is so true. I never thought I'd say it but... I want a break from learning about characters. Give me new stages, items and game features. What's happening with Adventure mode? Show us a screen from Classic mode!

Ooh clever, two different boxing stages. Sakurai fooled us again. Wonder what this means though...I think either we'll get to pick Smash Bros. or Punch Out when selecting the boxing stage, or it will be random. I don't see it as being two different spots on the stage selection screen, but maybe.

I don't think very many people anticipate Pokemon spin-offs as much as they do Mario RPG titles. The Mario & Luigi series apparently received good reception, and Dream Team did focus on Luigi a lot.

I agree with the people saying it's probably time for another stage. The fact we haven't gotten a single Pokemon, Kirby or Donkey Kong stage yet is baffling to me. I really hope we get one soon.

You could very easily just do something else to help you forget about it. I actually tend to forget this place even exists until I get bored and start browsing around aimlessly if I have nothing better to do at the time. XD

I really, really don't understand why some people STILL think that Little Mac's prescience on the stage will be the Alfonzo thing again. I didn't understand why people thought that was an "awesome" idea to begin with also.

-Because people are desperate for memes. Look at what happened to Villager.
-Because people want to jump to conclusions to know more info about the game relatively. We've seen Mac on both arenas already, it has no effect. It's just aesthetics.

I thought that a silhouette stage would be a great way to represent DK : TF or Returns but I'm not too sure how it would work in Smash. Actually, I'm thinking if Sakurai would even put the time into it. Still a cool concept though. I would like to see Gangplank Galleon revealed with King K. Rool, or Frantic Factory from DK : 64. I loved that place.

No, you aren't. I like the blue of the Smash one better than the purple-mix in the WVBA one.

Nope. I actually agree. I also just like the novelty of a new original Smash stage. Having the Punch Out version be solely aesthetic is a good way to keep from taking up two stage slots, though.

No I like the Smash version slightly more, I like being able to pick between the two and I'll probably switch every time I pick the stage.

I can see either random or there will be a little button to switch between versions of the arena. (And other stages that might get the same thing as the arena)

Yeah that's more than likely what we're getting. Curious why he wouldn't mention this in regard to Smashville first though. We've seen the two versions of that since E3.

I'm hoping for a veteran on Thursday/Friday. Hopefully this new pace of character reveals is kept fairly consistent.

Hell, the fact Spring Breeze also contains a boxing ring for Dedede's fight should have tipped off that he at least had done so in the original Super Star.....

LM triggering the change disproven? Obviously that must mean that D3 also triggers it becoming a Punch-Out boxing ring.
