Ice Climbers have been cut.
Please Understand.
I can't tell if that's a joke or not.....

-There's a Polar Bear in Smash Run, the one from Ice Climber.
-It was already mentioned that they had problems on the 3DS, but since Rosalina and Captain Olimar have been shown on the 3DS, the problem seems to have been fixed.

I wouldn't be surprised if the FS is called "Mega Man legends".
I sure hope not. Capcom might rush in and force Nintendo to cancel the game. :troll:

Anyways, the pic was pretty underwhelming. I understand that it hasn't been that long since the Direct, but just taking a straight pic from it with no new information of any kind is a lack of effort. I'm too busy to mind that much at the moment, but here's to hoping that Sakurai now thinks its been long enough since the Direct to start giving real material again.

I surprised so many things this is a 'pic from the Direct'. MegaMan's Final Smash is like Falcon's, in that it seems to have a Cutscene. To show a pic of it, it would have to be identical. ^^
I am curious to what it actually looks like when you Hit with it, though.

This week was a bit lackluster for pictures, but I guess not everyone noticed Peach wrap around in the Balloon Fight stage. I know I missed it at first until I saw someone mention it (mostly because my first time through my reaction was just NEW STAGE!)

That said, there are plenty of things in the direct about which we know next to nothing which could make for more interesting pics of the day. I know I commented earlier about wanting more info on the Kalos League stage, Charizard seems to have at least one, probably more, new moves, that could be explained, and there were new items like the Blue Shell where we only saw it fall/a still. Hopefully, if we're sticking with direct content, it moves into these areas.

This week's been so underwhelming. Why even bother having the Direct if he was just going to show us everything again...?

I wonder how these cutscene Final Smashes will work on the 3DS version. Can the 3DS handle that, or will it be very different?

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if the 3DS version had unique, more simple Final Smashes. It would be awesome, actually.

Come to think of it, have we seen a single FS on the 3DS yet? I don't think so. But yeah, I wonder this as well.

My theory about Sakurai being "done" for the month has pretty much been fulfilled. Oh well... On the up and up, we'll probably get decent stuff soon if Sakurai decides to take next week off. The week after the New Year's break was pretty good. Either way, E3 is now less than a month a half away and, if you're still in college or high school, there's a pretty good chance that summer break will start for a good number of you within a month so the wait for good stuff won't be that arduous.

He may be done for the month, but the month's almost done with him, too. :troll:

Though to be serious, May starts next Thursday, so we could get some non-Direct stuff soon.

I wonder if the other Mega-Men will have different color pallets pertaining to the playable Mega Man.

In my head has that will any of the other 4 megamen be a alternate costume for mega man
I seriously doubt it. Given the picture we saw today, Megaman is considerably shorter than his other incarnations. The only reason the Male and Female WFTs work despite being different in appearance is because they're the exact same height.

Also the Megamens don't share the same moves

If Mega Man has a red alt color and uses a final smash, are all the other Mega Men red?

That could end up using more memory than needed. When you think about it, in Brawl, all Bowser palette swaps used the exact same Giga Bowser color slot.

Because only one Smash Ball is ever present, it's impossible to see multiple Final Smashes be executed all at once.

We get it, you hate Sakurai and Smash sucks now.

@Radical Beam
Well, StarFox's future was about how well that Remake did, I Think. Did it do well? If yes, of course there will be more. ^^
They better replace Krystal with General Scales.
I never said I hate sakurai, I dislike the decisions he is making with the roster and how he is handling the hype an have ever reason to voice my disappointment as much as everyone who praises his glory. There are things I do like but the character roster is the most important part of the game to me.

As the flickr/Press Kit pics even show, the Male one looks downright weird when doing some of the moves the Female one does. Like it doesn't fit at all. That said, it's not like the costume wasn't an easy choice.

It just doesn't work that way with MegaMan. However, him having Alts of similar sized characters like Proto Man and Bass might work out fine. Marvel VS Capcom's colors even gave him a Black(Bass), Red(Proto Man), and Green(Choose your character reference. Although I can't think of any prominent Green ones. Sniper Joe? Snake Man due to the Ruby's Spear cartoon? I dunno). Besides those probably being in, he might get a Yellow color at least. The thing is, with Elec Man being the only known Assist Trophy, giving him direct Alts of guys like Proto and Bass actually would explain why neither were Assists. Of course, this is speculation and they still may be ones. We got more than one Metroid Assist Trophy after all(three for cripes' sake).

Well, we could just be over-complicating things.
Perhaps the other Mega Men won't change, but Mega Man himself will be said changed color.

A few filler PotD's and the hype is dead. Yeah no, if we endured through the Fillerfest that was October 2013, we can endure a few filler pics after we got 5 characters and a ton of info in the same month.

True, but still, saying that the hype is dead after a bit of filler is kinda exaggerating.
Not really; the hype is dead, there is nothing to retain it. A few reveals only go so far; that is the predominant reason that no game reveals a huge amount of information at once. They release bits and pieces, something to maintain the momentum. As of current, there is nothing to keep people interested. That will change around E3, of course.

So if they don't "fit", that makes the Male one the "Wii Trainer"

..... that sounds wrong

Well specifically I meant the opening musical theme but yeah I agree wholeheartedly xDD Not to mention how many iterations of the damn Brawl theme there were it was practically being hammered into my head like "DO YOU GET THAT BRAWL IS EPIC YET??" The song and overall themes and presentation of the game never really impressed me much after the initial high. I can agree that Melees atmosphere and presentation felt eons better than Brawl. Hell honestly 64 felt better overall to me than Brawl.

I dont much care for the climbers personally lol I dont really see the point in their inclusion and, while I dont see them being cut, I wish they were left out this time around.
Oh, well yeah, I like that way more than Brawl too haha I really like that they included a short part in the main theme that's actually part of 64's character selection theme. And yeahhh, I feel ya with the "Im cool right??" feel. I was really excited for it on the dojo, and then when I got it I was super stoked, and I played it and was happy! Though I remember thinking the new air-dodging was strange, I always had fun with Melee's but whatever! And I got used to it. Then I tripped... Now I think it's a great game and a great step forward in the Smash series, introducing lots of cool stuff like footstool jumping! But even Sakurai said Melee was better, and yeah, totally agree. 64's atmosphere better than Brawl? Hm... well... Yeah, I can agree to that! At the end of classic mode when the announcer doesn't even announce the last challenger and you fight Master Hand who is so mysterious and strange, and the music stops as soon as you defeat him... I find that experience way better than the end of Brawl Classic Mode where you fight on final destination with whoever just before, and then fight Master Hand to Brawl's... (sorry...) monotonous theme, which to me instead of saying "Huh?? Who is this?? Hope you survive!" said "Yeah, its Master Hand, beat him up again, epiccc" and the music continues after he's done which makes me feel like none of it really mattered. And I guess it didn't. Matches in 64 and Melee just feel like they matter so much more than in Brawl.
I don't really hate Brawl, its a great game, but I found the others in the series to be much better, and am delighted to see we may be getting back to a more mysterious intriguing atmosphere. Maybe... It still does kinda have that "Just have fun feel" but I haven't played it yet! Final Destination looks glorious, and for glory mode with many different final destinations give me hope.

Sorry, that was quite a ramble! It's fun to talk about this stuff!
Climbers? Oh yeah, if they didn't appear I'd go "Aww, really? Okay." and feel bad for people who liked them. They're cute and unique and a fight between them, Olimar, and Rosalina would be very interesting! Besides, I really doubt they're cut... many characters before them have a greater chance of biting the dust, and Smash Run has their polar bear. Not conclusive evidence, but eh, they kinda feel like a series staple to me.
